Normally I would give 5 stars, i absolutelylove shopping at Brackett's, normally...but last few visits, the cashier really seems to hate her job. Just acted like checking out my groceries was interrupting her day. I took the cues and only spoke to her when I needed to...and stayed friendly, saying have a nice day...well no nice day back...oh well...is what it is I guess.

Brackett's Market not only offers a fine variety of goods, but also has an old fashioned feel that provides an excellent throwback shopping experience. Conveniently located in historic downtown Bath, Brackett's also supports the local community through various fundraisers, events and support. I'm happy to spend my money at Brackett's and every town needs one!

I expect prices to be a little higher due to its location in downtown Bath, but the prices were significantly higher than my local grocery store in Brunswick. Thankfully, I just needed to grab a couple of items. One item I bought was supposed to be on sale, but it didn't ring up properly, so I had to show the sign to the customer service cashier to get a refund for the difference ($2.00 difference in price).Definitely double-check the prices as you get rung up.

I buy my Christmas Angus Standing Rib roast from here. The butcher's are extraordinary. The meat at this store is wonderful.

They have basically what you need. However, service lacks. The cashier and bagger were in a catty conversation to the point where they could barely take the time to talk to the customer in front of me, or even tell me my total. I told them to have a great day and they just kept going on talking about someone that I assumed was another employee.

They have a butcher that knows what he's doing (and is a very nice man too - happy to answer questions). The cuts of meat are consistently excellent. (We love their filet mignons) And their sausages are excellent (made of lean cuts of meat - not fatty, at all. Nicely spiced.)They have a new produce section, that's great. (It was the only thing previously lacking.) The selection throughout the store is very well thought out. They even have beer and wine! And I can't say enough about the staff. They're absolutely wonderful. Friendly and helpful - You're always welcomed with a smile. I always look forward to going there. (I know. That's an odd thing to say about a grocery store, but it's a special place, and I always leave there, a little happier than before, from chatting with them.)

Always great and friendly service. You might expect to pay more but you'd be surprised how competitive Bracketts can be. Great for anyone on a boat, it's just across the street from the Bath public dock. Plenty of parking if coming by car. Overall just a great place to shop. Their butcher department is the best in town.

Bracketts is a great store! The meat counter is top notch! Small town grocery with everthing you need. Good beer, wine, and liquors selection. Staff are cheerful and helpful. I love this place, but their produce needs help. Its just not fresh. Although they provide locally grown items that are awesome!

Great local grocery store, with a lot of charm. While not as fully stocked as a place like Shaw's or Hannaford, this market offers a fine selection of deli, butcher, and produce goods. Great spot for a quick bite to eat, or a small to medium grocery list while enjoying all that Front Street in Bath, Maine has to offer.

It may be a small town store, but is exactly what I love. It has a very good selection, especially with local stuff. Staff is always very friendly and helpful and usually laugh at me chasing my kids with the little carts they have.

Employees are rude. They take off their masks while working so they can chat and put them back on in between, touching groceries after handling their used masks. You cannot ask any questions because the answer rudely. The store itself has no one cleaning the carts and surfaces or anything protecting customers from infection, like keeping the lines 6 feet apart. I stay away from this place as much as possible. I would give it 0 stars

It's a great place to shop for groceries. Only problem I found was that the shelves are overcrowded in an attempt to please everyone which is fine. It just takes a little extra time to find what you're looking for. Staff is super friendly and courteous.

The best meat you can buy! I love that they sell basically groceries. This is the polar opposite of big box stores. A nice family owned business where they make you feel like you are a part of that family. It's where I buy my groceries.

Brackets provides amazing service. I ordered some bulk meat (last minute) for an event and was looking for some biscuits for strawberry shortcake. they were sold out but the baker told me to come back in an hour and she'd have something for that's just amazing and certainly wins my loyalty.

Employees at the cash registers and customer service wear their masks around their chin. Which does nothing. I do not recommend shopping here if you are concerned about your safety! All the other grocery stores I have been in actually care about their customers safety.

Not impressed. Outdated and tired store. Overpriced merchandise. Staff are locals who chat nonchalantly to the local loiterers and are rude to customers seeking inquiries. No restroom or bathroom facilities for the public customer base. They arrogantly tell you to use the town bathroom by the docks, which is closed through winter. You can do a lot better by avoiding this dungeon completely and use the Shaw's Market in the shopping mall for all of your needs.

They have the best Sausage, made in store. Not to be rivaled by any others. Friendly staff and a great variety of beer to select from.

I ran in just at closing time. Rather than slamming the door in my face or hustling me out, they were very polite and helpful. I was not made to think I was delaying them, though I surely was! Great folks!

I've never been treated so poorly at a grocery store. I recently relocated to Maine and had been issued a temporary paper driver's license and they refused to sell me a six pack of beer. I had my out of state license (stamped void by the Maine DMV) and other forms of identification, but it didn't seem to matter to Brackett's. It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't already been charged for the beer before they decided to march me over to the customer service counter to be stripped of the beer and refunded cash. Despite their high prices, I went to support a local business. Now I know better, I'll go to the large chain grocery stores and not be treated like a second class citizen.

Bracketts Market is located on Front Street in Downtown Bath the store is very small and the prices are moderate the service is ok the store is just whatever nothing stuck out but as long as I’m able to get good food that’s what matters however the store is very old and could use some renovations

Stop in just about daily..would like to see more organic local produce, however you can find some in season foods and I think their prices are good overall with great selections for a smaller store, also I never end up waiting in line like I have to at Shaws...very friendly staff..hot homemade foods great!

The best steaks in town. If you are serious about grilling a real steak, this is where you need to go. I get the NY strip. They are cut thick and perfect for medium rare.
