UPDATE 2023 - this poorly managed business moved out of our Raymond community in fall 2021 and at this time Shannon the unstable owner of Hello Doggie is now on her 3rd location in the past 2 yrs. Her current Naples/Casco location is already engaged with massive drama over town codes! Hello Doggie business is very questionable to say the least SO if you decide to give them a try, proceed with extreme caution!SIDE NOTE - The original location of Hello Doggie on Roosevelt Trail, Raymond ME (next to the kayak is NOW HOME TO A NEW very very clean professionally managed facility with full services including grooming, day care, and boarding called FUREVER FRIENDZ owner Tracy Campbell who NO business ties to Hello Doggie or Shannon O.FOLLOW-UP @ HELLO DOGGIE DAYCARE in ME! After the insane levels of drama, the owner's bizarre dishonest behavior, and her refusal to refund $250 of advance payments for services never rendered, we sent a Demand Letter allowing opportunity to *do the right thing. Her response was 6 pg signed letter of more ranting, threats, and lies; all easily proven untrue by indisputable official records. To the employees - Honesty and ethics matter 110% of the time. To the owner's friends & family who *report* negative reviews trying to stop truth & then post platitudes about dogs liking to play together - Sadly you are enabling the negative rages to continue along with increasing potential for serious harm! PS - This is not about the money but about truth exposing the wrongs & harmful business practices in our community.*ORIGINAL POST* ATTENTION HEARING IMPAIRED - OWNER DISHONEST & HAS ISSUES WITH YOU! Facility is often unclean with extreme health risk to the dogs (kennel cough etc) and understaffed due to chronic high employee turnover. Obvious result is a very poorly run business. After a particularly troublesome experience with staff asking repeatedly for payment because they could not find our advance payment on their books, owner Shannon came running up to the counter shrieking and raging ... .I AM THE OWNER repeatedly and making rude comments because I could NOT clearly hear her employees talking from the other side of the room (I AM HEARING IMPAIRED and had announced that up front to all so we could communicate properly). Shannon's unstable behavior was shocking. I have never seen anyone at any type of business behave so unhinged - It was totally bizarre! I repeatedly asked her to STOP and just look at the payment receipt in my hand but she kept raging. This was the first time I met Shannon - Her previous staff were ALL courteous and behaved normally. I had enough - She found proof of payment on her books and I *immediately asked for a refund*. *She replied she would issue a refund*. To be blunt, we expected the full refund and seriously did not want our dog in her care again. Well the refund was never issued! We called to find out if the credit was still on their books, we were told there would be no refund because we did not bring our dog for visits & refund had lapsed?!?!?! [We did not bring our dog in because 1) We asked for REFUND on 6/9/21 & owner agreed to refund 2) Unable to follow-up immediately - out of town funeral for my father 3) Upon return to town the facility sent out notices of kennel cough infections! ] During that follow-up call, my husband had to ask repeatedly to speak to directly to Shannon, who was refusing to come to the phone. When she did finally come to the phone, she admitted there were 10 paid days on the books, was nice and apologized. Said she wanted to build a *better working relationship*, and asked my husband to stop by. He stopped by to discuss a proposed resolution & to get Emmi into the excellent dog groomer next door. Surprise - Shannon told him that he owed MORE money & order him out of her business. VERY alarming! One star required to post but honestly - facility and owner get a ZERO. Photos: Emmi & Molli

Shannon is an amazing human who loves the animals she cares for more than the humans we call friends. You'd be well served to have Hello Doggie care for your fur babies.

Shannon is a wonderful person who took wonderful care of my dog. We had to switch daycares simply because we needed longer office hours. It's a real shame that other local business owners (who also own a doggie daycare) are trying so hard to get her shut down, harass her, make her pay fines, etc... I hope this business is able to stay open. I hope the community reads this and supports her.

100/10 would I recommend Hello, Doggie!! This place is INCREDIBLE. Shannon and her entire team of staff are friendly, kind, and always accommodating. Our dog knows which days of the week he goes to daycare, and you can tell as soon as he wakes up in the morning! His excitement is unmatched as he waits patiently by the front door. The facility is clean, the outside play area has plenty of space and things to do, and the best part is.. we know when our dog is there that all of the staff treat him like their own! If you’re looking for a place to trust with your fur children - this is the place! I am so glad we found Hello, Doggie!!

Staff are kind and welcoming! They keep me informed about how my pup is interacting with others as she learns and grows. My puppy absolutely loves coming here and hanging out with her friends and she returns home happy and tired.

We were recommended to Shannon to care for my Bernese as a last minute resort for an important family trip and she was absolutely amazing...words cannot express how grateful and very blessed we were to have chosen Hello Doggie Daycare. Our pup needed some medical attention that had gone over seen and she IMMEDIATELY noticed it, took care of her medical bills and kept us posted of her well-being so as to not worry during our trip. She was attentive to all her needs and when we returned my pup was healing and healthy and happy. Shannon was truly wonderful and I would recommend her services in a heartbeat! Thank you Hello Doggie Daycare for being so supportive and so much more to our family!

