Very Good Selection of Garden & Power Equipment and they Service what they sell. Knife Sharpening Service. Fair sized parking lot. They sell Stoves and Pellets. Some Clothing as well. We had a leaking hot water pipe under our kitchen sink. Thanks to Sheps wonderful help we were able to find the correct fittings and parts to get the job done. We have never tried to do anything with plumbing so went in with no knowledge and he was able to walk us through all steps so we could feel confident in what was needed. I honestly can not thank you enough.

The customer service at Ace Hayes True Value store is second to none. Not only do their employees go out of their way to help but they are all friendly, funny, and personable people. This store recently refunded me for a faulty sump pump after six months of use. I had lost the receipt but nonetheless they refunded me 100% for the sump pump and sincerely thanked me for being a customer on my way out. I’ve had a truly incredible customer service experience there! It’s great to have such a good hardware store in a small town like Bridgton Maine and I’ll always stop in at Hayes True Value first for my home and garden needs. 👍👍

Expert professional friendly and compassionate staff. The young man who helped me select a generator that would work best for my husband’s oxygen equipment in the event of a power outage was wonderful. The young man who led me around the store to find an assortment of items I needed was very patient and kind. The big box stores should come to Hayes and learn what excellent customer service really should be.

Guys in the back were super helpful when we needed a part for a brand they don't even carry, and got use a substitute from a brand they do carry, we just had to modify it a little ourselves. Didn't realize you can find reverse thread nuts in standard sizes and thread patterns all around. Metric? Not so much.

Great store !!! Alot of selection ,prices are fair in most cases ,but some items can be over priced ,most of the staff is very very helpful and knowledgeable, I did ask for some information and a price on a grill and the younger gentlemen knew nothing and was not offering anything , the store does have a great selection of everything you would expect a hard I store to have and more ,I would recommend shopping here.

Not a bad store. Good selection and prices are fair. Would be a five star if the customer service was better. No one acknowledged us until we asked and we walked by a lot of employees. They also seemed to want to goof off a little more than help out. They were however polite and directed us to where we needed and got our item out of the cage.

They have a strong selection of items. Several staff on floor, many were young and no one offered assistance. Ive worked in home building for nearly 40 years. Knew what I wanted but struggled to find it. Asked the price on one item.. person didn't know. He asked another, she said look up the number and walked off. He couldn't find the item number, couldn't find anyone to help him, I suggested putting a sign on it as it was outside and left.I know employers are struggling with help. Which is why I gave it 4 stars. It is evident that the sales team is not cohesive. Had this been prior to the pandemic I would have rated it 2 stats, but I need to give the employer the benefit of the doubt

A handy hardware store in our own back yard! Carries a good selection of paint,reglazes windows as a service upon request,equipment rental and repair service. Good plumbing and electrical selection. Lawn and Garden Section. Local History Book Rack,Common Hand and Electrical Tools. Pleasant Staff. Some Toys,Pocketknives( good gifts for Fathers Day or Christmas!) Flags and some Seasonal Decorations. Deal with REAL PEOPLE here...and NOT an AUTOMATED CHECKOUT.

I have been a long time customer at Hayes True Value. We rent a lot of equipment and have always been very pleased with the condition of the equipment. The other day I went in with my weed wacker because it was out of weed wacker line. I have a Dewault and found out this model is tricky to re-line. I went over to the rental counter and asked the gentleman if he could help me. He (Brian) not only helped me but had to go online to find out how to re-line it but also spent at least 15 minutes doing it for me. I can’t express more how helpful and patient he was and what great customer service they have! We will continue to patronize Hayes True Value!!!!Thanks again Brian!

I will give 5 stars for having the part for my sink drain that none if the bug box stores had. BUT 2 stars for the girl army the register. I watched her interaction with the guy in front of me, he tried to give get his rewards card but she never acknowledged it or made eye contact with him. She just rang up his item fave him a price and when he asked about the rewards she says we usually do that at the beginning. She did ask me if I had a rewards card I stated no she rang me up and handed me my receipt and didn't even ask if I wanted a bag. No eye contact. When I said to her have a nice day she looked shocked.

Waited almost a week for a product they told me they would order, had it in my hand at home Depot but put it back to support local businesses in my town even though I had to wait, as a courtesy, because they ordered me the product. Tuesday comes, no call back, so I call... Unfortunately it's on back order. No one thought it was appropriate to contact me when they noticed that after trying to place my order. There are no employees working the floor to assist customers. Prices are ok. Inventory is ok. I would shop Paris Farmer's Union or other local businesses. Friendlier staff and supports Veterans with discounts. This owner refuses. I personally don't like to give my money to businesses that don't support our military.

This is a good hardware store fully stocked with the tools, plumbing and electrical parts you need for home projects. They also have a large selection of outdoor equipment and rental equipment available for larger projects. The staff is friendly and easily accessible to answer questions.

Cashiers there were not helpful, had an attitude, and didn't listen. Items are over priced. Cashier wouldn't verify price... Tired of their lacking friendly and considerate customer service at the front end.
