There are three grocery stores in this small town. IGA is the best because they search for good deals and pass them on to the consumer. No other grocery store does this the way IGA does. Their meat department is clean and they butcher fresh meat daily. Their produce department is organized and the food looks fresh. The deli has hot food and fresh made sandwiches that are grab and go. The staff is always eager to help you in any way, and the selection store-wide is just as good as their competitors if not more so due to their independent ownership.

This store has great deals very often. I've always loved shopping here as the staff are very friendly and kind. The exchange rate is fair on Canadian money as well. They also give you back Canadian change unlike Calais Walmart who really don't care to do business with Canadians. Hell they won't even except Canadian money. You can pay with credit or debit but the bank rates on your US purchase usually adds 40 percent to your purchase.

This store is perfect! Everyone is so helpful when you are trying to find something. In fact, they walk with you over to where it is!!! It may be a small store, but somehow they manage to have just about everything you need! The butcher is very accommodating for special cuts. Cold cuts are always fresh and cut to just how you like them! They have made me 2 very original birthday cakes. Icing is yummy, and the colors are out of this world!! People in the front and Managers (who you actually see OUT ON THE FLOOR) are very eager to please. Unlike the other grocery stores in Calais, you'll always come out of the store with a SMILE!!

Can't say enough about the caliber of the people at the Calais IGA. I called from the parking lot to check on the availability of a product and they knew they had it without having to go check. Then when I went into the store the manager (who took my call) came out of her office and took me directly to what I was looking for! Outstanding service!

Great prices, always have good deals. The only thing they could probably do better is update the selection of music that they play. I couldn't imagine being an employee listening to that for 8 hrs straight.The registers could use an update, but other than that, I've never had a bad experience at this store. All the employees have always been respectful and willing to help when needed.I do enjoy shopping here

Spent 45 min shopping to get to the register and have their system be down and not accepting card payments. Didn't even care to apologize sincerely, just shrugged their shoulders and had an it is what it is attitude. Had to leave my whole cart of groceries and walk out. What a waste of time and no real care from the employee or her manager, Shirley. I literally just started shopping here. What a poor experience. I didn't even have a chance to give them my business, but I will never ever even consider shopping here again.

This buisiness always presents as clean and well stocked. Staff members all offer assistance when they meet you and gladly go the extra mile to help you find what you are looking for. This store offers great prices and sales items to help save you money.

Calais IGA has an extremely helpful and friendly staff! They often have very good deals and sales. However, with Walmart in town it is not possible for them to compete on diversity of products and pricing on all goods. They have a good deli. Produce can be a bit pricey and sparse, but totally understandable given the competition. Easy, quick and pleasant shopping experience.

Weekly grocery shopping isn't complete without shopping at the Calais IGA. There is always affordable options in each department. I like to stock up when things come on sale that will keep well. The staff are friendly and very helpful everytime.

Quick and easy this morning, crew was busy stocking and cleaning, cutting and bagging, no line cause they had a steady pace and everyone was in a great mood we came across working. Also found a randomly good deal on some snacks for the kids so that was a win win.

I have patronised Bell's IGA for about 10 years, and they never let me down. They have gone to extraordinary lengths to obtain some special requests. The prices are the best anywhere. For Canadians, it is liking getting free food!

Usually has great deals on groceries, however, watch the best before dates. The yogurt & milk don't seem to get rotated properly as there have been times where I've seen expired dates. Just have to watch