My dog is a very nervous dog and so it’s always been a challenge to find a quality place for her to stay when we go away. She has been so depressed when we leave that she will stop eating and drinking. I tried out an audition and daycare and she did really well. Then an overnight. She ate 3/4 of her meals! I think it just took the right people and place to make her feel she was safe. And communication has been wonderful. It is clear Shannon is great at what she does.

My Ella absolutely loved attending Hello Doggie Daycare. In fact she looked forward to going. Back in November 2021 when we found out that the Raymond location had to close, the owners asked their clients to, in good faith, pay for packages in advance so they could keep their business running. I immediately paid for a $250 package upfront hoping for our Ella to return. Unfortunately circumstances beyond our control made it so that we could not take Ella back to daycare. We fully intended to, we sent emails back-and-forth asking for what we needed to send her back, because we absolutely loved this daycare. When we realized that we could not send her back I respectfully asked for a refund. I understand they have a refund policy, and I understand they have a business to run, however I was really hoping that they would see to refund our money. They did not because emails we had sent saying we did intend to send her back was the reason we would not get a refund as they were confused. I understand, I really do, but I really hoped for a different outcome as situations beyond our control can change. My advice would be to anyone in any situation, for any business, do not pay for anything upfront. I truly wish this business to be successful but because of my latest experience I’m only giving him a three star rating, and wish them all the best.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Picked up my dog on Friday, had asked them to do a nail trimming. They almost cut one nail off And there was blood everywhere on his paw. No explanation was given. My dog was acting funny and fell asleep for 10 hours after I picked him up. When we arrived back at my house, he had a pronounced limp. Only then did I notice that there were two deep puncture wounds on his leg. After an emergency vet visit, We found that he had been bitten by another dog, with a messed up knee. Upon calling this daycare, was not refunded for the remaining 3 days I have, and the owner was mentally unstable and argumentative. She claimed there was a no refund policy, despite how there was nothing listed or that I signed that stated this. Everything you read about this place is true. Do not send your dogs here.

My pup has been going here since he was 3 months old (now 1 year old). Have never had any problems, much prefer this model of uncaged playtime to being confiscated in kennels and kennel runs. He is worn out each day he comes home and happy to get out of the truck to go there also. Shannon and her staff do a great job Boarding is offered as well.

Hello Doggie! is a wonderful place to bring your dogs! I have three dogs, two are rescues, and the staff is amazing. Shannon really understands dogs and has helped our family with some problem behaviors. My rescue dogs both hate men, but they love Chris! Honestly, seeing my dogs so happy makes working during the day SO much easier. Thanks Hello, Doggie!! Keep up the awesome work!!

I got my first dog a few weeks ago and knew I wanted to bring her to doggie daycare, and heard great things about Hello Doggie. I get sent videos and photos all the time from the owner, Shannon Oliver, of my happy little puppy playing with her new friends! The trainer there, Chris, has helped me with a lot of her behavioral issues and watching her develop is amazing. I truly recommend this as a place to bring your favorite four-legged pals!

Shannon and team have been amazing with my 3 dogs for years. They love going to daycare and are wiped out for the evening after I pick them up. We trust them for boarding and the dogs enjoy their time so much that they wait by the door each morning when I get ready for work in hopes that it’s a daycare day!

The staff is amazing and friendly!! They put in the effort to help my dog become less shy and nervous around other dogs. They let my dog do things at her own pace and made her feel safe. I would definitely recommend Hello Doggie Daycare!

Hands down best doggie daycare in the area. My pup had some extra energy issues that caused her to not be able to relax at home. We took her to see Shannon (who I've known for many years) and my pup loved daycare. She has ample to play and burn energy but also has activities to work her super strong mind. I am beyond impressed by this doggie daycare and would recommend it to others. Also, the 3 negative reviews are 100% fake. I know Shannon and the love and passion she has for caring for animals is something amazing.

Shannon. Not sure why anyone would continue to respond to a certain disgruntled client. Life is too short and your business much to too successful to waste your time with her.To all of you folks out there listening. Hello Doggie has been watching (both boarding and daycare) my 5 year old lab since he was a puppy. They have always taken the best care of him. He goes nuts with excitement every time I turn into the lot. Thanks to Shannon and her staff for all you do for the mutts in your care.Jack McGintee

Hello Doggie Daycare is awesome! Our dog Jovie has blossomed since she's been there. She absolutely loves being there and the staff there is fantastic. The care the dogs get there is first rate and any dog would benefit from the experience. Very impressive!

