Great place!! Went on a rainy day and we were the only people there. They kindly opened their doors and served us. They’ve got a ton of people working there and they’re all so nice. Lobster roll, chowder, fries were all delicious. I bet there’s great views when the weather is nicer. When we were leaving it started clearing up and looks like it gets real busy at night. It’s BYOB!

Delicious! Would definitely recommend this awesome spot! Very fresh food! Great view of Southwest Harbor. Dog friendly. Plus a fun life size lobster cage for pics (pictured with the hole at bottom to enter).Parking: Plenty of parking!Kid-friendliness: Had a nice space for games (bean bag toss and yard games) in a warehouse building.Wheelchair accessibility: All level pavement.

Good lobster roll, with a generous portion of lobster. They are not very tasty as not prepared with any spice or anything, other than mayo or butter. French fries were good and crispy. They offer the famous Bar Harbor blueberry soda. Note the lobster roll is offered with a small bag of chips. The location is really nice if you can be here when it’s sunny (not like us) as they offer a nice terrace overlooking the harbor. The lobster roll, natural, is $26. Then they go greedy, charging an additional $6 for butter! I don’t want the all pound of butter! The have a very nice little gifts boutique inside.

The lobster roll was delicious and came with a bag of chips. The restaurant is in a nice location away from the crowds in Bar Harbor and they have tables where you can sit right by the water- however you pay for the view and relaxed atmosphere with the cost being a few dollars higher than any other roll I’ve had this week. Would be good for a date or quick get away, a little out of the way for a quick bite. Was nice overall.

We decided to give Archie's a try, since it was away from bar harbor, and we saw online they offered outdoor seating. We were not disappointed at all! Food was fantastic, seemed like very generous portions for the lobster and crab rolls, loved the chowder and blueberry pie as well. The picnic tables were nicely spaced out, and they had some yard games set up. Also great to just relax and watch the bay. Glad we checked them out!

What a gem!Archie’s is a large lot overlooking a lovely little ocean cove with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and even lounge chairs. Perfect for getting away from the crowds and giving yourself a bit of room to breathe while enjoying fantastic lobster and other seafood options. We stopped here as part of a scavenger hunt, beckoned by the bright lobster graffiti, and got the Archie's Bake and added a crab roll to try. All of it was outstanding. The crab roll was overflowing with sweet local crab, and wasn't weighed down with mayo or other fillers. The hot lobster roll was just as good, overflowing with local lobster that we learned come from the owner's family boats! The New England style chowder was perfectly balanced; great flavor and not overstuffed with potatoes. Now, the pie, I normally must have pie warm, however, this pie was great cold! Actually a nice refreshing treat on a hot summer day!The owner, Heather, is such a nice woman who truly enjoys what she does. She is friendly and welcoming to all, not just locals. We also saw a young employee wearing a lobster hat, clearly everyone at Archie's loves what they do, which is nice to see these days! With great food, people, and setting, you won't be disappointed with Archie's!

First of all, this place is GORGEOUS. There's seating right on the edge of the water. There's also a garage barn thing with games, there's a hand washing station, there's popcorn, and I guess there's also the fabulous food!I didn't wind up getting a chance to check out the other lobster shacks, and I didn't feel like I missed out at all because Archie's served me so much wonderful food. I don't get to eat a lot of seafood like this, and nobody hesitated to answer my questions AND check back in to see how I was doing.I really felt like they wanted me to enjoy my meal and time there! Everyone I talked to was just so sweet and kind to me. I felt really welcome here.I got to try a lobster dinner, a lobster roll, a crab roll, clam chowder, and PIE!And I loved all of it. Nothing was fishy, everything tasted fresh. It felt like having a nice sushi dinner with the care that goes into everything. I think that especially shined in the lobster dinner, but it was apparent in everything. And yet, it's also casual, no expectations or demands on you to be a fancy diner. You can even bring your own drink and your dog. It's just really, really fresh seafood cooked with respect.I only had time to try one lobster roll, and I got mayo. And I LOVED it. The mayo really brings out the sweetness of the lobster, and that pairs wonderfully with the toasted bun.I heard blueberries are a big treat in Maine, so I didn't want to miss getting a slice of their pie. They recommended I try a la mode, and in the moment, I was ready to follow the staff off a cliff, so I absolutely took them up on that. And it was DIVINE. I tried other blueberry pies, and this one absolutely took first place for me. The blueberries are SO sweet and flavorful, the crust has that really comforting soft, flaky homemade flavor and texture, AND THE ICE CREAM. The ice cream is so smooth and creamy that it starts to get that melty gooey texture. They have signs about the ice cream at checkout, it's made with local cream, and they aren't overhyping it.I definitely recommend you don't skimp on treating yourself to dessert here! The only thing I regret about Archie's is that I didn't stay in Maine long enough to eat 10 lobster rolls with pie. And more chowder and crab rolls. And everything, actually.Side note for the gluten free travelers: I absolutely had it on my mind coming back and bringing my husband with celiac's, so I asked about the gluten free buns. They told me a staff member has celiac's, and they had her pick the bun to make sure they were accommodating celiacs well. Their chowder is also gluten free and, yes, very delicious!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options made with celiac's in mind.Kid-friendliness: There were kids playing every time I visited! There's plenty of space, so it never felt noisy or busy even with dogs and kids.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is really open with standard picnic tables. Most parking spots are a little narrow and angled, though. It might be hard to find a good spot a peak hours, but otherwise, the last parking spot on the side of the building would give you space on the left.

