I’ve shopped there since I was five. The Meat Selection is excellent…. Great Baked Goods and Deli. Fair and competitive prices on most items. Lots of fun and quirky Gifts and Souvenirs , friendly and helpful LOCAL Staff. Plenty of Parking and Handicap Accessible .

Amazing store with awesome workers. They are a locally owned store that really care about the community. I was so last minute with needing a prime rib and they still accommodated. Jennifer in the front was the best to work with as well. 10 stars!

Employ owned home town store. All through the pandemics worst times this has been my go to store. They have a decent selection of fresh and locally sourced vegetables, awesome baked goods, many made fresh in store. Their meats are better than Hannaford, better prices too. If you cant find it at Hannaford, chances are they have it at food city.Check out their spices section. Huge 6oz of spices, no fillers 5.99, huge variety also. You will find all kinds of things that you will never see in large corporate chains.

I give this market 4 stars because of its location, convenience, friendliness and lack of crowds. The market inside is a bit dated but it is clean and the selection is good for a small market. I often avoid the larger and newer Hnnafords so that I can get in and out quickly. It's the only local place to buy Shayne's of Maine ice cream!

This is a smaller but well stocked supermarket. The best is it is not crowded like other big supermarkets around.Goods and fresh produces here are reasonably priced too.I will recommend Food City to other grocery shoppers.

Came in just to get cheese. There's 3 ppl at the deli just standing around laughing and talking. One person said to the other you have a customer and he said no I don't, we close at 2, while not even looking at me. Then he looks ai me and says we're closed have a nice day. This is at 2:20 pm mind you and they're open til 8 pm. First and last time here.

The food city market allows people to shop for good quality products. They carry good quality needed options and lack reduction options with other labels. Ideal for grocery shoppers that don't want to make it a long time profession.

I found the management seems truly warm and friendly to talk to, they've never made me feel like I'm putting them out of their way just to get some answers to any questions I may have. Also I'd rather do business with a local owned company, because if we didn't have the competition of smaller companies the larger ones would raise the price out of control. And there's been enough of that lately.

Please don't make a judgement between this store and Hannaford based on looks .I love local stores who look after their local community . The staff are awesome , the prices are fabulous and the range of products are great .I like the local Hannaford but it's more expensive so please give this local store a chance to succeed

I love Food City. It feels more like a Hometown Store than Hannaford. You can get everything you need at Hannaford I guess but I like the idea that this is employee-owned and has had its roots here for a long time. You get very good service and things are affordable and good quality in Meats and produce

Excellent small Town Grocery Store. Well stocked deli. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean restrooms. Handicapped accessible. Good for quick shopping. Magazine rack and newspapers .Free local papers. Prices very competitive.This location and store are featured in several Stephen King Stories."The Mist" and" Under the Dome" are two of them.

Always love this store. The only thing that would make this better is the deli hours. I understand that they can't get enough workers. It's really too bad, I really like this grocery store.

AWESOME!! Best customer service, decent selection, really good competitive prices, and love that it’s employee owned. We walked in for the first time being new to the area and the guy working produce was super friendly, gave great information and was really welcoming! I also love that the decor is straight out of the 80’s! Will definitely always shop here!!

What I love about a small home town grocer is the people in them. I will spend every dollar of mine at a mom&pop store, including gasoline, then give it to a large chain. I have shopped here for over 5 years now and will continue. They are great for name brand things as well as bargain brand. Quick easy shopping at it best. You will not be displeased. I love this store.

Traditional style Grocery Store. Employee Owned. Good Produce and Meat,friendly Staff. Restrooms( when available.) Local Papers,Magazines,Beer,Wine and Hard Spirits. Good Frozen Food SelectionPrices are'nt bad. Stephen King tie in to "Under The Dome" and " The Mist." Look out for Large Pre Historic Insects from Another Dimension's Portal appearing and eating the occaisional Tourist...or two.

I love their chicken but they were out of food at 5ish pm, so all the hot food was gone but their chicken is awesomely delicious! They have great service an usually have hot food till 6pm anyways! Love food city an easy 2 get around an not a huge store either easy 2 go in an out fast or not..

We really enjoy the selection at the deli and the price is right . The quality of the fresh food at the deli is always amazing. Heather always has a smile when I come into get chicken tenders.

We just love food city it's the only grocery store I like to go to, the prices are great along with all the employees every one is always friendly and helpful, I will not shop at Hanfords for their more a corporate company and don't really care about the people only the money. So yes I love food city thank you

It's a nice store they have a lot of sales.. but I do prefer Hannaford over food city. Food city doesn't carry things like sushi etc. Hard to find things you need. And can be over priced unless you catch a sale.

One of the best beer selections around. Not as busy as the other large grocery store in town. While the selection may not be quite as large Food City makes up for it with a great prepares foods section and you can be in and out quickly.

Never shopped here before... Was looking for a specific item that another local store seems to no longer carry... And Food City had it... Will go back soon to see what else they have and how their prices are. Still frequenting this great little grocery store that is well stocked with all that one could need.

This is a small grocery but I found a favorite frozen food here that I can't seem to find anywhere else in Maine. Italian bread is good, too. Cashiers are very friendly. Quick trip. No long lines.

The bakery items are delicious and baked in house. Buy the onion rolls. Seriously. And the cinnamon raisin bread that you slice yourself...omg. These guys are a Maine employee owned supermarket. If you are old like me, it's like an IGA. I don't usually buy meat there though.

I absolutely love Food City. Its roughly 30 minutes from me but it's worth the trip. This is the only place I go to when I'm in town so I make a special trip just for their deals. They offer terrific Tuesday deals that are usually always a great bargain. They have fresh baked breads, whoopie pies, cookies etc. They also offer fresh baked English muffins that are huge and delicious! Great selection of produce and they offer free produce for the kids to snack on while your shopping. They also have premade sandwiches. You can get 2 subs for $3! There isn't anywhere else I know of where you can get that. The hot food at the front of the store is very responsibly priced as well. I actually will go in there for something quick to eat like a burger instead of a local take out. It's much cheaper and taste good.

Lynn and Judy are super sweet and helpful 😊 Judy has gone as far as walking around the store with my toddler when he was fussy, holding his hand so I could shop. The store is always clean and they have great sales too

Food city is more expensive than Hannaford and has less stuff. But the cost of not going to Hannaford is priceless!!! Plus the staff is better don't look at me I won't look at you take my money for these frozen pizzas.
