Perfect after lunch snack! We stopped in to try the November flavor drop, and we fell for the Fall in Bourbon County 🍂🥃🍧. My favorite flavor is the Toasted Coconut 🥥🌴 and I chose to combine the two. The staff is always fantastic and if you find a favorite flavor, you can take home a pint. Whether you're a local or visiting from away, definitely pop in and try a flavor or two!

Amazing! Really delicious Gelato in a wide variety of delicious flavors. They were so kind and let my sisters and I try many flavors. I got the dark chocolate and coconut. So rich, smooth and decadent. Already craving more. I hope to be back soon.

Such a unique place! I was worried when my brother suggested our families meet at place which, judging by the name, appeared to mostly serve gelato because it was February. In Maine. However, because of global warming, it wasn't too cold outside, and I was able to have them take my serving and heat it up so that I was able to drink it like a hot chocolate. Nectar of the gods. The only problem was that I made it look so good that my wife went back to order one for herself and there was a significant delay. However, the place was absolutely packed so a little chaos is understandable.

The Gelato Fiasco is one of my go-to’s in Brunswick and has been ever since my friends and I attended grad school in the early 2010’s when we’d all walk there almost nightly. When we’re in the area for reunions we still stop by.The staff are always friendly and have no problems letting you try samples of the different flavored gelato. It is a chain so if you’re used to high-end gelato in Boston you may not be impressed but they have a decent amount of flavors you can mix and match. They also have things other than gelato such as “drinking chocolate”. My only complaint would be the prices are just a teensy high, but that’s everything right now so probably not their fault.Will always come back for more Gelato!EDIT: I was incorrect that it was a chain as the flagship store is in Brunswick, but there are several other locations so it’s more of a local franchise rather than national chain. Sorry for the assumption/confusion.

I’ve had gelato from many different places and there’s is right at or near top top of the list when it comes to flavor and variety! The atmosphere is nice at this place too. I’ve always had good customer service. Sometimes they can get pretty busy, so keep that in mind.

First time we ordered Wold Maine Blueberry crisp- best ever!!!! We also had Torched s'more marshmallow, heavenly!!We fell in love with the Gelato that we had to go out of the way to come back on our way back home to PA! Second time we had Banana Boat (attached image) and Summer School- both delicious again!Don't think you could go wrong picking a flavor! Their website gives a great description of the flavors! We had great service both visits as well!

false advertising much???the toasted marshmallow flavor on display looked great. possibly delicious. warm brown hue, globs of marshmallow, the works. see image number one.the toasted marshmallow pint that I purchased bore little to no resemblance to the flavor on display. it was vanilla chocolate chip ice cream. undoubtedly. see image number two.you may also see imagine number three for the false advertising.I would have requested a replacement or a refund, yet the workers were struggling to keep up with a line that extended beyond the entrance. I finished my pint out of pity — the same pity that prompted me to give this location two stars instead of one.I do not blame the employees. I blame management.at least the name serves as proper advertisement… what a gelato fiasco.

The gelato was very tasty And even the smallest serving was plentiful for an adult. Any serving size you can request more than one flavor. There is fun group sofa seating in the back with a shelf of board games to play with friends. Little pricey fun treat once in a while

Delicious! Their blueberry flavor (Maine wild blueberry crisp) was great but I didn't like the crunchy oats that they put in , it was too big and tough.Their torched marshmallow flavor was amazing. The marshmallows weren't tough or frozen.Mango and lemon flavors were as expected. Delicious.

I don't know why Fiasco is in the business' name, other than that it rhymes because the place is well run, even though the place was very busy on a cold Saturday night. I ordered the dark chocolate mint gelato. No cold headache! I could feel the tang of the chocolate in the back of my throat! Yummy! You are encouraged to stay by the board games stacked on a shelf. Old style of Monopoly available. Maybe Millennials Monopoly will be available one day. Friendly staff. Large selection. Coffee and cookies available. The business has been open for eleven years.

The gelato fiasco is amazing! Everything is homemade. The flavors frequently change. They have an online menu that displays their daily flavors. The gelato and sorbetto are similar to what I’ve had in Italy. Would recommend in Brunswick or Portland! Nice coffee shop vibe inside

ABSOLUTELY ADDICTIVE.So many flavors, and the staff really knows how to mix and match. I got spicy mango with sweet cream and it was one of the best things I have ever tasted! Also the staff is very aware of allergens and lots of gluten free, and dairy free options. Options that are both gluten and dairy free are marked with red scoop handles to make it easy for customers who need to know.

