I started bringing my lab puppy here for puppy kindergarten and regular grooming. I couldn’t be more happy with the services provided by all the staff at STWA. The staff is all so friendly and go above and beyond to make my pup feel like they are their own. My puppy comes home tired from all her amazing, personalized activities along with smelling amazing from her baths. I highly recommend their deshed for any shedding dogs and their canine rec center. If I could leave 10 stars I would!

I took my 1.5 year old german shepherd to get her nails clipped today as a walk in. She is VERY dramatic, talkative, yells, and a wimp about other people touching her. These girls were great, knew everything to do to help calm her down, the proper steps to make sure she maintained safety during her spell. Will be back!

$80 for a DRENCHED, dripping wet bath. $80. I'm beyond livid and will never step foot in this place again.a MANAGER NEVER called me to rectify this issue. You guys could have at least raked a brush down him before sending him dripping out the door.

Our 60 lb Goldendoodle has been groomed by Something to Wag About 2x this summer. We’re so thankful for the groomers as they try to meet our wishes and keep Mac happy with the relatively short time he’s there. Honestly, Mac seems to love pedicures and hair stylists almost as much as his human mother/sisters- his groomer today said he constantly wagged his tail! This is a place we want to bring our dogs as long as possible!!! Thank you!! We’ll see you next summer and hopefully before.

I have been taking my Ellie(teddy bear Sheltie) here after some bad experiences in Bangor &Brewer. Ellie has separation anxiety, the groomers at Something To Wag About have been working with Ellie to make grooming a better experience for her. They also gave us a list of things to do at home to help Ellie enjoy her grooms. I have recently lost two of my other dogs to porcupine attack, and when Ellie was in for her groom they were so patient and good to her as she's been through a lot. Today we brought our new puppy with Ellie and the staff were so patient with Loy as well. I honestly can't say enough good about these groomers. They really have been wonderful to my furry babies.

We've done the walk-in nail trim for our greyhound speed twice now.They are quick & excellent!The facility is wonderful! When it's time for a full grooming, we'll definitely be coming back!

I set up an appointment really easily and got my English Bulldog in for a bath and nail trim on a short notice. She still smells all clean and she was really happy when I picked her up so I know they took care of her and gave her some lovin! Very affordable at 40.00 bucks. She even left with a cute little bandana.

We have been taking our landseer newfoundland here since she was 6 months (she's now almost 4) and have never had a bad experience. She gets really matty due to snow, mud, swimming, etc. They always go above and beyond. A plus, she loves going too!

Best Groomers Ever! They show my Tank so much Love and Patience whenever I take him in for a nail trim! 125 pound Cane Corxer who I have always had a lot of trouble doing his nails, sometimes taking all day to just get his front or back nails done. The first time I took him here they were done in less than 1.5 minutes. And I would have been happy paying even double what they charge! They are Amazing and I highly recommend Something to Wag About!

After a terrible prior experience at another facility we feel so confident in dropping our guy off with the STWA team.We also love our grooming spa days, where he comes home smelling and looking his best!Can’t recommend enough!

Amazing staff and facility. I had a sudden need for a groom and called for the first time - they fit me in as soon as possible and took excellent care of me and my pet. I was nervous as he had never been groomed before but as soon as I dropped him off all my fears were gone! Each staff member I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly knew their stuff. Great loading area that makes drop off stress free. Very happy and would definitely go back. My pup as well as the others there all seemed very calm, I didn't see a single nervous dog. I would give them an extra star if I could!!

So. I am not sure. Took my 4 month old Newfie/Aussie mix for a basic bath. It took 3 hours and minimal communication for his 45lbs self to get clean. No worries. A job well done is a job they can depend on in the future. That being said, they did not have any behavioral feedback for me when I picked him up which I thought was strange. He's a puppy. I'm SURE he grumbled or grumped about SOMETHING. The concerning part is that there is a HUGE section that is not made visible to the dog owners where it would appear as though all but the shaving occurs. But the part that took my 4 star review down to 3 stars may not even be their fault though I have found no other explanation. That same day, my dog started being aggressive to strangers and people he had met briefly before. This was not his first grooming experience away from me and previous to this, he LOVED strangers. It was like a switch was flipped. And the only thing that changed between the two behaviors was that grooming appointment where near nothing could be seen from the customer area and they had a lack of report to give on a puppy. It could all be happenstance. But I rarely find that to be the case in life.

We are traveling and brought our dog here for a nail trim. Specifically because they are supposedly fear free rated. They took our dog back and then came back and asked we muzzle him. First clue he was nervous. Brought him back out, we paid and left. When we got outside it was obvious by the smell that he had expressed his anal glands due to nervousness. No mention of this from the staff, but the smell is super bad. Trying to find a self service dog wash in town. Real bummer.

