Two Salty Dogs is a small pet supply store run by people who ACTUALLY own dogs and use the products they sell. They can make first hand recommendations. Their prices are fair for the high quality products they sell. I have had many direct conversations with the owner, Don, either view email or in person where he has helped me in every way possible. Even though we have moved well out of the area now, we still regularly make online purchases of products we *could* get other places. Plus, Don will make you laugh (if you have a sense of humor).

Don and his family run an amazing store. They have the most amazing treats, toys, and accessories for our 4 legged friends. The selection is amazing (stuffed lobsters? treats made with blueberries? winter coats made locally? emergency tick pullers when you visit the region in late spring and early summer?) but what keeps me coming back over and over is just how friendly, funny, and engaging Don and his team are. And they give back to the community. This is a stellar pet store (dare I say, one of the best) and you won't regret a visit (I know my beagle gives me a look if I don't come back with a treat from Two Salty Dogs). Also, sign up for Don's monthly newsletter! Not only does it have discounts on a selection of amazing dog and cat stuff, but the guy is hysterical. At least for my sense of humor. :)

Wonderful place for locally sourced treats for the doggos. Very helpful, kind and warm staff to meet you and a very friendly pupper to greet you. They made our pups day, and you can tell that pets are their passion

This is the BEST local pet store we have ever had the pleasure to shop in during our travels.It was stocked to the rafters with everything a pet parent could possibly need at home or away. So many toys, an amazing collection of well made collars and leashes, poop bags for a reasonable price, locally made treats, and a shop owner with a wicked sense of humor. I am sold!! If you find yourself in Boothbay Harbor please do yourself a favor and stop in to this little gem of a local shop. You will not be disappointed and neither will your four legged family member. (ps: I also recommend that you visit their website and subscribe to their monthly newsletter, I will certainly be looking forward to reading it each month)

Our two miniature huskies and Lundehund are well taken care of all summer long. These folks are great. Great service. Great products, including stuff to get out skunk odor. Still have the reindeer bells they found for us when we were looking for bear bells. Always friendly. Always there when you need them. Of course, I am expecting free food, leashes, and collars for this review when we come back next summer!:)

My wife and I stopped in here on a recent visit to beautiful Boothbay Harbor, and what a place! Like no other! We'd never seen such a selection of stuff for dogs (and some for cats, too). But the best thing about this shop is Don, the proprietor. He is funny, smart and a great entrepreneur. Stop in and chat and you'll enjoy it. And I promise, he has things you have never ever seen before for your dog. Was it Icelandic Moonfish? I think so...there are strange things like that that happen to be dog treats. Do NOT miss this place--it's easy to find and really terrific!

The employee named Regan was so helpful and pleasant. She has such a nice smile and disposition. What an asset to the shop. We can't wait to go back. They have a great variety of mostly dog stuff but we got stuff for out cat.

placed an order for 25 lbs of kibble. charge authorization placed on credit card, but did not receive email confirmation. called business, spoke with "owner", got accused of trying to somehow trick him and got cussed out for my trouble. ***to set the record straight: "Don", there was no polite phone call or email message. You did call me After My call to your cs person, as that is when you cussed me out, and the charge authorization is still on my credit card***you have a great day as well!

Stopped in on our trip up to Maine with our pups! The worker there was super sweet and gave us plenty of tips for the area. Both their dried liver snacks since we got a coupon for staying at Shore Hill Campgrounds. The dogs go nuts for them! We also got them a pack of wuffie pies! Such a cute way to make your dogs feel included in Maine adventures

Absolutely the friendliest place for pets. They are so helpful and love the dogs. They took a special liking to my English Bulldog 'Spike'. If you bring a dog with you to Boothbay Harbor it's a must go to.

I needed a very small amount of kibble (hadn't packed enough). The woman working there was kind enough to dig through her stock and find me a couple of free samples . We also purchased some allergy free arthritis treats that we look forward to trying!