Great daycare and a probably the most affordable around the area. Please ignore the bad reviews accusing Shannon of abuse. These are being done by the same person who was terminated by the business. Our dog is extremely sensitive and you cannot even raise your voice around him without him being submissive and he is never more excited than when I drop him off here. Best daycare I've ever brought my dogs to.

EDIT: 11 Aug.The refund check given us on 4 Aug BOUNCED!!(Called it)Had to go back today and give them a chance to rectify before escalation was put in motion. I was written another check (that sure made me feel confident) and promptly went to HER local bank to cash. This check cleared, though judging by the teller’s face, it was a near thing. Ms Shannon could not be bothered as she was the only one taking care of at least 15 dogs judging by the collars and leashes hanging on the wall. Can’t even imagine how well those sweet pups are being taken care of.I did have the opportunity to talk with a young man headed into the daycare to pick up his dog. All appropriate warnings were given. He’s now aware that something amiss and will likely be another “former client” soon. The sheer, bald-faced discrimination the owner practices is just mind blowing to me, ESPECIALLY this day in age. SMH——————————If you’re looking for serious crazy, you’ve found the place!!3 years a client. The boys have fun…mostly. Sure, there are vet visits to take care of some nasty strain of kennel cough, but that only happened once. To both dogs. We were fortunate, and only had a two week recovery for the boys. Others have had much closer calls with their pets getting sick after play dates. The place wreaks of dog. I know…a kennel. I just got used to the idea of washing the boys down after their visits as they only went once a week. They’ve had their share of cuts and bites. Nothing they couldn’t handle; but it has happened at least 3 times. Thankfully they don’t run a grooming venture any longer…that was a very bad idea and seriously, it looked like a 3 year old got a hold of some clippers and had fun.All in all, what I would consider a “normal” boarding experience. And that leads us to the true crazy— I walked in to pick up my boys and was almost immediately reprimanded for “working in a dispensary”….not today, mind you….but 2 weeks ago!I do not work in a dispensary, but this is how the conversation started upon my arrival. Needless to say, I was a little taken back and had to straight face collect myself from busting out laughing.Oh, but they were serious. They have “7 or 8 clients that work dispensaries” and evidently, the horrid smell in their lobby (of extremely wet dog mixed with vomit and rancid food) is apparently being blamed on those in the Cannabis industry….or in this case, me.Beware to all you smokers out there….Shannon is on the prowl and will in no way tolerate anybody smelling like anything that isn’t wet dog. She’ll yell it….loud and proud. All inclusive discrimination is what Hello Doggie is about. No facts. No questions. Just assumptions….and completely biased discrimination. We got the refund for the multi day package we purchase, and the check didn’t even bounce! Hello Doggie gets some honest, straightforward reviews.Stay away.

One been bringing my shepherd here for years. Hes so excited to go there that he starts barking 1/2 mile away and gets out of the car before me. When I fostered my Bernese mountain dog she didnt even charge me for her visits. When I decided to keep her I still bring her twice a week and she loves it. Coming from an abused dog that means something . Shannon runs a tight ship and I wouldn't have it any other way cause she puts our fur babies 1st

A great place for any dog to play! Shannon really cares for the dogs, and the clients too. My three dogs absolutely love it there and I always feel better knowing that they’ll be at a place with friendly and competent people looking after them.

Haven't posted since I rescued two more pups. My three "children" come to daycare quite frequently, especially with the new chauffeur service! My pups get picked up in the morning as it's too difficult for us to do with our schedules. Love the photos and knowing that my kiddos are tired after a good day of doggie play!

Our two dogs, Niko and Teague, love going to daycare! The whole crew is amazing and take such good care of our pups... Niko can be more shy and awkward and Teague is outgoing and sassy- It’s great to know that they work with their individual personalities and they both get to make friends and love their time there. Thank you Shannon, Chris, Jen, Deanna and the rest of the Hello, Doggie Crew!

Shannon Oliver runs this business with an extremely high standard of care. She is quick to correct the errors of her employees when their behavior puts the dogs at risk or sabotages their behavioral management. She truly shoulders the entire burden of the business at huge personal sacrifice and puts her dogs, the dogs of her clients, and her employees before herself. Exclusively.

I have witnessed abuse of dogs as well. I have heard Shannon say that she HATES ceartin types of dogs, especially labs. She is really rough when moving dogs around. Pulls their leads and pulls their feet off the ground while screaming at the dog. I have seen her hand a poor scared pup named Otis and hit him w a director's chair. Continued hitting him until he stopped crying. I have seen her dog be comanded to "get" another dog that ends up in a fight that she started. There are fights almost daily, so many dogs have gone to the vets for stitches and staples. Due to her conduct and her dogs. Please, I know she puts on a good show, but this is a really bad place.

Make sure your dog can't climb walls because mine went over their wall, got into the swamp and really stunk. This was during the assessment. Thankfully, they got the dog back. I do think they should have bathed him before giving it back to me. So if your dog can jump and climb, this isn't the right place.
