Great atmosphere and service. Our server Bart was personable and very attentive. The clam chowder was very good. The seafood dip was nothing to write home about. The lobster roll and crab roll were great and our friends both said if they had to pick one, surprisingly the crab roll was the star. The grill chicken sandwich was great, as were the sweet potato fries. We also enjoyed our drinks. Would definitely return!

We grabbed lunch recently after returning from a whale watching tour. I knew it would be more expensive due to it's location, but it was only a few steps away from where the boat docks and the kids were "starving". As a bonus - you get 10% off your meal if you show them your tickets for the whale watching tour.Our party of 5 was seated right away and the server was very attentive. We decided to go for the full New England experience and ordered "The Down East" Lobster Experience. The lobster was huge and portions were very generous. We also tried the fried Pier House Catch "The Boat Docks Here". It was delicious - especially the haddock. It was lightly breaded and not at all greasy. They have a great kids menu as well and everyone went home full.

We had out first whole lobster here. I've always been intimidated to try it, but the servers are very nice and helpful. They walk you through ordering, then give you all the tools you need. They even give you a bib and a helpful instructional guide on how to break down the lobster. The patio was amazing and the view of the harbor was the perfect way to enjoy our lobster dinner!

Great lobster place in bar harbor. We stopped for lunch after the scenic cruise. You get a 10% discount if you took the cruise. The food was good. I got the lobster roll with sweet potato fries. It was good. The service was quick. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with the view of the harbor.

We got the seafood dip as an appetizer, and it came out of the kitchen so fast, probably the quickest I've ever gotten an appetizer. And the dip was so good, too, so creamy and the perfect amount of seafood. We got drinks on tap, and the local blueberry beer I ordered was AMAZING! The three of us all ordered lobster rolls, and each roll was stuffed with so much lobster that we had to eat some first before we could take a bit of the roll. Delicious meat, perfectly buttered roll... really great lobster roll. The only complaint I have is that I didn't really care for the coleslaw, but I am very picky about coleslaw, so it was probably just my personal preference.After the meal, I took my 2 year old son outside to distract him, and a very kind staff member treated him like he was a little prince. She pulled lobsters out of the tank to show them to him and let him pet them. He so enjoyed that, and i am so appreciative of the time she took to pay him special attention.Overall, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was great, and the beer was divine! Can't wait to go back.

Had the boiled lobster here with potatoes,corn, mussels, clam chowder, and blueberry pie.The lobster was splendid as to be expected and the clam chowder was delicious. The mussels, potatoes, and corn all tasted good. The blueberry pie was great.

This place is in a great location in Bar Harbor, has a good menu, and great views from the outdoor seating areas of the harbor and the ocean.We were seated quickly, and the service was good and friendly.The 3 star rating is because of the food quality… average at best.My lobster roll seemed small compared to other restaurants with lower prices, and the lobster bisque was tasty, but was missing any visible bits of lobster. I am more accustomed to bisque that has a little more meat.A good place for the views, but overall average food at “tourist” prices.

Right on the water with pier seating. The fish and chips I had (haddock)were VERY fresh- that was the best thing about the meal. The fish was decently seasoned, crispy, and juicy as well as a nice size. The fries were warm and crispy and a good cut. The side of coleslaw and the tartar sauce were just ok, absolutely nothing special.I had a cup of lobster bisque soup as an appetizer. It had a lovely texture, but seemed under-seasoned.I rounded out my meal with one of their signature mixed beverages that was very tasty.The service was excellent.The cost for the drink, bisque, fish and chips, and the tip came to $75 for one person. I feel a bit pricey for the food eaten.Parking: Parking is extremely limited and difficult in Bar Harbor. Allow, plenty of time to find parking and plan on having to walk a few blocks. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy ramp access for those that require it.

