I’m overly protective about my tiny dog (we went through some scary health problems at one point) but I don’t ever worry for even a second when I bring her here. Paws and Claws is absolutely the BEST place to bring your furry babies for grooming, nail care, and boarding. These amazing people actually DO care about your pets as if they were their own. I wouldn't DREAM of taking my dogs ANYWHERE else

Paws & Claws did an amazing job with my very scruffy Springer. I have recommended them to friends who have been very happy with the grooming of their dogs as well. The facilities are immaculate and the groomers kind and loving to your pet.

Amazing!! My husband brought our chihuahua in to have his nails cut....we were unable to do at home because he tries to bite us....The woman that cut his nails had no problem with him....and literally took her 2 mins from start to finish. We will be taking him there every few weeks from now on. :) couldn't beat the price either...great deal.A+++

I went there without an appointment for my mini aussie. I was headed away to a military school on short notice and wanted to have my pup groomed before leaving her with my mom for a few months. They said they could at least do some trimming but they didn't know if they could bathe her, which was absolutely fine by me since I didn't have an appointment and they were booked. When I picked up Maghi they had done the works, and she looked fantastic. They even finished her off with a little Army bandana. Everyone was so friendly!!!

Very disappointed with the service and my dogs hair cut. It usually takes my dog an hour or less to get cut. The groomer told me that it would be an hour and a half. But when I came back she told me that she had not trimmed her legs and would have to shave them because they were so matted. I take very good care of my dogs hair and I know she wasn't matted but the groomer wouldn't show me what she meant. She also told me it was going to be another 25 min (after waiting an hour and a half). I told her not to bother and that I would go somewhere else to get her legs done and i was already in a rush.They took so long that i had to leave and have my husband pick her up later. When he picked her up they charged us for trimming her legs, after I told her not to bother. My dogs cut was $55, for not doing what we asked. In addition, my husband said the groomer was rude and won't let him see our dog until he paid.The groomer also didn't understand what a cocker cut meant (every groomer should know how to cut the breed of dog). If you have a cocker spaniel or a dog with longer hair, i wouldn't recommend going here because they have no idea how to cut longer dogs hair.I usually go to Rachel and Shannan Groom Salon in Winterport (they charge $35 and they are always done within an hour ) but they had appointments booked way out so i decided to take my dog here and it was a bad decision. A year ago my baby girl Harley wouldn't let anyone even the vet trim her nails. Was told to bring her to Paws and Claws. Well the first time as I was waiting she made such a fuss a gentleman asked me if that was my dog be murdered (of course that was not the case, that was how much she hated it) a year later and a caring and compassionate Kamrie and staff Harley walks right in by herself and is done in a jiffy and no Stress. Thank you Kamrie and staff for all you do. 💜💜💜💜💜

So apparently people who use Facebook for business are able to filter reviews. I posted an acute and unfavorable review, as did my wife, to Paws And Claws pet grooming's page and both were taken down. I took to Midcoast message board on FB and the owner of the grooming place managed to have it taken down. How is this fair? Reviews good or bad posted should be able to be seen. The owner is unprofessional and is sneaking around removing negative feed back to make herself look like gold. I tried to communicate with her but she has no idea how customer service should be handled. Such a sham.
