Quintessential New England corner store. The type we need more of in this country. Super cute old-fashioned vibe. Well stocked with canned goods, staples, wine, beer, meat and produce as well as prepared salads and sandwiches and oddly enough, Blue Seal chicken feed! Well worth stopping by if you're in the area. Clean and well-organized. Exceedingly friendly staff is just icing on the cake.

What a wonderful surprise find. As a traveling salesman I am always looking for a great place to get a good lunch while on the road.I have made this 1 of my weekly stops. Whether it's a fresh hand made sandwich, or a very interesting grilled chicken/ pepperoni calzone... The calzone had very little grease, a little over $10.00Check out their menu and place an order ahead... then enjoy.Very happy with this gem of a store.

What an amazing family owned business!! Great meat, deli & pizza! I look forward to going in and seeing both of the owners always there helping their staff and putting a smile on every customers face! They also do a lot of for the community & helping others out! Very much a great place to shop. The store is inviting, clean and the food being prepared smells and looks great. I was in to tag a few deer and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this business, make it your go to place.

Best all around store in the area . Carmel is lucky to have this store in our village. It's the one where your always greated with a smile and excellent service. From top notch take out, prime cuts of meat from the deli counter, grocery items and ice cold beer cave, this store has it all. They can even tag your deer. Also as a resident of Carmel I am grateful for all that they contribute to the building of our community, I especially like the youth hunters rifle giveaway. You can feel good about spending you money at this local business and that's what I like best.

I've only been here two times and it is amazing! The people are super friendly and the homemade food is top notch in my book! I'm so glad that they are open. I'm excited to try everything they offer. The meat counter looks great and there is a large selection of many different types of things to pick from.

Bad customer service,they have a employee who was trying to hurry other customers up and when customers ask questions the employee said the menu is over there,gives attitude ,never had a problem untill now with this employee complained that she has to take orders,cash people out,take phone calls when we told her to go do that We were in no rush she came back over a second time she wanted us to hurry up when I asked a question . Some of your employees need to work on there customer service better and be a little more polite ,I will not ever go to this place because of your employee being rude. She looked overwhelmed because she had to cash people out,take orders,answer phone calls etc.i don't think she can handle her job especially if a customer needs to ask questions about food

I am retracting a review I previously wrote that was negative. I want to first apologize as in my previous review I had gotten some names of people mixed up in it. I have spoken with the owners and really feel they are very sincere and welcoming. I have also had a very different experience there since I had written my previous review a few months ago. Definitely recommend checking out their great food and baked goods!

This place is great. The pizza they make is out of this world all fresh ingredients. You can tell everything they make and sell prepackaged is fresh as well. The owners are very friendly. They also sell a fine selection of meat as well. And don't forget to try the chocolate chip cookies 😉

I will never complain about having to wait for good food. The wait wasn't as long as I thought it might be for 3 large pizzas. A friendly hello and a smile when I entered the store as the clerk helped another patron. The market was all I expected and more. I dont know the owners, but they made me feel like I had known them for years. The cook reassured me that my order was cooking and would be done shortly. It wasn't necessary for the update, I considered it "above and beyond" customer service. THEN, when my order was ready and I needing a third hand to carry my purchases. They offered and carried the pizzas to my car. I wish I lived nearby, but everytime I'm in town I'll be spending money at this market. The Village Market is worth driving out of your way for. Thank you for the great experience!

Tried the Carmel tips this weekend. Loved the marinade. They had great flavor without overwhelming the meat's flavor​. A great accent to high-quality beef. Picked up some interesting beer and hard cider while there The market also has pizza, sandwiches and a full selection of local meats. This is a great addition to the town of Carmel.

Wow! First and foremost, the renovations are gorgeous! We ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza (oh my word! So delicious!) a cheese pizza, breadsticks and a steak sub.. all delicious! We will definitely be back for more!

Underwhelming: particularly after the big social media build-up and the ravings by locals - who mostly seem to be friends of the owners. However, during my visit, I found the staff somewhat condescending (perhaps because I wasn't known to them) and the much-vaunted meat counter quite underwhelming (and FAR too fatty for the high prices being charged). It's also not really a market in that it doesn't stock those items you might need (fruits/produce/etc) without making a trip to Newport or Hermon.

This is a revival of a store that died. Both of the owners did a wonderful job of restoring it. Also very very friendly atmosphere. Food is amazing. I would live there if I could!

I seen some guy in the kitchen eating a sandwich where he was trying to make my food he did not wash his hands and I did see him put his hands to his mouth and nose and then tried to make more food that he was serving two other customers I don't know of anybody knows this but that's kind of gross not to mention he thinks he knows I see the owner only replies to people that have a 5-star ratingas look down through the last reviews and I seen the only time the owner replies is when it's a good he does not reply when it is a bad thing nor does he try to contact you to see what he could do what a great owener and by the way its not that hard to get such a good rating with only 88 people doing it