Good restaurant by the water! If you want good lobster with a great outdoor experience this is the place to go!Location: It is located at downtown Bar Harbor, the entrance is confusing. There is a restaurant entrance for indoor and there is a separate entrance for outdoor at the side which does not make any sense if they are both on the same restaurant. The outdoor experience is nice if there is a nice weather. There are a lot of cute displays.Service: well the guy in front is rude. We did not know the entrance so we went in and he shouted at us and ask us where are we going. Well we did not know, don’t have to shout on us. Our server is nice tho, very attentive and give us recommendations.Food: Food here is delicious! All of us ordered THE DOWN EAST LOBSTER EXPERIENCE, it has everything! It comes with a creamy delicious clam chowder, 1-1/4 lb lobster, clams, buttered corn, potatoes and lastly the best blueberry pie with the delicious vanilla ice cream I ever ate!!Price rating: 8/10, quite expensive but you get what you pay for!Will definitely come back when I visit Bar Harbor again! Will eat more lobster and that blueberry pie!

After our tours with lobster fishing and seal watching got late lunch early dinner at stewman’s.Our entire order was strawberry virgin daiquiri, blueberry soda, 2 glass of beer (don’t remember) from draft, Stewman’s burger, Mount desert crab roll, Cajun shrimp roll and total was less $100 we got 10% off from the tours we went, can’t complaints about the prices here typical Bar Harbor tourist situation I believe.All was good, sitting by the deck on high tops enjoy the view. At the beginning our waiter was Josue then not sure what happen changed to Jake both were good.

It was nice to be seated right away and have a view of the harbor. The lobster bisque was excellent, however it was a bit pricey. In general, it was a bit expensive, but for the ambiance and quality of the food, it was worth it. There were a few times where we couldn’t get the attention of our waiter, but there were a lot of tables, hence the being seated right away. All in all, it was a nice dining experience and we will go back!

This is the consumate New England lobster pound. Tons of lobster buoys adorn thw walls and there are lobster images all over the place. It's located directly on the wharf with tables inside, outside on the waterfront and down a ramp on a float dock. You can see the lobsters, live in their ponds, and the pots are right on the boardwalk for you to see them cooking. We had excellent service. We ordered the pound of Cajun peel your own shrimp. My grandson had the 1 1/4 pound lobster which he loved cracking open and eating. I had the fried scallop platter, the scallops were done to perfection, sweet and tender. My wife had a haddock sandwich which she really enjoyed as well. We highly recommend them!

My wife and I had dinner here! Kevin was our server and he was excellent. Great service! We brought our dog and sat on the deck, and Kevin brought our dog water along with our own! There were so many great options, we had to ask Kevin for a recommendation. He recommended the platter for a little bit of everything, and even recommended the way he'd have them cooked. We went with his recommendation and it was spot on! The food was very good. And the drinks were great as well. A little pricey, but you aren't just buying the food, you're buying the view as well, and no one has a nicer view of the harbor than Stewman's.

Absolutely hands down fabulous service! The host was very forward & had no issues calling out people trying to cut in line. The waitstaff was great, and made sure my dog and I never ran out of water. Finally food and view was totally worth it!

Stewmans was our favorite dining experience in Bar Harbor Maine. The workers are friendly, service is fast, and we were sat very quickly. Food was very good, but would like some more non deep fried seafood options. The location is gorgeous and the epitome of Northeastern coastal atmosphere.

Stewman’s Lobster Pound is a must try restaurant when visiting the Bar Harbor area! The food was delicious and the oysters so fresh. We didn’t try the lobster trap options but they did look amazing from neighboring tables, and our lobster roll had chunks of meaty lobster. Market price when we visited was about $35 per lobster roll. They also have outdoor seating as well as an indoor patio area that is dog friendly, the waiter even brought our dog a water bowl.

The service here was just alright, and so was the food. The chowder was more cream than lobster and the lobster roll came on the tiniest bun. Very pricy for what you get but the scenery is beautiful especially at sunset.
