A slice of Italy in the midcoast. Solo Pane e Pasticceria transported us to the European bakeries we often fall in love with during our travels. From the moment we walked inside, we were taken aback by the smell of fresh bread and the dozens of picture-perfect pastries. My partner had a savory snack, and I had a yummy pastry filled with hazelnut butter that was just incredible. We were both impressed by the quality, presentation, and taste. At $5-7 on average for a pastry, they aren’t necessarily the cheapest, but they are worth it. Add a coffee from their dedicated coffee bar, and you’ll get an authentic Italian breakfast for around $10. I also heard they do aperitifs… I so wish I lived closer!The “worst” thing about Solo Pane is having to decide what you’ll order — everything looked divine.

OMG their whole wheat sourdough bread is incredible! I can't believe how lucky we are to have this authentic bakery in Bath. I can only speak to my experience purchasing bread and pastries, I've never sat down for a meal, but I've always been treated promptly and with kindness. But, honestly, they could be totally rude, and I would still go just for that crusty, squishy, earthy bread. It's *that* good!

Had a very good almond creme pastry, that was roughly 6 inches across. Two stars, because it was $15. This outrageous price, makes me predict this place will not last very long, because pricing your product beyond the marketplace, is a great way to fail as a business. What a great addition to the area. Friendly staff. The food is top notch. We had their croissants, which were freshly made and their Espresso was spot on.We stay for an hour or so. And there was constantly a line of people, so they stay busy.Definitely worth a visit.

A traditional taste of real Italy! Fresh breads from sour dough, baguette, brioche, focaccia, pizza like you would get in Roma, fruit tarts, cornetti, ricotta pastries, maritozzi, selection of Italian cookies. Stop by for bread and as they say for "la pausa," so coffè and a cornetto. As good a pasticceria as you'll find anywhere in Italy

As someone who is very selective with pastries and such, this is hands down one of the best I have ever been to. You can tell the love and hard work that goes into every pastry, sandwich, pizza, and other things from the moment you walk inside. Perfectly sweet pastries without compromising other ingredients, this place is a MUST try if you are passing through or staying in Bath! So good that I had to write this review. Thank you so much for the yummy treats, I will most definitely be back :)

World class bakery in the great little town of Bath, Maine. Daily sweet specials, pan pizza, and rotating loafs. By far my favorite is the olive stritato. They have a solid sourdough and their plain stritato is also great. Mixed lo alc and NA drinks and apertivo. In the afternoons is best deal and vibe in town. Skip their coffee for now, they haven't figured that piece out yet, but they will. Get there early for best selection!!

There is a little piece of northwestern Italy that has carved out a tiny nook in downtown bath and its atmosphere and it's called Solo Pane.Their offerings delight those searching for sweet or savory. The hot drink offerings are delectable and the staff are extremely welcoming. If you haven't yet, take a day to skip over and try Solo Pane!

I stopped in at 7am Sunday. First time I’ve been to Solo Pane. The food was delicious and the coffee was good. Owner could work on the 2 girls at the fronts customer service skills and general attitude this place would get 5 stars but their attitudes made me want to run out the door.

So I really love this place!! Having moved here from Boston they offer delicious pastries and pizza you wouldn’t ordinarily find in this area! But I have to say everyone that works is usually very friendly and helpful! That is until recently! The people that have been there continue to be great! But I went in last Sunday and the 2 girls working, I think they may be fairly new we’re very unwelcoming!! So honestly I left without purchasing anything! Today I decided to go back and get some pizza for lunch and I’m glad the 2 guys that have been there for awhile now were there!! Because one of the girls that was there Sunday rung me up and still with a I don’t care kind of attitude!! And as I was leaving I could hear her complaining to one of coworkers!! I’m sorry but they are unprofessional!!

This place is amazing.its like going home to your Italian grandmothers for Sunday lunch.there is Italian music in the back and friendly staff in the front. there is more food there than you could ever eat, and they make it the traditional way.they have a great cappuccino and have kept me coming back at least once a week since they opened.!Autentica!

First time going in it was pleasant and the customer service by the two young men up front was great. Second visit we were in line waiting, and abruptly asked “what we wanted” by the young girl behind the pastries. My fiancé asked if they had any stuffed croissants, and the girl responded with attitude “what are you talking about?” which took us back. I said “you know like the ones with stuff in them, ham, cheese” and she replied sharply with “Well, no we have all kinds so you need to be more specific”, but refused to tell us what they had. She was so unfriendly and attitude filled, and appeared to have little to no customer service skills. My fiancé still chose to purchase something, however I did not. As a small business you should know your employees represent your business and this town…. Be kinder.

Absolutely amazing! I can't stop talking about this place to people, coworkers, family, friends. So. Dang. Good. Never had anything from Solo Pane that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed! I just need them to always have the olive focaccia, because that seriously made my taste buds sing! Their coffee options are delightful as well.Thank you for setting up shop in Bath! Soggy pizza, looked and tasted like it was warmed in the microwave.No taste, no appearance. 😞.When questioned about it, the server replied, "This is how foccacia should taste"Water smells of mold.