We’ve been going to Archie’s since they opened in 2021, multiple times on our trip. It’s a great location for toddlers, and for all travelers. The area is spaced out, and now has 3 seating areas to fit your needs and likes. We had the crab roll after reading a review about it in The NY Times and it is now my favorite. My son thought their grill cheese was the best. Thank you for the views and laid back real Maine experience.Kid-friendliness: We’ve been going since we had infant, 3 year old and now 5 year old. Chalk, corn hole, tide pools, and area to run around (but not be in the way of other guests).Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking, and paved establishment - very spaced out tables so easily accommodate wheelchair, walker or stroller/wagon

This was such a great experience, and other reviewers hit the nail on the head with the solid "vibe" of this place. Both the warm traditional lobster roll with butter and the Mayo style roll were very ample portions and completely delicious. Large sweet fresh chunks of amazingly tasty lobster. The setting is a win as well. Many well spaced picnic tables all with solid umbrellas to provide shade. We visited in early August in noon time 90° heat, but there was such a wonderful cool breeze coming off the ocean. Some additional info: they can take credit cards but do prefer cash and the washing up facilities and bathroom facilities were actually in really good shape. Neat portable hand washing sinks at several locations and two of the most clean, odor-free and well-stocked porta potties we've ever seen. We can't wait to come back to Archie's!!

Wasn’t sure where this place was and we didn’t know that this place was located in some warehouse parking lot and they prepare the food prepare in a trailer either. Three of us got buttered lobster rolls, it came with a bag of chips and a pickle (it was $100 something in total). The food was delicious. The lobster, the rolls and the view! (too bad that day was kinda windy and cold). Happy customers.

If you want a laid back atmosphere with great food, great service, a great view, and prices cheaper than most others, this is the place. The food is fresh, the staff is friendly, and there are games to entertain the kids while you wait. Just note that it’s BYOB, so pack a cooler if you want adult beverages. Which just means you’re not overpaying for beer and wine either. Highly recommend this spot.

So good we went twice! They had the best lobster rolls and blueberry pie the entire trip. Beat The Travelin Lobster easily. Clam chowder was very good as well. This place is a must if visiting MDI. Been open for a year and already the best food on the island.

One of the best lobster experiences my husband and I had! Lobster is cooked to perfection—so tender, sweet and juicy. They also put a variety of lobster meat in a roll, including claw, knuckles and tail. We had a lobster dinner that has a lobster roll, a cup of clam chowder, a slice of bluberry pie, and a soda; a lobster roll; and a lobster stew and were stuffed! We tried both mayo and butter versions—both amazing. Owners and wait staff are so kind. Plus a beautiful view.

Dog friendly. Food was delicious! Staff welcoming and very friendly! Great outdoor eating experience by the bay. Definitely recommend stopping. The hot butter lobster roll was incredibly delicious. Lobster bisque was great. Good fries also.Vegetarian options: My daughter is a vegetarian. She got the cheese quesadilla with the lime dressing. She loved it!

The food was great (go for the blueberry pie!!), views stunning, and whole patio area just amazingly relaxing. Very family friendly. It’s a family-owned business, and they catch the lobsters themselves.

This spot was a pleasant surprise. The lobster rolls were absolutely delicious, as was the clam chowder, and especially the blueberry pie. After dinner, our family found themselves playing corn hole while listening to music from a live performer. A really cool place to find great food and hang out after a long day in the park.Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids menu, as well as a small boat for kids to play in, some toys, and sidewalk chalk!

This is one of the best lobster spots in the area, hands down. They catch everything in the morning, have a good menu for lobster lovers, are very generous with the amount of lobster on the rolls and are entirely family run. The place is also right on the water with lawn chairs and cornhole games. They also have soups, pies, and floats. There's a reason this place has almost exclusively 5 stars

We were thrilled to find this place while driving around in search of a good lunch spot. We arrived just after 1pm and there was no line and no wait for a table. We ordered one lobster roll and one crab roll and both were delicious. The service was fast and friendly, the tables were nicely shaded by the umbrellas, and the view of the bay was beautiful. We'll definitely be back in the next few days.

Don’t expect health food, but the onion rings and lobster roll were delicious! Great view. Friendly and reasonably fast service. My local friend says it is his favorite restaurant in this corner of the island.

Oh My!!!! The buttered lobster roll was so tender and flavorful. The bun was so soft and fresh it melted in my mouth. It was pricey but better then a whole lobster I had at a high end restaurant. The onion rings were fresh made and delicious. He had the hot dog and he said the bun was toasted and perfectly done.

So glad we found this place! Came on a Saturday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Nice change from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The food was phenomenal and the price perfect. I got the lobster bake and my husband got the lobster quesadilla. Highly recommend them both. Most definitely get the blueberry pie, the best I have ever had! The view of the harbor while we ate was a great bonus. Staff was friendly.
