The owners and staff very welcoming. Lobster roll was very good. Hamburger cooked perfectly and tasty however it should come with more than just meat. A$10 hamburger should have onion tomato lettuce.

Tasty takeaway with friendly service! We enjoyed a lobster roll, a haddock burger and two octo-dogs for the kids (nice touch). Quite an extensive menu. They have a lovely outdoor picnic area too. We took ours to-go but we will be back!

Best lobster roll in Maine. We spent a week there eating 2-3 different lobster rolls a day. This place was right by the cabin we stayed in and it was so good I got one to go for my wife when I got home. The staff was great and friendly the cost was also very reasonable considering what we paid elsewhere.Would highly recommend.

One of the best lobster rolls around. Portion was generous and it was delicious! My picky son said the grilled cheese was "very tasty" and my daughter said it was the best hot dog she's ever had (seriously!).

Great lobster rolls with buttered, toasted bread, one of the best we've had. The haddock sandwich and veggie burgers are also very tasty. My main complaint is that they don't take cards, especially with the prices they charge.Vegetarian options: Great veggie burger!Parking: Parking can get tight but there's a fair amount of spots

I was disappointed in our long awaited trip to the establishment. I suggest you read the prices carefully because I was shocked when the hamburger with nothing but ketchup, the very basic BLT and large greasy fries came to $28.00 and change.The picnic tables were clean and had a nice umbrella protecting them from the sun. The staff was very nice. But I won’t be going there again. The place was very busy so I am sure the place does well.

Tiny place that is worth finding near Belgrade. Perhaps the best lobster roll I've ever had. The mayo with dill was laid on the toasted and buttered roll in just the right quantity, and the serving of lobster was all the roll could hope to hold My daughter's lobster BLT was the best she has ever had. The homemade Cole slaw and zucchini salad were both outstanding -- freshly made with fresh ingredients. Holly, the owner and chief chef, cares and it shows. We will return.

We got fries and hot dogs. The fries were very soggy and the hotdogs seemed like they had been boiled in water. They were rubbery! Especially for the price, we never went back.

Unbelievably good Haddock Burger sandwich. (All four of us had the same thing, because the report of an earlier meal moved us all.) Tasty, seasoned with dill, it left all of us happy and filled. The French fries were excellent as well, and everyone voices their approval.

There are not enough words to express what an absolute treasure HJ Blake’s is. My family looks forward to eating here every vacation. The food is incredibly fresh & well prepared. We love the lobster rolls haddock burgers and hand cut fries.

I'm not sure if the staff had an off day or what. I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich and fries. Toasted cheese would have been good if not for the cheese having an odd taste. The french fries were supposed to be hand cut, they tasted frozen to me and they were soggy. Husband and son inlaw ordered burgers both were raw in the middle. Certainly not a place I would recommend. Sorry

This place is worth finding. We live on a sailboat in the Caribbean, so needles to say we eat a lot of fish sandwiches. The fish sandwich we had here was by far the best. The also had some great funky side salads. Cool funky little place, not what you expect to find on a back road.

visiting from PA, we come up every year. My brother introduced us to this place last week (we knew it as something different) and we all snorfed down the BEST haddock burger... but today.. today, husband and I went back to split a lobster roll and haddock burger... not again... we will EACH consume the BEST lobster roll ever, ever... no lettuce, no gobs of mayo.. but lots of decent pieces of lobster with just a touch of dill (!) mayo ... We are disappointed they are closing in a few days but we will be back before Sunday and then... next June - we will live there.... I don't know who HJ Blake is but long may he/she live and prosper!!
