So I try to give the small guy my business. I hate supporting the big box stores. With that said I went into Rocky’s Ace hardware to get a bag of pet friendly ice melt and was very disappointed. I have been thinking about getting a snow scoop this year and saw some for sale in Rocky’s entry way but no price was marked on them. Then I saw some Carhart clothing but again no price tags. I grabbed a bag of the ice melt which I could have sworn was marked $16 and headed to the register. In front of the register was some power washers that could come in handy next spring but again no price marked. I absolutely refuse to purchase an item from any store if they can not put a price on it and I’m not spending my time and energy to tract or chase down an employee to ask what the price is while they then have to check with several other people to tell me the price because someone couldn’t price the item to begin with. At the front counter the cashier was somewhat friendly but it seemed sort of a struggle for her to be friendly. She rang up the ice melt and it was not $16 but instead $28.47 out the door. Again I try to support the local smaller business and understand that their prices will be higher but really $28 for a 20lb bag seems a little steep. Any how I tried but I will not be going back and I must say that if the small business doesn’t even want to try to compete with the big box stores then just close your doors and give up which is what I suggest Rocky’s do.

This is the best hardware store in all of midcoast Maine . This place has a hometown feel while being as large as a big box chain and Carries and services everything you need. Craig the assistant manager is always putting on fun promotional community events and knows all the locals . Super friendly and located conveniently in bath.

After many years of shopping this store when it was Roger's Hardware, I have always gone there to save from going to the big box stores. Since I retired from service, I am proud to show my military ID. Now that is not good enough for corporate. Do they not trust a government ID? So until corporate approves that I am a veteran I no longer can get the same discounts as contractors get. The employees agree this not right, but they have to go by there rules. So I guess I will be going to the big box store, instead of buying what I considered local.

Can't say enough about the customer service at Rocky's Ace. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful, friendly, and accommodating. And, they really stand behind their products if there is any problem. In this day and age that is a rarity. We will be pleased to give this store our business as much as possible.

I will ALWAYS swing by Rocky’s before heading to a big box store. Every single time I go in, I am greeted and offered assistance. I rarely have an issue finding what I need and if I do, there is always someone gladly willing to help.

Rocky's is one of my all time favorite store's. If you can't find what you need someplace else, go to Rocky's. If they don't have it, they will get it. The staff is fantastic. Very knowledgeable AND friendly. I don't even bother with the big box stores. At Rocky's they know my name and that makes the experience that much better.

This a Great place for sure ot has about anything u need to fix something or get lawn care stuff and new mowers and rent stuff as well I go there daily for my nuts and bolts and anything else I need u name it they have it for sure and I been going thrre for 30 years. And my dad and grandfather went there as well

I had the absolute best customer service experience with Brian. I went in looking to just pick up a few things so my friend could fix something for me. When I saw Brian I flagged him down to help me look. Not only did he grab the items but after my questions and curiosity gave me a hands on lesson in store on how to wire what I needed! I was so blown away by this and grateful for his lesson! I walked out with exactly what I needed and then some. I will definitely be going back to Rocky's!

Rocky's has a good selection of Stihl products. I bought a chainsaw and they did the factory startup procedure before handing it over. They registered it in store for the warranty, which was pretty fast and painless. There was a little miscommunication on the extended warranty. I had to go back to get items I was charged for but didn't get, which they were very nice about. Overall, prices are reasonable, some a little higher than the big box stores, but that's expected. Store is clean and well organized. Employees are helpful and courteous.

It is very nice to go into a hardware store and being able to find the hardware I was looking for. They have this marvelous row of drawers that contain all kinds of specialty hardware. The staff was helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. I will definitely go back for specialty hardware, it's better than Lowes or Home Depot.

Well all was well. Only when leaving register I said thank you to the cashier since she did not thank me for my business. She remained silent so I just figured she didn't hear me so I repeated my thank you and she just looked at me with no response and I said don't you say thank you or at least you're welcome but still no reply. I'm disappointed to fake that my business with the store was not appreciated even slightly. Shame Shame Shame ....call me disappointed in bath

40-year customer. I had someone tell me once that they have everything except wedding dresses and nuclear weapons, and that's pretty much true. Incredibly helpful and knowledgable staff - no matter what the fix, they can tell you what you need and how to put it all together.. It doesn't get any better than Rocky's!

I love this store. They have everything you need and they are very helpful. Had 2 keys made and I am very happy w/ them. I used to live in Bath and I was a regular, now I just stop by occasionally.

Friendly staff, great selection, and really easy to get there! Some of their prices are actually better than the big box stores so you might really want to give these guys a look!
