Always loved this store and their employees. The store itself was well stocked, clean and being cleaned while I was there, and people were attentive and helpful. I also brought my 1 year old corgi puppy in for the store experience (I have 4 and rotate through them) so he could encounter difference sounds, smells etc while reinforcing training as I shop. He was warmly recieved and employees and shoppers alike all said hi, plus we got the extra perk of encountering a couple other dogs as well with their owners. I do not know if you are like me, but when I go in, I always have a list of NEEDS (this time was door deadbolts and knobs, along with a few other miscellaneous things), BUT I came out with some awesome WANTS like nice plant pots and some awesome plants including a gorgeous massive healthy airplant for a great price!

Love the place except their employees have very little to no knowledge when it comes to building something or home repair, I was a carpenter for almost 30 years so I know what I'm looking for. I've also stepped in to help customers when an employee has ZERO clue what the customer is talking about.

This homedepot is typical of the franchise. lots of twisty over priced product on the shelf, no help in sight, and when you do get helped 50% of the time you would have been better off searching youtube or google for your answer. its nice that this company exists because they have good hours and the other local options are even more expensive which is crazy, but the truth. Skip the store credit, and any highend tools, you will do better with warranties elsewhere.

I am slowly renovating the house I bought last year and Home Depot is basically my second home now. I've had to ask for help a few times either lifting or locating or a little advice on which item is better than the other and everyone is generally pretty friendly and eager to help. I make sure to not seek out people who look like they're on a mission haha but everyone is nice, even the people attending the registers. The guy that helped me load my lawn mower last weekend (Joseph, SO nice!) made sure to remind me to fully charge the battery before I used it and little things like that make me keep coming back. They're just very helpful and seem to want you to get the best from what you're doing.

I have never had an issue with Home Depot until I ordered a bulk delivery. I live on a small island about an hour away no biggie but I don’t own a truck and the items I needed are to big for my Jeep. So I decided to foot the cost of delivery, and order in one big go. The delivery required a signature so I had it set up for a weekend delivery. Half of my items were not unloaded from the truck. One of those items included a large storm door. We called Home Depot and the lady on the phone said she needed to investigate the problem. About four hours later we get a call and were told that half our items were not loaded on the delivery truck! I know they have an invoice to look at when loading.. frustrated we settled on them re-delivering six days later was the soonest they could get us in… We told them we would need them to delivery later in the day if it was on Wednesday as we work… they delivered at 9AM.. and they still forgot items!! We ended up having to drive down to the store to pick them up. I also had to return a part of mesh fencing because they gave me the most rusted/corroded piece they had. Overall I will never order from them again. I’ll take the extra hour drive and go to Lowe’s.

Home Depot is Home Depot... Always staff around asking how they can help you, and every tool you need for any job. I ordered replacement windows without issue during my last trip.

Always has what I need at very good prices. I had to get 7 pieces of plywood during this visit and despite it was 8:00 pm, it was very easy to get help loading them on a cart then in my truck. The employee was so patient while I had to reorganize the bed of my truck. All in all I will be back again and again!

Hey! Its Home Depot! Clean and friendly. Many helpful trades people on staff. Dog friendly. Clean bathrooms. Damn self serve checkout but a few human checkouts still left too - especially at the contractor door. Yup, its Home Depot and its Maine. It's good.

Usually you pay less for lower quality. But not here, I was in a pinch and had to replace a tool. This was the only place open that carried the brand I was looking for. They didn't carry the model I wanted so I grabbed the next best only to find that the cheaper version was the same price as the better one. Lesson learned, buy local avoid big box.

The PRO desk in Ellsworth is outstanding, Sarah and Amy are complete Rockstars and they have always pursued customers best interest and have gone out of their way several times just to make it happen!Thank you for everything you folks do!

Most of my experiences at HD are less than satisfactory, with a large number of their staff being completely incompetent about their store and its products.I was told a specific part (that is regularly sold in store) would be in on a certain day. I came back that day, they told me to come back in an hour after they unload the truck. I came back an hour later, a different employee told me they should have never said that, the truck won't be unloaded until the evening. Come back the next day, the part wasn't even on the truck. Considering multiple people were spoken to on multiple days, you would think someone would be intelligent enough or alteast respectful enough to let me know it won't be there. Waste of my time and energy, as usual, Home Depot. Stop lying to your customers and hire some people that actually know about lumber and hardware.This was not a supply issue, this was direct incompetence on the employees end. Or just lying to get me to leave them alone for the moment.I stopped into Hammond lumber after this exchange. I could tell they were much more knowledgeable and considerate than Home Depot. I recommend doing your shopping there or at Viking Lumber.

5 stars for top notch service. These guys went far and beyond, stayed open 2 mins to let me in cause I drove from 45 mins away, and helped me load the truck after the fact. 👌👌👌

Did some shopping for some very large pieces of lumber, and drywall, and got wall boards. Nickolas, was a very big help to me, he helped me load 3 very full carts into the back of my truck. He made sure all was secure, as I've never carried such a big load before. Nickolas is a very big assets to this store. I highly recommend him, if you ever need help with large pieces!!.

