Purchased 3.5lbs of clams and 9 out every ten were dead. Not sure if someone new working seafood because they should've known this. At store their necks were hanging out and even I should've known better. Got home checked online and sure enough they dead and toxic.

Items are usually not in stock, small selection of items, lettuce is usually turning red, peppers are always wilting, meat packages especially chicken are always soaked and dripping with raw meat juice, never any hand sanitizer or towels near them. The bathroom is super far from that section as well. They don’t put nutrition labels on some Hannafords things. Just a terrible store compared to other parts of the US.

Not sure of her name but cashier 0166 is so incredibly rude every time I end up being cashed out by her. A few weeks ago, refusing to take a digital Similac coupon because she had never seen them before, even though I had used one at this same store many times before, she refused to let me use it. Today, asking me if I even knew what I was buying my child for formula when their system was having trouble with my WIC card, and rolling her eyes saying “seriously?” when I asked to put the formula back because I couldn’t afford $50 of formula out of pocket. Attitude check or empathy training for sure.

This Hannaford is an easy stop from exit 53 on the Maine Turnpike. Super simple to get right back on the pike from here too. The Hannaford itself is pretty nice. Their cheese department has a lot to choose from. Tonight the olive bar was completely empty though which was disappointing and I do feel other locations have a larger bakery department. Overall a very good Hannaford.

I called to see if the Falmouth Maine store was open due to Nor’Easter we are experiencing, and whoever answered the phone was absolutely rude! “Yeah we are open.” CLICK !!! WOW I mean we are all in this together and I was checking to be safe ! Guess I am not going to that store !

We have been customers of Hannaford since we moved to Portland 35 years ago. There are other grocery stores in the area which we have tried here and there over the years but Hannaford has shown us the most consistency. Every department, whether it’s bakery, fish, meat, produce or health food you can always depend on Hannaford to have the freshest food, lots of variety and the best prices. If you haven’t tried Hannaford I would definitely recommend you try it out.

Two stars because the produce section is great; however, I have twice gotten really aggressive and unhelpful customer service at checkout.This last time I offered to buy additional checkout bags and asked them whether they thought 2 or three bags would do it. I received no reply, probably because the cashier was throwing tomatoes and fruit I had chosen carefully down the conveyor belt as fast as she could go. The person bagging was stuffing things into my bags as fast as she could to keep up.They started ringing up the next person while I was trying to figure out which loose items I could cram on top of the already full bags. Catching sight of my scowl, one of them said, "Is there a PROBLEM?!" In a voice designed to intimidate rather than help.I explained what I was upset about, and they said, "here's a free bag." They put one item in it, leaving all the rest of my produce and other things mashed together into the other bags. If this was the first time, I'd give them another chance, but I already did that. I'll go back to shopping at the Hannaford in Portland. There's more people and longer lines there, but they've always been pleasant and helpful.

We always do a pick up order and they usually have what is on the list. The people in that department are always so pleasant and nice, and the addition of text pick up/notification system is fantastic. Extra points the pick up site works without making me download an app to use it!

It's a nice Hannaford. Clean normal shoppers. Just need a rule that only so many items are allowed thru the self checkout isles. No full grocery carts that hog up a register for 45min

Made my first trip inside this store yesterday and it is WONDERFUL! It's so big. So many options of everything. Loved the 1/2 an hour I spent in the shampoo & soap isle. It's surpassed Whole Foods and the Co-op in my eyes. I'm downloading there app now to start a rewards membership & I normally refuse to add apps to my phone. This store is worth it!

The most asinine thing is the fact they have SIX self checkouts, but still insist on having a 14 items or less cashier. When you have a line to the freezers, this is irritating to say it nicely.

So get this, we placed an online order for pickup, pretty standard stuff. It was for a nice big dinner. They called us and wanted us to come pick it up early, which is actually cool, but then they informed us they didn't have the Maine ingredient, the thing the entire meal revolved around. We told them to cancel the order, but the girl was like, oh wait, I'll just have the butcher cut you what you want.Great. We told her we'd be there in 30 minutes. So we get ready, and drive out there. Then the lady we talked to said they don't have the meat and the butcher won't cut us any.We then told the lady we wanted to cancel the order and she flipping hung up on us.All they needed to do was call us and let us know they couldn't give us what we needed. But no. Instead they assumed we would drive out there and we would pick up the items we already told them we weren't going to get without the main ingredient.Super shady Hannaford. And you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Found a whiskey here that I had for the first time in France. That's pretty cool. It's clean and we'll kept here. It's easy to find everything.

My shopping was fine but when I was doing self check out Ruth stepped in and scanned her badge and asked me what I was trying to do. I had just scanned a coupon and she didn't even give me time to put it in. Then she proceeded to talk to me like I was a child and tell me that when the light is blinking that means I need help and she put in my coupon for me. I did not need any help and I don't need anyone taking my coupons out of my hands. I don't know if she was trying to make me feel stupid but that's what it felt like.

The horses are beautiful. The leaders are friendly and enjoyable. The ride however is pretty much uneventful. We took the two hour ride and saw three bridges. Heard some history. The "views" were "look quickly" "missed it" moments. It was mostly a nice ride through the woods if that's what you wish to do.

Patti, the customer service manager was so rude to my family and myself. I have never seen a Hannaford truly not care about customer service on this level.We had two items, all of the lanes were piled up, the self check out lanes were piled up and customer service was empty. I asked customer service if they could check my two items out and she said she couldn't unless I was buying lottery tickets as well.I said that this was not what I expected from Hannaford customer service, and "Patti" the customer service manager came over and was curt, said to just check it in, didn't talk with me at all, and walked off before I even left.Wow....Hannaford? This is your best?

Bonus points to Hannaford for having my favorite blueberry waffles in the family pack size. Hard to find, and always appreciated.If you decide to frequent this location, do be sure to sign up for their discounts through the app. You'll regret spending more than you need to if you miss that option (learned by experience)

Came in during the lunch hour rush. The store was mobbed. The hot food area had squat available, most pathetic display I've seen in the food area. Wouldn't kill you to restock that stuff, cant be good for business to keep next to nothing out during busy hours. Won't be wasting my lunch break again

Best produce. Shelves rather empty due to pandemic but no worse than other stores. Would be happier if masks were required though most people do wear them.
