This is a fantastic place to get all of your shopping needs done when in Bar Harbor. The produce selection was fantastic today and they also had very clean bathrooms.It is very convenient to have this located on the island, and as a wonderful place for both locals and tourists alike.

I made several purchases at this Hannaford location during my hiking trip in May 2024. Their produce department leaves much to be desired. I bought a bag of “Fresh Express Flat Spinach” and less than half of the contents weren’t edible. It’s difficult to visualize the condition of the actual product because I cannot see past the exterior package labeling. When I checked the “best if used by:” I noticed there’s no date stamped on it. Come on, Hannaford. You’re better than this. Luckily I can rely on the excellent quality produce sold by my local Hannaford store; several hours away in my home town area.

Just an overall bad experience. I suggest not staying in the store if your baby is crying even if you’re a food shopping , everyone will look at you crazy.. and stare it’s embarrassing and gets my anxiety going . (Not everyone’s case but it is mine) half the people that work there are teenagers the other half are just rude . I wish there were more shopping centers on the island instead of just this place . I’ll be taking my shopping elsewhere. I’ve been going to this shopping center for the past 6 years since I’ve lived on this island with my family . and I’ve never ever had 1 good experience to say .. 🤦‍♀️

This was a great store. Ran in there to get a few things for the weekend and the fruit and veggies looked amazing and fresh, the bakery had some amazing things in it as well and the selection for meat was wonderful. They have plenty of beer and wine to choose from as well as the hard stuff. Great prices and good service from the staff. Will definitely go back if we need something

The largest and best stocked grocery store in the area. Super fresh and local products can be bought here. Live lobster is fairly priced and they'll steam one for you too! We saw the largest bok choy on display for sale here, looked 2 feet long! Be wary of some local products that are produced elsewhere but distributed by a local company

The biggest supermarket in bar harbor. Has mostly everything you would look for. Fresh organic local blueberries available here as well. They also have liquor and beer in the store. The store location is near to the main downtown area. The plus point is they have their own large parking lot with free parking so you won't have any issues finding parking. The staff is also very nice and provide suggestions for local stuff when asked.

I feared that the prices here might be higher than typical market prices given its tourist-town locale. I was pleasantly surprised by both the selection and pricing. They had everything we needed to stock the kitchen/pantry of cottage we rented. In fact, the items I compared prices on were either less expensive or comparable to those at the Walmart supercenter a little further away.

Very well priced grocery. The deli prices are amazing and sell the same store brand as our food lion. Well worth stopping in and picking up some supplies to combat the high food price in the area.

This is your one stop shop when vacationing in Bar harbor. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I really appreciate Richard going to the back of the store to see if they had a specific item.

Hannaford food store was an oasis in the town of Bar Harbor, Maine. It allowed us to buy all of the essentials that we needed on our recent trip to Maine. Product selection was fantastic as were the prices. Since we were driving, this allowed us to stock up on everything we needed for our return trip. Judging from the amount of people in the store, most people thought the same way!!

First time at a Hannaford shop, and I had a fine experience for grocery shopping. :) We loved the seafood selections, especially the grab-n-go packs of pulled lobster meat! Now, if we could have just found the right buns for lobster rolls at home, it would have been so perfect. The employees who helped us were very jovial.

We were on summer vacation and I needed an emergency medication refill. The pharmacist was so helpful and kind. We also found the grocery selections to be ample and decent prices. Great grocery store and very conveniently located if you’re visiting Bar Harbor.

It's the only game in town when you're visiting Bar Harbor. I'm glad they don't take that for granted or use that fact to gouge visitors. Prices are reasonable. Quality great. But beware, it is always quite crowded.

Well stocked grocery store in Bar Harbor. You can find most common grocery items here. You can also get fresh live lobster from a decent price here as well. Parking can get pretty crowded as the parking space is limited but the customers rotate out quite frequently so you can find a parking space open up quickly.
