This shop offers a variety of unique flavors, with the downside being that you can’t sample them. The cinnamon cardamom was probably my favorite flavor that I tried. Sweet & salty PB was tasty but had an odd, almost fudge-like texture. Metz sugar pill was decent, and their fig flavor was good but rich. My boyfriend really enjoyed his milkshake with their flavor “the dude”

Ice cream shop with delicious unique flavors and rich, creamy ice cream. I never saw the shop super busy and it had more of a local feel than others. I enjoyed a pumpkin ice cream and butterbeer. Many many delicious flavors and no samples. They explain that they are contributing to less waste with that decision and I’ve cream products are expensive. I certainly understand that. I enjoyed very much and would recommend.

Cool place and the bayside fig ice cream is superb—you could taste the fresh fig in it. It’s intense but not overwhelming. I love the store’s interior decoration—all the nun paints are just so unique and fun.

It was a treat to discover this delicious ice cream spot in Bar Harbor during our camping trip in Maine lately! There were so many interesting and unique flavors. We did not know what to pick and asked the staff what were popular and ended up with her recommendation. I had a scoop of lemon poppy jam and my boyfriend had blueberry buttermilk, both with sugar cones. We liked these two flavors a lot, yum!! Just a bit pricey, like what we would pay in NYC.

The ice cream here is pretty good. They have local unique flavors as well. It’s a bummer they don’t let you sample, and the scoops are quite expensive compared to most other places within the US ($7 for one scoop).

We love these crazy named homemade ice-cream flavors. Our only complaint is that we're totally understaffed for a summer Saturday. Only one server with a line out the door and trailing down the sidewalk. That server worked as quickly as he could while being courteous and friendly. One of their claims to fame is that they were patronized by the Obamas and have a picture of him eating a cone in front of their sign.

I went here for the first time while visiting. I had Sweet Cream and Sea Salt Caramel and my partner had Blueberry Sour Cream Cookie Crumble and Fresh Mint. They were pretty tasty. The caramel was a bit too much for me but still good.

Truly a Baa-Haa-Baa treat!!! Flavors are extraordinary and creamy texture. Though no samples are offered, it seems one can’t go wrong with whatever one picks. Friendly staff gives quite an accurate description. Ample space and interesting decor. Not to be missed.

This place is great, but it’s hard to chose and you can’t taste anything so you may not like what you get. Husband got the cranberry bliss ice cream and I got the cinnamon cardamom. Mine was delicious and creamy, his had a bit of an icy texture.

Ice cream selection was an eclectic version of some traditional staples, but done in unique ways. The butterscotch miso was awesome and the chocolate was as if you were in a baker's kitchen and sampling the good stuff! Service was polite, but not quite personable. Napkins were available throughout, but the space needed some additional seating options. Most people must walk up, wait in line, and leave after receiving their order.

It seems that they are always busy on weekday afternoons. But it turns around quickly. I had vanilla the first time and lemon poppy the other day. As a standard tourist who has no particular interest in ice cream, I have to admit that their products are creative in appearances, smooth in texture, refreshingly delicious and leave no strange aftertaste. Btw, my team had a blast! They had chocolate, strawberry, and White Russian in two days. I didn’t have the luck to try blueberry flavor.

So glad to see this place has survived since 2007(!). I love the homemade made on the island unique flavors. Since from the beginning, have had “The Dude” as my staple. Smooth, creamy and not too boozy flavor (just right). But now the matcha has become a favorite for us. We will come next year just to have this every day! Note: During the summer, there are long lines (which move quick) but there is a reason because it’s well worth the wait for this delicious treat.

Super fun flavors! I got the salted caramel and hubs got The Dude (White Russian).... highly recommended. Cute place!Came back in 2023 and tried some more flavors!!! Don’t miss out on the sorbets…. Delicious! The only spot we ever stop for ice cream in Bar Harbor!

Really good ice cream. We got the smaller size and they let us have it in two flavors. So even if you get the smallest still you can try two flavors which was awesome! Many flavor options to choose from and all the flavors we tried were really good.

