I’ve lived in Buxton ten years and this store has gotten consistently worse. To go orders especially! Always ending up with bad produce. This last time was my last straw. I spend a hefty amount of money each week on groceries at this store. This time will be my last. I received a rotisserie chicken, plastic bag swelled with air and filled with a pink substance. Just opened a steak for dinner to find it smells foul, is brown and slimy. Steak isn’t cheap! Not bothering with this store anymore.

The store is clean and well laid out and labeled. I was able to get everything I stopped in for and was happy with my experience.

I really enjoy shopping there. Their Staff are not only Helpful but Friendly. I've finally slowed down and started enjoying shopping. At the deli You get it the way You want it. The Same as the Seafood Counter. Just Yummy, So Much to choose from. Shhhhhh, don't go in hungry. Can't say enough Good things.

A few weeks ago I was surprised that the deli had completely been removed and replaced with floor to cieling coolers. All the meat is pre sliced. I'm sure it's a time saver for some but my family prefers having the meat sliced very thin which is next to impossible to find now. Also watching people paw through the meat selection is off-putting. Now we travel the extra time to standish because not having a decent deli is really disappointing. Really bummed to see this trend take over.

Great place to shop! Lots of stuff, I can find anything I need. Not super big so I can find things easily. This is a great store.

The new deli set up is terrible. I really hope they dont do this anywhere else and go back to cutting orders instead of the pre packaged coolers.

I locked my keys, phone and purse in my car at this store and had no way of contacting anyone for assistance. The manager and her co workers were very kind offering help in every way possible. Very grateful for their generosity.

6 to 8 deep in the 3 open checkout lanes; that stinks. I know-----self-checkout. Ayuh, when I get a discount for what I am already paying for, or when I get put on their 401(K) plan.Their latest: a 'take it or leave it deli' chock full of prepackaged meats and cheese, cut "daily".Another update: I did see one care in the "To Go" parking section. It was empty. They must have said the heck with it and just parked there and went in. Also, I checked online to see if they had Molson in that store. It showed online but there was none in the cases, nor were there any empty spaces in the coolers.Update: on every subsequent trip the most # of cars that I have seen in the "To Go" section of 6 spots, has been only one vehicle. All those empty spaces are empty, and thus us old geezers, too proud to get a Handicapped tag have to walk a significant distance while "TO Go" real estate lies vacant. I suggest that Hannaford managers and execs due what Sam Walton did. He used the MBWA approach "Management By Walking About' to see what was going on in their parking lot and what could be improved. Not the same place it used to be, but the only game in the immediate area,Exercise is good for you, but not so much fun in the rain. Oftentimes there are many empty handicapped spaces close to the store. One understands that as those spaces need to be available. After all, if we all live long enough we will be using them ourselves someday. However, I have yet to see more than 1 car in the 6 spaces provided for Hannaford To Go customers. I would think that in-store customers would get parking priority. After all, they are more apt to do impulse buying while in the store and spend more that the 'to go' types. Not sure that this was a good marketing decision.Furthermore, I am not covered under their 401(k) nor their executive compensation plan yet they expect me to ring up, and bag my own groceries and get no discount for doing so. Thus, we have to wait sometimes 4 carts deep in the one 'non-14 items or less' line that is open. yesterday, when we went again, there was only one regular line and one 14 or less line open and those waiting curled around the unopened lines while 2 (apparently supervisors) just watched and chatted. Suggestion: if you have to go to Hannaford, choose a better run one.Our last trip in, we noticed the sign for Hannaford Shank Portion Ham at 69 cents a pound. We went over to check it out. All the slots in the area of the sign were filled with different cuts of ham, all at more expensive prices. There were no empty slots. Perhaps it was just mislabeled or perhaps they were out of the cut that they featured in the weekly flier. Either way, I guess some unsuspecting folks walked out with a more expensive meal than they planned on.They are the only game in town in the area, but it is revealing what you can save if you are in the area of a Market Basket and do not have to make a special trip to go there and burn gas at today's inflated prices.Alas, the folks in Belgium, who run and control Hannaford are not unlike those in Spain that control our local electricity company that gets so much negative press. Gone are the days that Hannaford (Shop 'N Save) was run by Mainers. Sad.

This store is perfectly mediocre. The only real complaints I have about this Hannaford is that not all refrigerated aisles are together. There is one out of place beer aisle in the center of the store. The self checkout is always very crowded, I wish there were more self checkout areas. Other than that, it's what you'd expect from a Hannaford.

I had an issue at self checkout. I was quickly assisted by an older gentleman. He quickly figured out I was not able to cash out at self check. But, instead of assisting me, he pointed to a sign and walked away.

Love the small town feel and the staff has always been helpful. Plus the Pharmacy has some really great workers and might I give a shout out to the pharmacist Dr Rockey who has gone above and beyond to help me with my medications in the pastNow that they have these little shopping carts it's my granddaughters favorite thing to do with me and she says she loves MY Hannaford better than her's . Kids are so funny

Convenient, but seems more pricey than the larger stores. It's great for non-perishables, not ideal for meat, seafood, and produce shopping.

Clean and friendly location. Even at the busiest hours, it is still easy to navigate and find a standard selection of products. There is no salad bar and the selection of produce is limited to the most common produce. I have never seen an item out of stock, or found products on the shelf that are expired. The self checkout is decent but note - you cannot combine multiple payment types, apply Hannaford Rewards bucks, or purchase clearance items at these registers.

It's nice to have closer to home but the selection really is limited. It's not typically super busy which is also convenient for a quick in and out

I used to go there alot but tonight I wanted to use self check but wasnt allowed to which is fine but I do my own usually cause it seems people dont care how or what the bag together...I had all my stuff put up accordingly but she bagged my heavy pack of Hamburger with bread and other soft packaged items and it smashed them. I was disappointed but unfortunately exactly why I prefer doing my own! I understand customer service isnt always easy but I'm a very nice customer and always show respect and gratitude!!

Pharmacist was very rude and unprofessional but technician I dealt with was very kind. Store itself is alright, not a great selection. The staff is usually very nice and helpful!

Some things I like about the store are that it is convenient to my north Scarborough home and badly needed in the area, and I like its small size because it makes finding items a lot easier for me than in the huge stores. I do find that there is a consistent issue however with the freshness of the produce, sometimes necessitating me to travel to a competitor in order to find adequate quality.

Management and the seasoned cashiers at this store are a joke!! Got sick of my fruits and veggies being thrown in with heavy items, so I started arranging the belt so this wouldn't happen but they would reach and grab items from all over the belt. Then I started asking to bag my own groceries. They responded by giving me a big attitude and purposely rung in the items so fast it was impossible to keep up. Now I go through the self checkout but guess what when they see me come in the machines become mysteriously out of order! Not stealing groceries you dirt balls just hate dealing with your attitudes and stupidity, get a life and stop harassing us!

5:30 pm, lots of people there, only 1 reg and 1 /14 item checkouts open each with a bagger. Line was several deep. They opened 1 more aisle for 5 minutes. How about opening a couple more " bag your own " aisles? I'm not proud. I'd gladly bag my items to help speed things up.

The staff in the deli really brighten my day to see, the friendly service that I get every night I need my pepperoni. It's too bad they've been out of stock for so long though- I hope they get some in soon!

The buxton location has its moments. It will provide some of what you need but I have had multiple time where I got expired food. It’s like no one has any pride in their work.

This store is a bit smaller than most Hannaford stores. So some more unusual products are not stocked. Additionally I think the organization could be better. But it's clean and well staffed.
