What amazing staff. I was up here for the eclipse, set up in there parking lot, and my tripod locked up. They didn’t sell the Allen key I needed, so Todd let me borrow the one they keep in the back. Talk about above and beyond o the busiest day for them.

This place is always there when you need something. The staff is always laughing and there to help, even in an emergency situation. Big props to this store for being so great and keeping the community well taken care of!!

Bought more food for $100 than I ever expected from a small town grocery store! I was very surprised, and very happy! The veggies and meats both looked excellent (tasted great too!). I will definitely be returning! As I was pleased with not only the cost of the groceries I bought, but the quality and taste of everything. Good job Jimmys!!!

Pros:• Conveniently located, especially if you’re staying in the nearby cabins.• Stocks a good range of products, akin to a regular Hannaford grocery store.Cons:• Prepared foods can be hit or miss. The chili was okay, but the Swedish meatballs were a letdown.• Had issues with pizza wait time and quality; crust was uneven and doughy.• Checkout can be slow; anticipate a 15-20 min wait.Overall, it’s a handy spot in Bingham given the limited choices, but there’s definite room for improvement in both food and service.

Edit*** I’m dropping a star for the number of expired items found in this store that remain in the store a month later. Things from 2017 (in the end of 2018?) and frozen ground meat from early this year. This store is a bit of a mixed bag in my experiences so far. The stocking situation is a little odd sometimes, where some things like soda will not be in the soda section, but in the middle of the juice section. Sometimes, though, you find foods you don’t expect and are pleasantly surprised. (Especially in the case of random food cravings) Sometimes you buy something, get it home, and open it to find it’s competently gone by even though the sell by date has yet to pass. The staff situation is also a mixed bag. Almost everyone there is friendly and helpful, but some of the staff are incredibly unprofessional or rude. Several of the people in the back make snide comments about what you’re buying from the deli cold case, saying stuff like ‘that’s gross’ and ‘well I wouldn’t eat that!’ Another outright refused to help a women with a specific request and someone from the front of the store had to come back and help her themselves. All the people who work the register tend to chat with their fellow staff while ignoring their customers and end up making mistakes while ringing you up. I wish this place would keep their food fresh, at the least, and not sell expired items.

Decent prices and good food you can order for dinner. Ordered some subs and pizza for the family. Only 1 lady working in the back but the food was done relatively fast and it all tasted good.

Extremely high prices. And hes a part of shop and save Hannaford and out of the 3 big businesses in this town, one of them being Jimmy's market, the other 2 banks, not a single soul, can provide any help to the community food banks or anything like that. I think this business and the 2 banks in town need to step up to the plate.

For a small town market, they have an excellent selection, and many organic products, while keeping their prices fair. You really can get everything you need right here. The deli has really fresh cold cuts and very friendly slicers! The cashiers are always welcoming and happy to help you if you can’t find something.

Any chance we could get self checkout implemented in the store? Just so that all of the personal stuff I buy doesn't become the new Hot Scoop of gossip that runs around the store when I leave. The amount of drama and gossip that comes out of this store is worse than a high-school.

Jimmy's is a good stopping spot on your way north into big country. It's a mix of small market and deli, with places to sit and eat. They have a good selection of sandwiches and other take out food. My small Genoa salami sub was more than enough food for lunch and quite tasty.

Got a BLT from their kitchen, and it was terrible!I should say that the girl behind the counter was swamped with stuff to do and had no help. It took her nearly a half an hour to make me a BLT.She's obviously untrained, because what I got was a sandwich that had a river of mayonnaise in it, perhaps a single piece of bacon at best, no tomatoes, and all lettuce. The sheer amount of mayonnaise was absolutely gross. I've attached a photo of my $9 BLT sandwich.I asked the girl where her co-workers are, and she said she "doesn't have any, it's always like this". Stores where food is handled and that are understaffed make me cringe. This place is a pass for me.

Let The Buyer Beware definitely applies here!Jimmy's is host to hidden problems that make it deleterious for the casual consumer. Here's a few specifics:The meat coolers are never cold enough. Walk up to the cooler, find the built-in thermometer and see for yourself - it is *ALWAYS* in the red DANGER range, meaning it is too warm to properly refrigerate the meat.Similarly, freezers - where food is meant to be kept frozen - are off for hours at a time, with internal thermometers showing up to 54 degrees F. This means that food that is meant to be kept frozen is permitted to defrost and refreeze during the cycles of when the freezers are on and off. Also, meat, bread, and other dated items are constantly repackaged when the "sell by" date comes and passes, so as to give it a new "sell by" date. This means you're still paying top price for food that is potentially spoiling, or on the verge.Their pricing is deceptive. Items will be marked one price but scan for significantly higher at the register. Didn't catch it? Your loss. Even when mistakes are caught and the employees are notified of the mistake the problems continue. I personally know of bread (French baguette marked for $1.29) scans for almost double ($2.49), and I have notified the cashier countless times. This has gone on for literally months, and to this day has not been corrected in their system. Another example was a bottle of hot sauce which was marked $1.99 but scanned for $99.00 - yes, a difference of over $97.Prices are high, some unreasonably high. If you're desperate, then you pay it, but if it's not essential, just travel a bit further to get to a real store in Madison or Skowhegan.Lastly is the grab-n-go food, like pizza slices and pre-made burgers and hot dogs. They don't make them often enough for them to be fresh, and is common to see food that's been in the warmer for many hours, wilted and dried. Even if free, is not worth the potential health problems.Overall is poorly managed with policies which are unethical and dangerous to the consumer.

Between Jackman and Madison Jimmy's is the best grocery store hands down. They keep a huge variety of speciality items, good fresh produce and a diverse beer, wine and liquor products. Staff are friendly and helpful. They just added gas pumps outside as well. My only complaint is their meat selection is a little small.

Please double check your receipt and price for items you purchase because the price on display is totally different from what you will pay at the register, At the register it’s much higher pretty expensive.

Very family oriented supermarket. Friendly people. Dont get this from where the wife & I come from. The breakfast was great for the price as we passed through town. Definietly would recommend the breakfast burritos. They were nothing but the best!

Helpful staff. Put in an order for a bunch of steamed lobsters (soft shells) and they came through perfectly. Store well laid out, excellent selection of seafood, was very impressed in general.

Meats are never kept at proper temperature (see submitted photo) and prices at register are often more then advertised. Fruit is often sad looking and wilted, rarely looking decent enough to buy. Prices storewide went up 10-15% in January with the election results as the "excuse", but no change in quality or quantity of the products offered.

I have shopped at this store for 60+ years and have always enjoyed Jimmy, his family and all the employees. At least one business in town is still thriving and there is no need to travel the additional miles to Skowhegan. I’ll bet that the residents of Bingham, ME are very greatfull for this store and the employment opportunities that it creates.

This is the place to go for groceries if you're in Bingham. And you ought to go to Bingham. Cough drops and cold cuts, lemons and lobsters, crackers and cheese, dairy products and beef (so lots of things from cows, living and dead) . Beer and wine if you are old enough.
