I recently went in to purchase some supplies for my new chinchilla, which the gentleman that sold him to me in Bangor did not know what my chinchilla needed at all to be comfy. Thankfully both the lovely ladies that assisted me knew exactly what my chinchilla needed to be comfy loving and sweet. Now my chinchilla lets me pet him and everything. Thank you so much.

We wanted to get a fish for our daughter to show her responsibility and how to care for something so we came to maine pet & aquarium we ended up getting one for her our other children and ourselves the owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful she showed us to have a real and Functional aquarium its not just putting a fish in a small bowl with water we got all the water treatments the best filters and pumps she showed us what kind of things would keep them happy and healthy. They have become a bit of a Focal point of our living room now and live very well. Spoiled fish 🐟 and we will undoubtedly be returning it was refreshing to see someone so invested and knowledgeable, but also kind. And helped us figure out what would be the best fit our lives... can't say enough good things

Pretty consistently good. Sometimes useful items rotate out of stock which is annoying, but they will special order certain things for you on request. Have several buyer programs and good deals weekly. have stuff for fish, dogs, cats, rodents, birds, etc. Unlike the other pet store in Ellsworth, they didn't sell me pregnant animals.Owner/manager is pretty nice too, came in without the receipt with expired product (that I got from them, it only happened once in over a year of patronage) and they exchanged it for store credit without a fuss. Definitely the pet store to go to in Ellsworth, in my opinion.

We were visiting from Richmond, Va and I noticed some black Cory cats at an unbeatable price. I failed to get the woman’s name helping but she really helped us get all my fish home safely. It’s been about 17 hours and all 13 fish are safely in Virginia and acclimating. I am not 100% sure if they will all make it but so far so good. They were very healthy in the store which is why I bargained with such a large purchase. Fingers crossed but so far my expectations have already been exceeded.

Lotta products good stuff don't care for the staff though they should have a sign up for children so the children and adults understand completely not to squeeze the dog toys in the building.

Very pleasant experience and very nice variety of pet supplies. I went here to get a lovely little blue parakeet two months ago. She is a doll! The lady I spoke to made sure we had everything we needed before bringing our new baby home. Do recommend to others, especially other bird owners who need supplies for their birds.

Went in today for fish shopping for our new family tank great selection of fish left happy with our choices but was a tough decision.. thanks for a great visit.Only thing for me was the sunday buy 1 get one fish didnt realize 5 and under priced but still a great visit thank you

Got a kick out of some of there catnip toys but far as birds and fish and reptiles go not much to pick from , but dog leashes and harnesses were a fair price, just everything else was a little pricey as far as dog and cat food goes and toys

Support local.Dont do Walmart. Visiting area, we stopped here twice and got genuine, knowledgeable advice, opinions, and instruction on top of great competitive pricing. Better selection of quality products, foods, and treats. Plus specialty products too. We'll definitely stop back on our next trip through with our pup.

WORST PLACE TO GET FISHI got 6 fish from here for my birthday and it's been 6 days and I have 2 leftThe girl who helped us told us what to do, we searched up what to do, and we did it. The fishes I got that are now dead were sick and 2 minutes before I thought they were okay they stopped swimming and layed down in the tank not swimming at all. DONT GET FISH HERE!!!

This place is amazing!As soon as I walked in the door. The employees immediately recognize you. They will ask if you need help with finding anything and help you in a timely fashion.Well stocked and have lots of options.Their adoption and pets are well taken care of, as well as their environment(cages, tanks ect)They're are very patient and listen to your needs and questions.I highly recommend coming here for you needs.I have a bearded dragon and just moved to Maine and was in need of crickets and they helped me get them as soon as possible.

Absolutely amazing! They are so helpful! I love going here to get my chinchilla and fish tank supplies. They were very helpful with helping me get my first fish tank in years going. All the clerks are very nice and they even replaced a fish for FREE! Prices are a little high but very worth it!They also take very good care of all the animals they have!I recommend going here for your new pet(s) or supplies for your pet(s)

The #1 Pet Store in Ellsworth! The other one wouldn't even bother to help. Maine Pet was very helpful and very informative. Definitely onlypet store ill relay on. Thank u for given Dexter the best experience for me with him in pet store.. he's not itchin or lickin any more. I see the relief in his eyes not even 5mins after applying the hot spot aid foam. 🐕

Great customer service!! Limited selection but they can order what you want. My dog needs grain free food and they're able to order it cheaper than I would get it online.
