Riley is always so excited for his days at Firefly. He grabs his leash and prances around when he knows he's going there. He plays, swims, takes walkies . . .he's exhausted when he gets home. Julie and her crew are excellent and love all their charges. The place is spotless. I can't say enough! 4 years and counting!!!!

Julie & her staff are amazing!! They truly care about the dogs & treat them with all the love & care they would their own. The facility is awesome! It's clean & secure & the dogs have a blast. Firefly is my dog's home away from home & he feels as comfortable there as he does at home. Trusting someone to care for your pet can be difficult but I never worry about my pup when he is there. If you're considering a daycare for your pet while you're at work or just so he/she can socialize with other animals or if you need a kennel while you're away, I HIGHLY recommend Firefly!!

We searched far and wide for a place to board Cooper (our 4 year old springer mix) but our search is over. Cooper is a bit anxious and often won’t eat when we’re away. But Julie and her staff hand-fed him the first couple days and now he feels completely comfortable at Firefly. Julie and her team are incredible! My dog has been going to firefly since the day they opened and it's been a fantastic experience. We utilize the daycare every week and have also boarded during vacations. The staff is well trained in dog behavior and the facility both indoors and out is incredible. I'd highly recommend Firefly Kennel!

Oakley is a 10 month old puppy living his best days at Firefly Kennels! When I drop him off I know that he will get the best care! I know Julie and her staff interact with all dogs throughout the day! Sometime I get a picture During the day and I love that! I can’t say enough about Firefly they are top notch kennel that care about your animal. If Oakley could talk he’d say I love Julie and The girls lol ❤️🐾🐶 and so do IOakley is now three years old and still goes to Firefly Kennel. I can’t say enough about this Kennel! recently I need to find a kennel for Labor Day and Columbus weekends due to fire flies, short staffing issues and in searching for other kennels and visiting other kennels in the Bangor area, I have come to realize that fire fly is one of the best out there Julie’s kennels by far the cleanest, well-maintained, top-notch facility in the great a Bangor area. When you go into her kennel, it doesn’t smell like dogs It just smells clean literally you can eat off of her floor. I swear Oakley lives his best life at fire fly. He gets his walks. He gets one on one attention he gets love and care just like he would at home I highly recommend fire fly!

Nestled in the hills of Dixmont, Firefly Kennel is a haven for our dog. She receives love and care in this beautiful clean and secure facility. Julie and her staff are kind and knowledgeable. This "doggie daycare" is well worth the extra 10 min. drive. Your dog will love it and so will you!

This place has been great for our pups. We’ve sent them to daycare twice a week for two years and we have used the boarding services a few times a year. Everyone is always kind and helpful. They are flexible and able to accommodate our changing needs.

I started bringing my 6 month old puppy to Firefly Kennel due to its location being close to my workplace. 8 month later, I am so glad that my yellow lab has been welcomed with open arms into the Firefly Kennel family!Tig has an amazing time at Firefly every day that he goes. Between playing with all of his friends in the fenced in area yards, to going for off leash walks and jumping in the pond for a nice swim, he always comes home tired and happy.Julie, Ambur, and Carrie-Ruth are easy to communicate with and are very nice. They will tell me how Tig did at pick up and inform me of any important information from that day.I am so glad I bring my pup to Firefly Kennel!

I left my lab with Julie and her team for what I expected to be a two week stay that turned into a six week staycation. The kennel is first rate and Mack was happy and in great shape. They did a great job and I will use them in the future

Our puppy was very shy and scared of anyone outside the family. We first started coming to get her comfortable before a vacation trip. It took some time and everyone was great with her. We still bring her here so she gets her play day and she loves it. She is so comfortable and happy to be around other dogs and the staff.

What an incredible facility. Riley can't wait to get in there and start playing with all of his mates. Julie is so knowledgable. I'm taking some obedience lessons from Julie with Riley and I've added the an extra giving Riley a walk on that beautiful land out back. Riley is all tuckered out after doggie day care. I am very comfortable leaving my pup at Firefly.

professionally run business, but incredibly biased based on "aggressive" breed standards. Nothing says "I don't like your dog" quite like saying "Just because they're mixed(pit bull/black lab) doesn't mean they won't be a nuisance".... Proceeds to isolate my dog from the rest of the kennel from day one. I would give half a star based on cleanliness if i could.
