I strongly recommend working with Maine Street Auto if you're looking to buy a used car. My partner and I bought a car from Matt in February after finding the listing online. He was super transparent throughout the entire experience: he honestly described the condition of the vehicle during our first phone call, he was happy to jack up the vehicle for us to inspect the frame, drivetrain, and running gear and also let us check the engine fluids and transmission during the test drive. I found that he priced our vehicle very fairly based on its (honestly pretty good) condition and the market and he was very upfront about his buying process.The warranty included with the vehicle purchase was generous and comprehensive, and Matt was extremely flexible with us when it came to needing some minor work on the car (I want to note that this work was not overlooked by Matt's shop--this was an issue that could not be addressed preventatively and was not essential to the operation of the vehicle).Overall, Matt at Maine Street Auto was extremely pleasant to work with and he sold us a quality vehicle. If had to buy another used. car in New England (I sure hope I don't ;)) Maine Street Auto would be my first stop.

I have nothing but great things to say about Maine Street Auto. After unfortunately totaling my vehicle, I was left with a limited time frame to find a new car. After seeing a car at Maine Street Auto that I was interested in, my father and I went to check it out. From the second we arrived, Matt was present, but not pressuring. After checking out the vehicle and test driving it, we were almost positive it was the perfect car for me. However, we needed a little more time to get everything sorted out. Matt had no hesitations of taking the vehicle off the market (without a deposit) under good faith we would be back. He and the company 100% represent the small Maine community feeling of taking care of each other. I had one issue with my trunk getting slightly jammed at times and within two minutes of calling, he had a part ordered and was ready to fix it. This car has been exactly what I wanted and more, and I know I can always trust Matt and his company to assist me if anything does go awry.

We made the drive all the way from Worcester today, and it was so worth it! We had a great experience buying a used car here. There was absolutely no pressure, and Mark was so accommodating. We were even able to bring our dog inside to help us with the shopping process! I would absolutely shop here again; I also appreciated the warranty they offered, as it helped me buy with more confidence.

I have not purchased an automobile from this dealer which is precisely why I am writing this review. I approached Matt via FB Marketplace about making a trade with him for a vehicle he had in stock. He was completely willing to meet me where I was at with my offer. However, after going back and forth a bit about the car I was talking about trading in we came to the conclusion together that it was in MY best interest to keep my current car. I have never experienced anything like it! He also spoke to me with respect and compassion, which is a really big deal as a female looking at vehicles. I have been sharing his name with people in the market for a new-to-them vehicle ever since. Highly recommend.

I am so impressed by Maine Street Auto and the care they took of me in the car buying process. After a hit and run accident left me in need of purchasing a car unexpectedly, I was not looking forward to used car shopping in this market. Admittedly, I dislike shopping in general, but especially for big ticket purchases. Matt was so patient in answering all of my questions and helped me to make a decision I could feel confident in without feeling rushed or pressured. My son just bought a 2015 Subaru Impreza from here yesterday within 4 hours this car overheated, something popped and smoke came rolling out of the hood. That was after driving the car 20 miles parking it to eat then 30 miles parking it for about 30 min and then driving another 10 after that. So after a total of 60 miles it blew up. The radiator hose was rotted and so that took a call to his dad to come help him on the side of the road and a trip to an auto store at 7 pm. Then it still kept over heating while he tried to drive it home. He had to keep pulling over to let it cool down. Today is Sunday and the place it closed, but this car is going back. It wasn’t even detailed when he got it and the tank of gas was about 3/4 full. My son got scammed big time. Matt needs to take this car back and my son will take his loan approval to an actual reputable location. Matt has children too. I am sure he wouldn’t want his kid on the side of the road at night because his new car is broken.

This was my first time buying a car with financing and I really felt that Mark exceeded my expectations. He was able to walk me through everything that was needed, he answered all of my questions, and I never felt rushed or pressured. My dad needed to co-sign for me, but he lives in Vermont. Mark needed a physical signature, so he offered to drive the paperwork to him over 3 hours away for free so that I didn’t have to wait for snail mail to be able to take the car home. If that isn’t excellent service, I don’t know what is. Plus, I LOVE the car! Thanks!

The most positive car buying experience I’ve had! Mark and Matt are friendly, reliable and went above and beyond to help. Living in Portland, it’s not always easy to commute in the middle of a work day. Love where we live! Had a wonderful, heart-warming, small-town experience today at Maine Street Auto. Called in to see if I could make an appointment for my leaky tire and Matt had me come right in (baby and pup in tow!)… he greeted us with a big smile, then immediately spread out some cardboard on the rain-soaked pavement, laid down on the ground himself, and got to work removing the nail that had been causing the leak. Sent me on my way in just a few minutes, feeling so much safer! No wonder at least three cars driving by beeped and waved hello in the short time we were there! We will definitely be using these guys for all our vehicle needs!
