Visited on a Monday afternoon and had little wait before being greeted by their friendly staff! With so many great options, it was hard to decide, but I honestly think you can’t go wrong with anything you order here! The portion sizes are pretty decent but can definitely be a little pricey. Overall though, we had a great experience and would recommend this place to others!

Just got back from our short trip to Bar Harbor and I am already craving for their Pistachio ice cream. They have huge selections of Ice Cream and wide arrays of sweet treats (chocolate dipped berries, fudge, fried dough). Service is awesome! The girl who took my order name Ping and she is super nice. Got Pistachio and Coffee ice cream but I also sampled the Lobster Ice Cream. The only thing that disappoints me is the portion is on the smaller side. Compared to creameries we have here in NH it is very small. Nevertheless, the taste is soooo sooo good! Must try! Take it to Grant Park while watching sunset.

This place was pretty neat. They had the widest array of desserts and Ice-creams. Everything was a little pricey, but it tasted good. The place was pack, so the staff was kinda short with us and rushed. However the ice cream I got was good and we left happy!

"How bad can it be?" we asked ourselves, as we walked into an ice cream and candy shop to buy coffee.Very bad, apparently. More expensive and far worse than the actual coffee shops on the same street. $16 for two of the most godawful beverages I've ever had the misfortune of paying for. We threw them in the trash.A cappuccino here is actually just a very tall latte. The espresso grounds come from packets, get poured into the basket, then plopped directly into the espresso machine with zero preparation. This leads to a truly horrific shot of espresso, bitter and hollow. And, if you get oat milk instead of whole, they don't even steam it. You get 16oz of cold Planet Oat...Stick to candy at the candy store.

We were excited to try out this place after seeing so many people in line. Unfortunately, it was not worth the wait in line. The cones in the picture are their smallest size and still we couldn’t even finish 1/3 of the cone. The cones themselves are extremely sweet, as is the ice cream. I normally really like ice cream but this place just was not it for us. After a failed visit, we tried Mount Desert Ice Cream down their street and we were much happier with their flavors and serving size. To each their own.The service was great, though.

Super cute ice cream and candy spot right in heart of Bar Harbor. They have every type of sweet treat you can think of! I went here 2 nights in a row and tried a total of 4 flavors, all of which were creamy and delicious. Friendly service and a semi-retro vibe makes this a fun after dinner spot!

Right on the Main Street is this delightful shop, filled with all sorts of chocolates and treats- including their own taffy! Per pound, they had the best price for Maine salt-water taffy!I had a chai tea latte with almond milk, and it was wonderful! My husband had a Blue/Raspberry Italian soda. (And of course we bought their taffy!)The service was very good and friendly. You will not want to miss the variety in this chocolate shop!

This place is tor most popular ice cream place in Bar Harbor. There are plenty of flavors but what makes it stand out is the lobster ice cream.we took a bunch of ice cream like blueberry gelato, orange pineapple, black raspberry and all were amazing. There were many fudge and candies .

If you’re easily overwhelmed, like I am, this place might not be for you. There are soo many different types of desserts and ice creams that makes it very difficult to choose. The gelato fridge was not working when we stopped in and can’t tell you what their gelato was like but the rest of their options are all fresh and delicious. Their chocolate covered strawberries, with milk or dark chocolate were very yummy! The ice creams so fresh and the waffle cones were amazing!!!

The ice cream here was great!! We got the mud pie coffee ice cream and the blueberry gelato, highly recommend both! They have a large assortment of other treats to choose from as well. Expect to pay a pretty penny though, we didn’t look close enough at the prices and we’re quite surprised at our total.

Rich, creamy, no ice tasting. Only 3 ice cream shops in the town, as some local introduced. Tried 2 of them. Comparing to CJ's Big Dipper (which was more icy and sweeter taste), this was the best! And there was a Lobster ice cream - thought it was like Sea Salt flavor but actually not much salty - it did have small lobster chops, which might sound weird but interesting enough to try (at least the sample given by the shop). And there were many candies too.

