Whoever runs this place should be ashamed of themselves. There is the SWEETEST cashier who is the ONLY one I ever see working when they ARE open. She endures verbal abuse from customers, always seems to be working alone. Clearly they care more about saving money on labor than providing decent working conditions. CORPORATE should wake up! It was decent when pickle was around, whoever it changed hands to…terrible mess now.

This store is barely ever open. When it is, it's a mess. A few yrs back it was nicely run little store. Id get anything from curtains,to dishes to clothing items.. Now I only go there if I absolutely have to. I went there today. Suprise! Not open. I was there 2 weeks ago, and the guy could barely work the register ( idk if he was on something or not) looked like he hadn't showered in a month. And had 2 little kids with him running around the store and behind the register. Smh.

I have gone there a few times and it is disgusting. They don’t have simple things like wrapping paper or ribbon. The manger actually told a women who apparently go false information from an employee, that she does not write a review every time she’s unhappy. Well, of course not, her standards are so low, where could she complain about??? I have to say if someone like this is who Dollar General hires…..I’ll never frequent again, I’ll drive 30-45 minutes for a store that is customer service oriented and actually meets the health standards and professional. I am sorry that this happen this women and I wish her the best. She didn’t deserve that treatment especially from management. Shame on dollar general!

Recently it's been nothing but closed 3 times in thr past week we have gone and there's a hand written closed sign on door with no reason. But has 2 employee cars outside. Inconvenient.

They need to clean the floors and dust the shelves on a more regular basis. They also need to order more of the regular items in the store... Very nice polite employees.... has to enforce the rules of the mask!!

I always enjoy shopping as a way to kill time and find new deals. I enjoy stopping here from time to time to look around and spend some money, but this time I went looking for a stuffed unicorn for my niece she had seen and was soo excited to had found what I needed 🎉 and it was also nice to be greeted, helped and waited on by very friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant employees.

This store started out real good but as of lately word's can't express how bad the store has gone down hill most of the times you can't walk down any of the aisles but the biggest problem is whenever you need something the store is ALAWAYS closed might as well.close the store they are never consistent very very disappointed

I was able to find what I needed, but really had to look for it. Took me a good hour to find one thing. Other then that the store has good prices and the employees are nice.

Only need a few things or need to run out for a couple of last-minute items? Dollar General is definitely the store for you. They have everything from milk to clothing to make up to hardware. you name it they have a little bit of it. Need a quick card and some gift wrap for a present? wonderful selection of cards and beautiful gift wrap. all at very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly professional and very quick to wait on you. Always a pleasant shopping experience. The Buxton Dollar General across from Hannaford he's the best one going. The store is always neat and clean and there's always somebody willing to help you find wht at you're looking for. I know for me if I need a gallon of milk I'd rather run up there then go to a big grocery store. Any kind of Health needs at the last minute? They have them from first aid to upset tummy you name it and they probably have it.

I have a hard time understanding the purpose of this store and have only visited once. The variety of products in each department is very limited and the prices are generally not as competitive as they are at the Hannaford across the road.

Horrible service today, told their out of propane because employee was lazy. If you buy propane you know new ones have a blue cap on them so when your told their out and you parked by the propane you happen to look.
