One of the staff named Tom just spotted me cash out of his own pocket to help cover a type of horse feed I needed because the only brand available was the more expensive. Really left me speechless with the impromptu kindness. I honestly needed the little inspiring boost and some faith in humanity right now. This store is family run and we need more stores like it. ❤️

Wrnt in looking for a submerged water pump for my girlfriends dogs waterfowl dish.Was pretty cool to look around. But unfortunately they didn't have a small enough water pump. But I would recomend going and checking them out. Very Freidndly and helpful service staff.

I have been buying fish and supplies here for almost 20 years. I have always been happy with the customer service, prices, ect. They always have a large selection of fish at fair prices (far less that the national companies). Another great thing is they will order specific fish if possible. The fish quality has always been great. Have only lost a few over the years. I would highly recommend them for you pet / livestock needs. Nice to support a local company that is not all about corporate greed!

I found this place by accident, I was dropping my brother off at the train station and "bumped" into it. I needed feed for my broiler chicken and I thought "how convenient "! The woman behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable. I told her I had never been there before and she told me about the place. They can special order things if they don't have it. You can also get your chicks there in the spring. They have feed for all your livestock needs as well as dogs, cats, birds, fish, and small birds. You can also get fish, gerbils, rats and guinea pigs.

I love this animal store. The animals are friendly and I love holding them. They have rats, mice, fish, crickets, lizards, all kinds of birds, guinea pigs and rabbits. They take such good care of there animals. They have all kinds of toys for all there animals for sale. They have all the supplies for any animal that they sell. They have all kinds of feed for animals. Even though they do not have dogs they still have so many supplies for them. This is one of the best animal stores I have gone to.

I left a three star review based on how someone else told me their experience was. Since then I've went and felt much differently than they had. Employees helped me get what I needed and we're very friendly. They also have a much better selection of cat food than I've seen at other places, and had exactly what I needed. Great store!

Everyone here is helpful and super nice. There was also a parrot somewhere in the store which deserves 5 stars on its own. Anyways, I get my chicken stuff from here and I think the prices are quite reasonable. Check them out.

Place is not what it once was when I began purchasing my pet and farm supplies there 28 years ago.Staff was helpful and friendly back then. Made you feel welcome, especially if you were a regular customer. But....the customer service skills of the staff and friendly experience has declined over the years to below that of the big box stores.Real shame....

I stopped on their busiest day of the year, Chick day and everyone was extremely busy but willing to take a minute to explain the right feeds and equipment needed to get my baby chickens started right. I am thankful to have a locally owned store like this in town. Helpful and knowledgeable staff is worth the drive. The store had lots of options for equipment and the chicks were very healthy. I'll definitely be back.

Store was dimly lit, a little grungy, and had items on the floor taking up walking/isle space.They do have a good selection of products for a wide variety of animals and pets.However, their aquatic section had more sick or dead fish than some local big box stores, and when asking to buy aquatic plants nobody really wanted to help us. The person assisting us had little, if any knowledge about plants or what they were doing. (They didn't know the names, look, or type being sold/asked about).

A local store covering lots of needs. I go to look at fish. Seem to have a variety of fish. Fish seem cared for but often new person working on fish ever time. Aquarium plants are limited in selections with limited knowledge of what they have for plants.

Brooks is a good well stocked feed store. I've picked up several items for our farm here and they have a good selection of animal feed and farm store. They also have pet supplies, food and toys. My son like the fish, rabbits and birds for sale.

I've been going to Brooks Feed and Farm for over 20 years, and has been my preferred chicken food vendor, and pet store in general. Memorial Day weekend on Saturday I went in for my chicken feed, and picked up a shepherd's hook for a memorial garden. Turned out it was the wrong size, so I brought it back to upgrade 1 week later - I brought my receipt, in case there was an issue. I was told I couldn't return the hook without the package of screws that came with it. I said there wasn't a package of screws that came with the hook, but the lady, who I've been dealing with for MANY years, said she couldn't return it without the screws. I offered to leave my stuff there and they could keep it all, but the lady caved eventually, and I paid another $40 for a much bigger, clearly more expensive shepherd's hook. I'm there every 2-3 weeks, and have been for so long, it seems ridiculous to 1) not take my word for it that I didn't get a hook with a probably $.5 package of stupid screws, and 2) lose a regular customer over something so petty, but the principle about customers is that you value their business. I did NOT feel valued - I was quite offended by the whole situation, and am really considering going WAY out of my way to use a different feed store. Really disappointed that my local store would place such little value on a regular face.I've been in many times, and spent tons of money, bought chickens, played with the cats for adoption there, bought plants, dog and cat food, etc.

Worst customer service ever! As a first time customer every single person I encountered was rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there. Including the guy who helped load my feed. When I directly asked him if I had done anything to offend him because he was shaking his head as he loaded, he just walked away. Not the only game in town so I’ll never go back. It’s not rocket science, get it together!

This is a great place to buy feed for animals and also to get small animals and some birds, and seeds, plants etc. We have bought bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters. Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly! A great store!!

I`ve been there 3 times....thought I would give it a chance since I want to support local business whenever possible. Place is dirty and dusty.... the bird room looks unkempt....people rude if your not one of their regulars who are probably all related.After my last purchase I said "may I use your restroom?" I was told customers are not allowed to use it....isn`t that the way to get customers to take their dollars somewhere else! I`ll try and find another local business that wants my money. Never going back.

For the second time in a month the employee at the checkout attempted to overcharge me. I was purchasing a 15 pound bag of dog food which had no price marked on it. I had noticed the price on the larger bag a d,while at the register, the cashier consulted a price list and proceeded to ring up the higher price. When I pointed out that the price was that of the larger bag, she became annoyed before correcting the price. No apology, no thank you for your business. I won't be returning.

I always go to Brooks since moving to the state. My inlaws swear by Brooks and have gone there since before my wife was even on this planet. So unless the service drops off I will always get my feed from Brooks

Best place to pick up great farm fresh eggs, they also have a good selection of bird seed, I always get our eggs &bird feed here...friendly staff here. Bueno