Have to say I am very surprised that both my trips to Something to Wag about were so bad. My first trip they only gave her a bath and nothing more which took 2 1/2 hours. Why?? My last time in I had made an appointment, dropped off my pup and was told the lady who is grooming her would be back in 10 minutes to do her because she is the owner and most experienced with small dogs, which was great, or so I thought. More then two hours went by and didn't hear from them so I went in to pick up my pup. Now, mind you, I had an appointment, when I went in to pick up my dog, she had never been touched. Left in her kennel for more than two hours and they never touched her!!! She had the nerve to say that she was up next to be groomed. Really??? Over two hours, what was the point of setting an appointment??? I said no she isn't, give me my puppy back, I can't believe you have had her all this time in a kennel and never touched her. They are the worst, no apologizes, just told me to make an early appointment next time!!! I said you made the appointment and time. Really, like I want my dog treated this way again? No, way would I take a pet there again.

My Golden Retriever, Willy, is my whole world. The entire process to make a grooming appointment is very straight forward! The website is easy to use to set up appointments. The staff is flexible (allowing a early drop off). They called with any questions, which I LOVE. Willy got treated like royalty the entire time, and most importantly he came home cute, cuddly, and happy.Update: two days later and he still smells, feels, and looks AMAZING. Thank you so much!!

Stopped in this morning for a nail trim for my 9mo Labrador puppy. The place was buzzing! Despite that, she went right back and was attended to. I could watch through the window and she was treated with care and efficiency. In and out in less than 15 minutes for $15. What a treat to have this service nearby in Ellsworth!

Absolutely horrible customer service . Went with a friend to drop off their dog for a service and was met with nothing but rude behavior by what I would assume is the owner. Was looking forward to checking out the place with my friend as I am new to the area and have 3 dogs that could definitely use their services. Not now. How can you run a business where you are rude to your customers and possibly future customers. The staff looked soo annoyed that actually had to do their job and do what we as customers PAY THEM TO DO. So So sad it's a cute place ran by very ignorant people who obviously still have much to learn about running a business WILL NEVER RECOMMEND. STAY AWAY take your business elsewhere 👋👋

We were vacationing in the Bar Harbor area and had some day trips planned and we needed a place for our dogs to spend the day. Margaret genuinely loves and cares for each dog that goes to daycare there, and it really put my mind at ease leaving my dogs in a new place.They have a facebook page dedicated to the parents of the dogs who go to daycare, where they provide updates and photos. I would recommend Something to Wag About to anyone visiting the area!

As you can imagine trimming a Great Danes nails is a tall task for a single person. These wonderful ladies(took 3 of them) did it with ease and a gentle touch that kept my girl from being too anxious. She handled it like a champ and I will be returning frequently for further nail work. We will also be taking advantage of the private training lessons. Thanks STWA!!

1st time there was for a nail clipping, got right in and my dog wasn't nervous at all quick service. I booked a bath for her again quick service, didn't take a whole day or a 1/2 a day and plus she was a very happy dog. Very kind people. And reasonably priced. Will be back.

I came to get my two dogs nails clipped. I misunderstood the hours and accidentally came when the groom part was closed but the daycare was open. Margaret asked what we needed and took them back anyways and did an amazing job!!!!! It was so appreciated!

Highly recommend Something to Wag About! They were able to take my dog in for a walk in nail trim/grind without any wait. She was a little nervous and shaking, but the ladies working hugged her tight and talked to her the whole time to keep her calm. Great service for a great price!!

We visited Something to Wag About three times now with our 18 lb Roscoe and the experience has been wonderful. He has never let people cut his nails without getting very nervous and for whatever reason he is extremely calm with the staff. I fully recommend this business for your pet's needs.

Absolutely horrible groomer. I took my beautiful long hair dog in for a groom, showed them pictures and deeply expressed I didn’t want it cut too short and they shaved him! I’ve been going here for several months now and they know that he doesn’t get shaved. Not only that but being a double coat dog it’s dangerous to shave them and the groomer should have known that. At a complete loss for words. Why on earth did they shave my beautiful husky mixUpdate: I was surprised to see a response from the owner on my review. I sent her a email when all this happened including pictures of my dog and what I showed the employee, the only response I personally got was a receipt showing my money was refunded, not a single word more. Her response to my comment is only to save face, and speaks volumes about character. My dogs photos are actually uploaded to their web portal, I did that when I first became a customer last year so they totally had access to the photos as well as a description of how he gets groomed, they just chose to ignore it and do whatever they wanted.**just so everyone understands***His hair is normally 4-5 inches long and about 70% of which is black hair. Yes you read that right, black hair. They shaved him so close that it took his colors away. This wasn’t a small mistake or misunderstanding, it’s borderline abuse. And for it to happen to such an old dog at the end of his life (13) should be criminal