Definitely try the blueberry crisp if you want to try something unique in the best ice cream place you can find in Maine according to Travel+Leisure, also nowadays you can try the flavors before ordering. Another awesome thing about this place is that they close at 11PM even on Sundays. So don't miss this spot.

Oh my goodness this place serves the best gelato!! Super cool atmosphere along with great customer service and delicious gelato, is why of course I have to give them 5 stars. This gelato was so good it had me seriously considering moving here. Lol. But seriously they have a rewards card where you can earn free gelato. Umm I would probably gain like an easy hundred pounds from an incentive like this. They are a little pricey but a hint that I didn’t learn until after I went for seconds was they’ll put as many flavors as you want into a small. Which for me if I had known sooner I would have tested this by getting all of the flavors offered. I did try about 10 different kinds and all were spectacular. Which only made it harder on me when it came time to choose.

We came from Kansas to visit family today. After dinner we were looking for a place that we could all get dessert. My daughter is lactose intolerant, but loves ice cream. It is hard for us to find something she can eat, let alone that has any variety. We were in awe of the variety, but the taste blew us away! I had the strawberry rhubarb and couldn't believe the amazing flavors! It was unanimous, we may come back to Maine just to get gelato!

❤️ Love our last-minute 5-hour excursions to Maine!! Time well spent enjoying a beautiful evening just relaxing with our dear friends Ken & Evey and yumming on my 1st ever Oreo cookies Gelato!! Honestly though...what's the difference? Its ice cream given a fancy name where $7 gets you a medium that holds a half of scoop. They do have some adventurous flavors, so I'll give them that. Worth more than that being with the hubby and dear friends ❤️

I had such a great experience at The Gelato Fiasco! So many of the flavors sounded so good, and the person who helped me let me try about 8 different flavors! They were all excellent. I ended up getting the "special hazelnut" (apparently the hazelnuts are from Italy!). It was maybe the best hazelnut gelato I've ever had. I highly recommend The Gelato Fiasco!

Recently relocated to Brunswick and finally got a chance to try this place out after passing it multiple times in historic downtown Brunswick. I took my kids for an after dinner dessert and not one of us were disappointed. You start off with great service and have the option to try as many flavors as you want before settling. Two of us went with the Smore Gelato they had on the menu that day and my daughter chose old fashioned chocolate. All 3 of us went with the mediums and we were lucky enough that they still had some of their homemade waffle cones. Medium is more than enough to satisfy that sweet tooth in my opinion. We can't wait to go back and try more flavors. Such a cute, clean place to go to for your sweet tooth needs.

My day is always made better with a visit to Gelato Fiasco! The gelato here is so smooth and creamy, and they have so many flavors. Personal fav is the Netflix and Chill (PB base with PB cups) and caramel and cookies, but they often have rotating seasonal flavors! I love this location because of the many small tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the ice cream. Definitely worth a visit!

The Baskin Robbins 31 flavors of Gelato! This place has probably more than 31 flavors with each one meticulously created like a masterpiece work of art. It's not just a taste, it's an experience! I remember trying Gelato for the first time at this store and had a Ratatouille moment. It transported me to a whole new dimension of cuisine experience that I didn't know existed. I've since tried Gelato in many states and regions and keep coming back here. Like loosing your "v-card" you'll never forget it. I compare every Gelato experience to this place and every other place has fallen short. The flavor selections are amazing and widespread. The staff are super friendly. The layout of the place is great with couches, tables, stools etc as well as outside seating. They have, "happiness in a cup" which is chocolate gelato turned into hot chocolate that will nock your socks off. The coffee is great. The prices are reasonable. They're meticulous about not mixing flavors in the display case but they'll gladly mix flavors for you in your cup. The waffle cones are awesome. If you don't know what flavor you want they'll gladly let you taste some flavors. They also have a loyalty rewards called the red spoon society. They even sell gelato at some major grocery stores at least as far south as Virginia. Trying this place is a must experience if you're visiting in the state.

Oh my goodness…I will start by saying I am not an ice cream fan…my husband loves it and he wanted to go here tonight.I decided to sample the raspberry truffle and it was hands down one of the best treats I have ever had 😍So flavorful and yet light tasting,I can’t wait to return!! 💕
