I hated to go into this store, carts with inventory in every isle, you could not even walk through the isles, things so dis organize. It was a mess! Yesterday I stopped and was absolutely amazed as to how clean and organize it was, I could walk down ever isle and things were very nicely placed on shelves. I asked if there was new management because whatever has changed has made the store a much more pleasant place to shop. Keep up the good work. I will be back!

I understand some of the people on the reviews talking about the employees and the store not keeping a lot of things in stock. Let me put things into perspective for those customers. We are in CLINTON Maine. VERY small town so to stock the store to the extent of Augusta is comparably inaccurate. It would be a huge waste of money as very few people shop at this Dollar General. I have never had a negative experience with any of the cashiers. They are not required to smile 24/7 and they may not be, due to some of the customers that walk into the store. I’ve seen my fair share of rudeCustomers inside the store. Treat others as you wish to be treated, yes even cashiers. They are just as important as you think you are. I am always friendly with them therefore they are always friendly to me. No, I am not an employee. I am simply a person who feels that everyone can be kind.

Its convenient and the workers are helpful and friendly. I stop here often to grab the lil things that are needed without having to go all the way too Waterville!!!! Saves gas and time. Very convenient and I was surprised to find that the clothing they sell is fairly priced and actually holds up pretty well over time. The colors don't fade out like you would expect from a dollar store and the Jean's and sweats look like day 1 after almost 4 months of wear and wash.Definitely impressed!!!!!!!

This store is DISASTER. Every single isle had stock carts. And the display cases in the isles were falling over and looked like a place to just dump random stuff. Its very hard to get down any isles and forget trying to use a shopping cart in this store. With everything in the isles you can't shop for stuff on the shelves. The employees are not very perfessional. They stand outside the front door smoking cigarettes. They are never really doing anything to clean up the store and I had to chase someone down just to check out. I will not be shopping here anymore and no one else should either.

Walked out because line was so long. Had 4 working today but because they were to busy talking to there friends no one would come help cash out customers. They let people just leave the line to go out to there cars while there is over 10 people waiting. Poor customer service... Poor management....Won't be back

Greatgreat place to get cigarettes and the quick in and out for milk and other items that you might need but you don't want to go into a grocery store. I was quite surprised that they actually have some nice clothes and plus size as well in the store. Theyhave any free things from shampoo to razors to food and something to grab for a snack. It's nice to have a store that isn't the Dollar tree with all the same boring stuff. I definitely recommend this place it's something on the run that you need. Are there bathrooms are always very clean and that actually keep them locked up which is actually nice to use a bathroom that you can feel I think it's safe to go into.they have a lot of makeup and other hygiene products that you wouldn't find in stores the size anywhere else. In the summer they have great selection of items that you would need to have fun for your summer like for example pool noodles kids toysq and even bathing suits.I've never had any issues with the people working there is it always been polite and they helpful. The people do seem to work really hard that work there. Because really good deals on cigarettes. Always have sales and clearance items to check out as well. you never know what you're going to find in here and it's kind of fun to go in and just see what you can find.what time I went in there having trouble selling alcohol I don't drink so it really bother me. I think so we're going to fix it really soon I'm not sure if they're waiting for a license I guess. that's a great place to get a quick birthday present that probably nobody else is going to grab.. I once went to a Dollar general in Kentucky in the cigarettes for less than $4 is a great deal.

This store needs management. Stock carts empty and full in every asile. Place looked like a tornado went through it. Two employees were standing around talking, not working. Worst Dollar General ever been in. Cashier has major attitude.

Staff always seems inconvenienced by the customers. In today's case, cashier was too busy having a family get-together and playing with a small infant to deal with the line of customers as it built up. At least one customer dropped his stuff in an end cap and walked out. I will NOT be returning. Shopped there 3 times and every time it felt the same way. Today was completely egregious though. In my day, employees were replaced for such irreverence towards customer service.

I love the fact there’s a “DoughGe” (Dollar General, I usually take the first 2 letters of a name and the first 2 letters of the last name and come up with a nick name) in Clinton. Perfect store for a small town. Has just about everything you need in a pinch, and then some. I recommend checking this store out for the beer and cigarette prices. Also does propane tank swaps!

Love 'Dollar General'...well stocked, great prices...always purchase kitchen, cleaning, bathroom items here.. why bother with any other place?...best selection....cost far below Grocery Stores and Big Box places. Purchase eye glasses...even food...seems all are managed well...glad this one here near church in Clinton (CBC) and one in Litchfield Maine. Open until 10pm...how much better can it get? JeffP Maine. :)

RUDE RUDE RUDE is the only thing I can say about the "manager" at this location. She constantly complains about her job to customers, mumbles under her breath and is very disrespectful to the other employees. Also refuses to take cash as payment!

I love the Dollar general because it does have some things different than the family Dollar store or the Dollar tree but some of the people that work there aren't they friendly or helpful I still smile though maybe it will help them
