Adorable store! Has all my book needs for my children, my husband and myself. Love the rewards program as well and the sweet cat (Luna) that wonders the store! Oh, and they're awesome and will order you books if they don't have them in stock! My daughter wanted a specific book on bugs/insects and they got it in that same week. 😊

Love love love this place. I'm sure I'm not telling anyone in Bridgton anything they don't know but there is nothing better than a small local bookstore. Reminds me of "You've got mail". Pam is the best. She can recommend a book just by hearing some likes and dislikes. She is a 10 out of 10 on her recommendations.

Have been going here for nearly my entire life, and consider it a staple of the Bridgton community. Incredibly nice staff, good selection, great place to kill time before a movie or while waiting for food, and often a great bookstore cat. A gem of a small-town bookstore.

NOT child friendly! What a terrible first experience in this store. A woman (who doesn't even bother to greet us) bends down and tells my child to put his snack away because "sticky hands and books don't mix" and makes my one year old cry. She doesn't apologize, but instead continues to talk about the books, as I'm trying to console him. I've never encountered such rudeness from a small business before. Why not tell the parent who is standing right next to you, to please put the snack away, rather than scare a toddler?You're better off going to a Sherman's where they couldn't care less if you're drinking a coffee or eating an ice cream cone...all are welcome

I recently visited this bookstore for the first time, the staff were all incredibly kind and the store had a massive selection of books! After ten minutes of looking, I turned around to see a little cat following me and almost cried with joy! That’s how I met the lovely bookstore cat, Luna! She was the best unexpected surprise and I can’t wait to go back soon!

Love this book store. Great selection of best sellers, paperbacks, local goods, and used books as well. Features a sitting area for the kids to read. Rumor has it a certain famous best selling author from Maine has been known to show up now and again.Support local book stores. Buy local. Love this place. Friendliest shop in town.

While I live in Virginia, Bridgton Books is my favorite independent bookstore! My parents retired to Bridgton in 1982, and I would visit them often (I lived in Maine for over 10 years, until my work took me to Virginia). Those visits nearly always included a trip (or two) to Bridgton Books. Part of the allure is that this was my Dad's bookstore for 26 years. My Dad was a reader and so am I, and we like to read books (and newspapers) to learn about this world we live in, or, in my case, escape to another world a novelist has created. Justin and his wife run a wonderful little bookstore that, to me, is all you need or want in a bookstore. I'm coming to Bridgton for two weeks in July, so expect many visits!

Bridgton Books is an absolute gem! Long-live the local bookstore. Over the years, in all seasons, we've enjoyed perusing the stacks for a great read (for any age) and finding that perfect gift or card. Recently Justin was kind enough to recommend and put together a care package for a recuperating loved one in the hospital. He even so kindly delivered it for us! Even though we're far from Bridgton in another state, Bridgton Books is our beloved hometown bookstore.

This bookstore is wonderful. I lived in Bridgton Maine for most of my life and every time I come in this store I find something I love. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. If you can’t find what you are looking for they will definitely help you out. Whether it’s suggesting something that’s similar or ordering it for you online, they are the best. Can’t wait until I can come home to Maine to visit this store again.

The best bookstore! Lots of books on hand and if Justin and Pam don't have it, they can order it and it will arrive more quickly than the on-line book sellers! Need a children's book? Pam has impeccable taste and knows where every children's book is in the store. There's even a store cat. Perfection.

One of my favorite bookstores since I was a little kid. They have every genre you could possibly want and you'll find it hard to leave once you settle in. I could spend hours in a place like that. Nice to have some small locally owned bookstores left.

I have loved going into Bridgton Books since the store opened! Justin chooses the most amazing books and displays them so they catch your eye. I just bought a book called, "Lessons in Love" by Brad Oliphant. It got all five star reviews on Amazon. I always leave the store feeling happy and rejuvenated! Small and local, eclectic, up-to-date, and just plain funky! It's an old space with uneven floors and a rundown bathroom, but the staff is happy and helpful, the book selection is amazing for a small-town shop, and it's just a really enjoyable place to spend some time browsing. Wonderful independent small town bookstore. Unique in every way, from the selection (varied, broad and surprisingly up-to-date) to the atmosphere (quaint feel, mismatched firnishings, a floor that isn't quite level). This is my all time favorite book store! I hope it will be here forever. I dont go any where else for my books. They have an amazing selection and if you dont find what you want they can look it up and order it for you. I love this place because it's a very comfortable environment and I can spend hours in there. They also have a cute lazy cat there that loves lovin's! I highly recommend this book store!