Hard to miss this spot since you can see people lining up along the sidewalk. Would definitely recommend the fruitier flavors.The Cookies & Cream was decent. The salt caramel was decent. However, the Lemon Poppy Berry and Blueberry Buttermilk Sorbet were ROCKING! I should have gotten the Peach or ginger.Lol ...don't get the Vietnamese coffee if you're a fan of Vietnamese coffee. It doesn't do Vietnamese coffee justice and it's kind of unfair to the ice cream itself.If you're stuck and can't pick one flavor, you can select multiple flavors in your order. Also helps that this place is open late, so grab your dinner, walk around Bar Harbor and if you crave some ice cream, this place is open until 11pm.

Not likely to go back. Service was very rude and the sea salt caramel ice cream was half melted when we got it. Nectarine Prosecco 'sorbet' looked like it was refrozen...was more of an Italian ice and flavor was terrible. Overpriced for a one scoop serving.

Very long wait for decent ice cream. There was a big crowd and few employees. They have unique flavors listed, however, the flavors that we got tasted similar to common flavors. Definitely kid friendly. Ice creamy is very creamy and overall yummy. Portions are small and expensive for what you get. We got bay of figs, which had fruit pieces and a creamy base, brigaderio, which tasted like soft serve chocolate ice cream, callebaut chocoalte, a classic chocolate, and the blueberry.

Great spot with some unique flavors! I got the Maple Walnut and Sea Salt Caramel and the texture was so creamy! Maple Walnut had a very light maple flavor and heavy walnut flavor; I wish it were the reverse. The Sea Salt Caramel was excellent with a really nice caramel flavor. My husband got the Banana and Cookies 'n' Cream flavors and unfortunately the textures weren't quite as smooth and creamy. But the flavors were good! The single was plenty big, but pricey at $6.25 for a single large scoop. Not my favorite local Maine ice cream brand, but would definitely eat here again.

Price is not bad. Flavor wise is on the sweet side. We had 2 triples each with 2 flavors. One with Vietnamese Coffee and Maine Salted Carmel, one with Cookies n Cream and Chocolate. The coffee and Carmel combination is better cause I could go back and forth between sweet and savory.

What can I say but, delicious, tantalizing, extravagant. Had a combination of The Dude and Blueberry buttermilk. Oh my word was that great. The dude was like coffee ice cream with Irish cream they said and it was good. The blueberry buttermilk is more a soft blueberry taste. Will be back again soon. Well worth the wait.

Decadent ice cream, well worth the price. If you have multiple people trying it, you might try the flight (4 scoops). Our groups tried Pain Perdu, Maine salted caramel, Nutella, fresh mint, chocolate and lemon poppy jam. Outside of the fresh mint being a little on the icy side, they were all super creamy and delicious. A must stop. Also, just loved the vibe in general.

My wife and I have gone two nights in a row on vacation. Somehow they make the simple, classic flavors taste better and new. Perfectly rich with just the right texture and temperature. The quality is instantly obvious. Employees are cool too and the atmosphere overall is great. Cool local place to support.

Great treat while waiting for the Island Explorer Shuttle at the Village Green. We had the Blueberry Basil Sorbet , Sour Cherry Sorbet, The Dude, and the Butterscotch Miso. Excellent customer service amidst the continuous flow of tourists and patrons!

The best ice cream shop by the village green! We had the most amazing scoop of Nutella but they had a large selection of other ice cream flavors as well, including Maine blueberry and Vietnamese coffee. A must try place for dessert!

Came here for ice cream while visiting Bar Harbor and the Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie ice cream was incredible! The flavors were very unique, but it made for an interesting experience. Definitely recommend!

Other than the interesting flavors. Below average ice cream shop imo. No samples allowed which made it really difficult because most of their flavors are different from others. A single scoop costed over $7 and the staff’s attitude was not nice at all. Also, their signature blueberry flavor has been out a few weeks now. Just FYI.
