I am a late afternoon person and when I go in store let's say ten minutes before closing there's always a worker saying "you know we're getting ready to close right?" "And that means we would need to ring you up before closing time." Then the worker would keep telling me the time like I was someone that couldn't tell time or something. I find it very rude.

dollar general is a great convenient amenity for this small town when the shelves are stocked and you can walk through the store without squeezing through tight messy isles and roll carts full of stock

Says there open till 10pm but yet there is a sign on the door all the time saying sorry we closed at 8pm but yet you can see people inside

Great experience!!I looked and looked for a small mirror for seeing a spot on the motor of my sled... Any who I could not find one anywhere. I even looked by the toothbrush section. Nothing....The clerk asked my if I was able to find everything I was looking for.I told her what I was looking for and she walked right back over to the toothbrush section and found just what I was looking for...Saved me a trip "25 minutes into Bangor"....

The Employees are always polite,have great customer service and respectful . I will say this is the best store in Carmel Maine. If you have a question or need to find something they are always there to try and help you. Y'all are great people and hard workers

I gave a 3 as the staff were very friendly and they do have quite a variety of product. I found the store very cluttered and recovery not done in probably a long time. They also seemed out of alot of products as shelves were empty.

Great place for affordable baby things like diapers and wipes, plus the sippy cups. I also get my dog and cat supplies here as well and the occasional you if my boys are good while Mom does the shipping

They say on their website that masks are required but that is a lie.My son was in last night and a man with his young son came into the store unmasked. When my son spoke to the manager about it she said “Oh, he comes in without one all the time.”My son asked her to to ask the man and his son to put masks on and she refused. My son proceeded to take a picture of the unmasked man at the checkout and said he would be reporting it to corporate on Monday.Instead of the manager doing the right thing, enforcing their own rule and State mandate, she had a Deputy serve my son, who was wearing a mask, served with a No Trespassing Order.So, the good guy gets punished and the one who breaks the rules gets to continue to shop there without wearing a mask.The lies and the hypocrisy of this store is unacceptable

My favorite not for a dollar store. Your Hampden Maine store is absolutely horrible! The manager is awful, the employees are worse. ( you seriously have one ,single employee that has customer service skills and she is amazing!) The store is always un-organized and looks like a 3 year old three a temper tantrum. You can't get help from the manager with out a snide , and rude remark being made by her to her co-worker. Hampden store needs to be closed or under new management.

I go there about once or twice a month,to get my pugs canned dog food,which is usually Purina mightyDog small cans.And they do pretty much keep that stocked up.

Clean, fast service, prganized stores. Its expwnsive for a dollar store but thats dollar general for you. I got a razor there that was cheaper than a similar one i got at walmart and it works way better! So I am 0retty pleased. Plus my cashier was nice.

This place has a lot of things you might need on short notice like grocery items (including some frozen foods) stuff for school projects, baby items, household goods, basic OTC medicines, clothing, snacks, electronic items, movies, decor etc.
