Friendly & helpful staff. We needed Pizza Paddle - they had it. Cast iron skillet - Lodge, 4 kinds. I truly believe if this store does't have it, you don't need it. Excellent local knowledge too, just ask your wildest question.

The friendliest hardware store I've ever been to. We inevitably need to pick something up for our vacation rentals and we've always been able to find exactly what we need.

You don't have to go far to find something you need out of your way. True value is a great place to go find things that you need like paint, tools, garden supplies, household, pool cleaning, pets items, wood, and also indoor, outdoor furniture.

This hardware store was super helpful. We were on vacation and the battery died in the key remote. We went in to buy batteries there and asked for a screwdriver to pop the back open and the man at the service center was so kind and helpful. He popped it open, replaced the batteries and came out to our truck with us to make sure it work. Very kind. The place was super, clean, friendly and well stocked.

A decent selection of hand tools, Milwaukee, Craftsman, DeWalt, all the packout kits, hardware, nuts, bolts, electrical, wipers. Fast more than you would think, and there's a big building across the street with outdoor stuff. Nice people, and they help but aren't annoying. They do not price-match.

This bigger on the inside hardware hangout sports knowledgeable and helpful people. They have real experience with tools (unlike unnamed big box places) and make the shopping experience easy. All the things you want when you are in a hardware store on vacation. Yes they have bike lubricant.

I've been in 3 or 4 times over the past month. Each time, I've been greeted with friendly and top-notch customer service. Every employee has used their knowledge and expertise to help me troubleshoot some odd projects. I'll be in the area through the summer and you can bet this is my go-to place.

They have more than you would expect, can get anything they don’t have quickly, and have the best service of any local hardware store you’ll find. I shop here 6 days per week and couldn’t be happier to live near this particular store.

A reliable store with helpful and creative staff, quick to find exactly what you need. They are willing to help you figure out how to use or modify a product for a purpose other than the intended one, which is often the reason I go to a hardware store; I have an odd problem that a generic tool won't solve. Large stock which they recently expanded, wide range of diverse products. Makes copies of keys faster than I've ever seen before. Reasonable prices. This place is a Bar Harbor staple.

We were helped wonderfully here, I definitely recommend this place if you need any help getting things fixed! Paul repaired our dinosauric Coleman lantern with great care for a low price and he helped us understand how to take care of it ourselves. Really amazing customer service!

Paradis is a great place with a little bit of everything. The staff is warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make sure you leave with exactly what you need. The store is clean and well organized. They are also locally owned and operated and have some of the best prices around!

BEWARE! While this place does sell fishing licenses and rods, they DO NOT sell bobbers, fishing weights or tackle boxes! This is the only place in Bar Harbor that sells anything fishing related so make sure you get stuff from Walmart before coming to town if you plan on fishing.

Since Paradis' transition from TruValue to Ace Hardware the store is packed even more full of even the rarest albeit necessary items. Prices on big items like new EGO cordless mowers and chainsaws or plumbing bits like valuable Shark fittings are the same price as Amazon. It's great to have a local store with competetive pricing so I can avoid giving $$ to Amazon instead my $$ gets injected into Bar Harbor's micro-economy. The automotive section is a mini version of Advanced Auto. I can't stop picking up inexpensive LED bulbs at 50 cents per bulb. Many items are less expensive than Home Depot. They even have a gardening & groundskeeping section in a separate building for easy loading on a pickup truck. Customer service is excellent, always a floor person prowling around looking to help in finding fiddly bits. Paint section is huge. Always a parking space even during busiest days.

This is a great little store with a very competent selection and friendly staff. If you are in the Bar Harbor area, it is conveniently located and open year-round. If you can’t find it in stock, they will special order items for you and prices are very competitive, usually better priced than the big box stores or online.

Friendly staff and plenty of typical hardware and products that are sometimes not common but you may need. We went camping for the week just outside town and forgot some items that were helpful. Hatchet, rope and charcoal. Had it all.
