My new favorite go to place for any sporting equipment. The owner is super helpful, the selection is incredible, and there’s so much more to that store than you think because they use the basement too. First stop for any sporting equipment needs.

I spent $500 at this shop yesterday. Over $200 was devoted to used xc skiing gear for myself. This morning (Sunday Jan 7) I tried for over two hours to get the boots and the skis to cooperate. I’m a beginner. I called twice to get advice but the owner was somewhat short with me. He also has zero experience with xc gear, according to him ( a little more education about products sold in your shop is recommended). He did tell me that he would try to help me if I came in today, but after that, I was on my own. Today there is a blizzard, but he wouldn’t take into consideration that I live 40 minutes away and that the trip is dangerous. Effectively, he told me that if there’s a problem with the gear, it’s on me. And that everything is consigned, and so he doesn’t do returns or exchanges.I explained to him that I too am a business owner and regularly deal with consignments. And that the buck stops with me, as I don’t sell items that have not been vetted. Further, on a $130 item, (assuming that between 4pm last night and this morning that he had already paid the owner of the skis, which I very highly doubt) his payout has to be somewhere between %50 and %75 of the total. Not a huge hit for a busy business. When I suggested that he exchange the skis and simply re-sell the ones I wanted to return, he actually said approximately the following: “How am I supposed to sell something that doesn’t work”.I told him I was able to get the NNN bindings to clip, but at extreme efforts, with great difficulty, and that they would pop out just as fast. His response was approximately “ what is it that you want?”, to which I answered “ to spend over $200 and walk out with working gear”. To which his response was “it’s on you to check the gear”. Amazing.He could have simply exchanged the skis for a pair that are worth the same (he has some). But he decided to be short, argumentative and unreasonable. At what cost, really? My cost is frustration, missed time out with my family, a spoiled day, and $130 down. I’m an individual. He is a business. I’m a business owner. I get what it takes to run one. It’s hard. Sometimes you bite the bullet.Take-away is -BUYER BEWARE. Prices are good, service seems good, but it’s a shallow business model and a rude and unreasonable owner, when things get real.I see most reviews here are good. I never post bad ones. I really liked him yesterday. Different person today. This is exceptional. I’m the first to admit I have a temper. I was patient with him for some time, and quite nice about things, but I was stone-walled, and at a certain point he was talking over me - so I raised my voice and told him to go $%&^ himself. If there’s one thing I can’t tollerate, it’s someone not allowing me to say what I must and talking over me. My bad for yelling and cursing though. This is my second regret - after the first of having bought anything here to begin with.Equipment unvetted and faulty. No support. No consideration for very dangerous road conditions. Petty attitude, penny pinching. I even told him I’d compensate him if I was wrong about the gear, for wasting his time. That went right over his head. Really bad business model. He doesn’t like to be told how to run his business, he said. That’s not what I was doing. I was telling him how I run mine.PS. at no point in the transaction was I ever told to check the gear or that there were no returns or exchanges. If I had been told these things, I would have left with working gear. Now I have broken gear. Seems obvious.. couldn't be clearer.

Justin is incredibly friendly and helpful! Great and affordable prices too. He went out of his way to open his store for us because an unexpected cold front came in on our trip and we were underprepared. Tess may also be the sweetest dog I have ever met!

Awesome little shop! Tons of gear for any kind of sport or activity with a wide price range to suit any budget. I bought a snowboard and bindings to get into the sport. The board was awesome but the bindings snapped on my first run. I contacted the owner and he took care of me with a BRAND NEW set of bindings. Super nice guy and will make sure you are happy with your purchase. I highly recommend anyone go check this place out. Stellar!

A much needed addition to our midcoast community. Top notch customer service, easy, and convenient! I am happy I have a way to make some extra money back from unused sports equipment, sneakers, and outdoor gear etc. Also a great place to look when I need something that I don’t want to buy brand new. This is going to be the first place I check for sporting goods from now on. There's a selection of used and new sporting goods from fishing to lacrosse to baseball and everythingin between. All interests. The way my kids outgrow things, I hate spending a fortune on stuff just to see them outgrow it or lose interest. This place is perfect for me.The owner is friendly, full of good advice, and proud of his business. I left with what I needed and didn't break the bank.

Very helpful shopkeeper, packed selection of skis, skates, and other gear. Unfortunately didn't have anything that fit me or my kids during my visit. Could probably use a bigger location as it was packed and yet didn't have enough.
