Had two very different experiences here. During the first visit the staff member was not friendly at all and acted like we were inconveniencing her by asking for assistance. I was trying to buy a cooler and the staff member acted like it was my fault that it wouldn’t fit through the plexiglass partition. The staff member then complained about us being in the store to someone that called . My second experience was great. The staff was very friendly and super helpful and even gave us a great recommendation for lunch.

Overall very friendly, selection is ok. There pizza they bake on site is good quality my only gripe is look them up on Google and the store hours say there open till 9pm on Fridays but I get there a 8:50pm its raining hard, lights are off and the only reason I went out is for my pregnant wife and now she's mad at me when I get back. I'm guessing they close at 8pm now but the hours haven't been updated online

Don't order the pizza. Crust won't even be cooked all the way. Also, whisky is very overpriced. Staff can be nice though.*Edit*Good response from the owner, and my mistake being unaware of Maine's Liquor Control Commission. Oregon does that, too, which I've always thought stifles economic growth somewhat. Bumped my rating.

Love this local grocer. It's in the center of Castine and has a little of everything. The best part about the store is the people. They are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. T & C brings you back to how to grocery stores should be. Thanks T & C

perfect place to get commonly needed items such as, snacks and drinks. They offer some regular food on the shelves as it is a popular place with the local college kids. They also sell food that is made there. It is a little pricey as it is the only convenient store on the Castine neck.

Our son is a student at Maine Maritime Academy and what a great place T&C is for the students! Our whole family has come to love it there and the wonderful staff goes above and beyond! Thanks T&C!!

Turning off the oven 1 hour and 15 minutes before close? Never once in my life have i seen such lackadaisical service out of an establishment that "prides" itself on satisfaction. If this mediocre at best store was located anywhere else in maine it would have been forclosed. this is mostly due to the employees who neglect the basic principals of a resturaunt such as hygiene, cleanliness and even just the smallest amount of effort. if you you decide to spend any time in castine, be sure to stop at hannahford in bucksport on your way in or you may as well just go hungry.

Can be expensive but it's literally the only place in Castine to pick up grocery items in a pinch, so it's pretty reliable. Only place to get gas in Castine too.