Placed an order for a Cub Cadet zero turn. Ordering process via the app was easy. I received a text yesterday that my mower was delivered to the store and ready for pick up. I called the store this morning around 8 am and was told that yes it was ready and to just come to the service desk and they will give instructions on where to go from there. My husband drove 1 hr and 45 minutes and the mower was still on the pallet and not assembled. He had to get a nice employee named Martin to assist him with assembly and then the manager John helped him get it on the trailer since they didn’t put gas in it. “Curb side delivery” or the “yes, it is ready” means that my husband does not have to assemble something that should have in fact been ready to go. My husband couldn’t even start the mower or get instructions on any part of the mower because they didn’t put any gas in it. Just very disappointing. I worked for HD years ago and I know they pride themselves in their take not tell approach. This is not the standard that I am used to from this big box. BUT thank you Martin for helping assemble and thank you John for listening to me and then at least getting it up on the trailer.

I finally got my Milwaukee inspection camera there at this store, I live in Canada and for the 1.5 years it has been sold out I was in the USA and found it at this store so so happy to get it and the staff was awesome in assisting me thanks again…😀

Worst service o have ever experienced, and that says a lot. I ordered a stove and set up to have it delivered. No one called, no time frame or confirmation. I had to go to the store and ask if they were coming. It was being delivered monday. I was assured yes, all was well. We came home to find a note that they had been here. I call customer service and called the delivery people. I was put on hold for an hour and a half. I hung up. Customer said they could get it delivered friday. I took they day off work unpaid because I was not leaving it to chance. The driver showed up however without the stove wondering what he was there to do. In all I speny 9 hours in the phone, a day off work and now they tell me it'll come next Wednesday. To be contd

Home Depot is a well inventoried building supply outlet but in my opinion it isn't very customer friendly, because there's not enough people that work there to help customers find products that they are looking for.

If something is to good to be true it probably is...I ordered a new Frigidaire Gallery induction range and Gallery refrigerator almost a month ago during one of the promotion periods and got a really good deal so I thought.Delivery was supposed to happen July 23rd, I was so excited, I even took the day off to prepare my kitchen for delivery. I monitored the progress of the delivery all day long using the Home depot website, they tell you what number in line you are. So as soon as I noticed a problem I called customer service to see what was up. It was on the truck for delivery and apparently the drive sat in my driveway and attempted to call me for over 20 minutes.Number 1; If he were in fact parked in my driveway I would have noticed, but he was not even at the correct address. Instead was in Ellsworth sitting in a Church parking lot across the street from Enterprise car Rental. I am located in Trenton.....Also note there were no incoming calls or voice messages on my phone to ask me for directions. I am the one who initiated communication as soon as I noticed a problem. I am very easy to find, right on a main road and there is no excuse for a driver to be this incompetent. I called The HD CS and I spoke to a rep on the phone, he was rude and could have cared less about my appliance being delivered to the wrong address. And would not rectify the problem. He told me they could not get them to me before the end of August. He was more than happy to cancel my order for me. What kind of business is run this way were customer satisfaction doesn't even matter?So I hopped into my truck and went directly to the customer service desk at our local store. The lady working at the desk was super helpful and sweet, but then her shift ended & she had to leave and a guy named Paul took over. He on the other hand was as useless as t!ts on a bull, and had an enormous attitude problem.He called me this morning and told me the soonest he could get me my appliance was August 13th. Well fella, that's not good enough...I canceled my order and learned my lesson in the process. I will never ever buy major appliance from Home Depot ever again. I will be going to a small locally owned business (Brown's) were they actually care about your satisfaction. And will have my new stove and fridge delivered & installed in a timely manner(before mid week) and will have service if any issues in the future. . .

As usual. Web search. They have what I need! In the store.. they have NOTHING I NEED! Why do I waste my time? Because I have to shop in Ellsworth Maine, with few choices on my way home from work... Otherwise, I wouldn't step foot in big box. The service stinks, they never have what I'm looking for. Low end warped lumber.. Terrible place to waste your hard earned cash.

The only thing I did not like about my experience today is the fact there were only 4 self check outs opened, does anyone realize how many people touch those? There was a employee there to help if we needed, she should have been working the register. At least she was able to hold and pet a little pup. I felt like I was in training to work there.

Went to Home Depot in Ellsworth Maine to buy a John Deere lawnmower. They had 14 in stock. We bought one online while there and were told it would be fully assembled and delivered to our house. It came today.It was scratched and pieces were missing. They sent us the display model! My husband called them and it took him a LONG time to finally get to talk with someone. He ended up talking to the manager and she said she would work with us. The department person was supposed to call us. He never called. My husband drove there. By then he was really not happy.Can you say return? Home Depot will be picking up the lawnmower and we will get our money back. We are very, very disappointed about the customer service and the fact they couldn’t assemble a new mower but had to deliver us the display model. Never again Home Depot. You have lost our business.
