Have been a customer at Foster's Family Pet Center in Belfast since they first opened on the other side of Rt 3. They've always been helpful, willing to special order items, and stand behind everything they sell. I'd rather pay 10 cents more (or ten times that but it's never been an issue) and Support Local Businesses.

Has some high prices but if you're not the leaving the area it's a good place to go. Even if you don't need anything big, it's a great place to go in the winter especially with kids and you may find something you didn't originally plan on getting

I love this store! I go here exclusively. They have a HUGE selection of pet products, and the staff is the best I've ever known. Very friendly and helpful, knowledgeable, they make u feel like family. I highly recommend this store if you've never been here. They are the best, in my book.

Hi Fellow Googlers!Let me be frank and say, I'm very happy with this pet store. For a small store, they have a very good variety of pet products and small animals (i.e. gerbils, hamsters, bunnies, etc.). We have a pretty obscure dog food for our GSD. To our utter amazement, they have his Fromm food. It was very surprising and very helpful as we didn't want to drive to Bangor to make a PetCo run.They also have a good store customer program!It's definitely a place I suggest you stop in.

We just purchased a Betta Fish and they had a great selection. He’s very healthy too. Brian helped us and was very knowledgeable and great with my sons who had lots of questions. All of the staff that I have talked with there are super friendly and knowledgeable. Give them your business instead of the big box stores!

We came across this beach by accident and it was the perfect place to bring our 12-year-old lab to meet the ocean for the first time. She loved it, this beach is inviting to pets and people respect the leash law. It is such a friendly family place that I can't wait to go back. It is primitive and only has outhouses. But it's worth it.

Had a great experience here!! They had a few types of animals and so many freshwater fish tanks with a wide variety of different fish and the gentleman that helped us was very nice and knowledgeable. The only thing that kinda stinks is their return policy on thier fish..... you only get 48 hours to return a fish if it dies that's not nearly long enough to know if the fish is going to make it also for those who live a little ways away you may not be able to get it back there in that time period. Again a great place I'm sure I will go back but because of the return policy I'll check others first!

Selection and service is great. They always have what I need to feed my reptiles in stock and if they do run out they quickly restock. They take great care of the animals they sell and make sure customers are educated and have everything they need to provide for pets before they send them home.

First time visiting the store a couple of nights ago. I was beyond impressed by the selection of fish they had. All tanks were clean and 0 deaths noticed. My rating is based on price, I was beyond shocked at the prices being charged compared to other non corporate stores. A $15 dollar fish being sold for $26, a $35 pleco being sold for $54 i believe it was.

Staff was A+ Bird and Reptile section B+. Store was clean. The Fish section needs attention. I counted 30 tanks in the middle, all but 6 had dead fish... they had the "white" on bottom after float appearance.

If there was a chance to give a one star review I would sell sick imbred hamsters and then get mad when you come in not even a week later to return the thing because it's gonna die. This company seriously needs new associates and new management this store has gone under and is the worst store around maine. Never come here. Never purchase an animal from here not only are they sick and imbred they have the worst customer service in the world.

I got my sun conure, Tango here in may. Very friendly and sweet from day one. Staff was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the right food and toys that he enjoyed. I will definitely be going back to get another.

Spacious well stocked pet store. Healthy well taken care of animals, phenomenal knowledgeable staff, the best specialty fish (especially rare hard to find catfish and plecos!) around. Every single time I pass through (1.5hrs away) I ALWAYS plan on going in. This is a model for what a modern small town pet store SHOULD be. Worth the drive just to go look around.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A good selection of products. Relatively high prices compared to the big box stores is the biggest drawback. However, when you factor in the fact that the nearest big box store is 45 minutes away, the price is more reasonable.

Awesome store! All the animals and especially the fish (which is a rarity) looked very healthy and well taken care of! Customer service was phenomenal. Will be shopping here often!!!