If this place is a “Tourist Trap”, then call me the “Bear that stumbled in and got his leg caught squarely in it”!The place was absolutely rammed with people. It’s a Sweets Shop….they have candies, fudge, cakes, brownies, ice cream, and even coffee and shakes.Speaking of shakes….this place should come with an Insulin shot.The people working were as friendly as can be considering how many obnoxious customers they must have to deal with.We ordered (8) Fudge dipped Oreos. They were very tasty. We also shared a small (which was very large), Blueberry HOUSE-MADE ice-cream.We enjoyed the treats, but could have done without the volume of people in the place. The staff were great. The treats weee too. You should probably visit.

They have great collection of ice creams. It’s super fresh. The pricing is decent. I orderedSunday with Black Raspberry scoop and hot fudge. Their chocolate waffle cone is amazing. This is a well maintained and clean parlor. The staff is helpful and friendly.There is street parking available in Bar Harbor. It could get hard to get a spot over the weekend.

For the famous lobster ice cream.Which I’m not sure if the red fillings in the ice cream is actually lobster meat or not, but the ice cream tasted decent, most likely vanilla flavored with lobster meat.The second ice cream is coffee sea salt caramel, too sweet/too bitter and the ice cream cone was too hard…4 star ⭐️ was given for its variety in store with all the ice cream flavors and candies and popularity, opening til 11PM when most other stores close at 9PM.A fun place to try Bar Harbor.

Love...love...love this place. Every time I visit Bar Harbor its always one of my first stops. They have so many amazing flavors to choose from. The service is always great. I can’t believe how busy it gets and the employees never rush you. They want you to try before you buy and they are always wearing a smile. I always get ice cream but I’m certain the chocolate and other sweet treats are just as good.

When in Maine, you gotta try the lobster ice cream! It’s not for everyone, but worth a try in a kiddie size. So many delicious ice cream, chocolate and fudge options.Food allergies clearly labeled in front of each flavor. They also have vegan and gluten free waffle clones!Staff was very friendly.

My wife and I went here while on our honeymoon in Maine. Old fashioned style candy and ice cream shop with tons of different flavors and varieties of ice cream, fudge, and salt water taffy. Salt water taffy is my favorite candy, so we bought some here, and it was delicious. Best taffy I have had. We also liked the old fashioned style of this shop.

This place has ruined blueberry ice cream for me, the blueberry swirl was incredibly yummy and is only made here! There are so many flavors it can be overwhelming, but the counter staff were mostly patient and helpful with our order. We had the gluten free cone with the blueberry swirl and orange sorbet. Even the pup enjoyed both flavors! Worth the stop and the wait if you’re in Bar Harbor or visiting Acadia National Park.

An excellent chocolate shop and candy store with some of everything you could hope for. Their selection of fudge, truffles, candy and ice cream is extensive and flavors for every kind of taste. We settled on some fudge and chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries and all were excellent. My only regret is not stopping back again for more as there were so many different thing to try.

Ice cream review only. Totally fine.Macadamia IC is full of macadamias! Coffee IC is yummy.Lobster IC is in name only. It seems more daring to order it. And is. When you have 30 flavors you can afford to make a truly weird memorable one in small quantities. But a blind tasting wouldn’t lead me to the sea.Waffle cones are coated with a food release spray that adds a greasy, malty, vaguely anise flavor. The cone may only be an IC vehicle but it should be anonymous or treat in itself.Definitely want to try the fudge and the kids enjoyed their Lego bricked ice cream cups.Kids cone was two scoops ? but ordering two scoops was just two scoops. Not sure it matters but sometimes you just want a taste without waste.

Yes, yes, and yes. Outstanding place to go after dinner (or anytime really) where ice cream flavors grow on trees and you don’t care how much it costs because it is so good. I had the K.B.G. flavor. K.G.B. stands for Kahlua, Grand Marnier, Bailey’s. I was shocked that I could taste all three flavors in the perfectly creamy iced dessert. While I’ve not had any other ice cream in town, I would highly recommend Ben & Bill’s. The staff was knowledgeable and the line mover super fast. Enjoy!

I love going here whenever I'm in the bar harbor area which is only once every few years. They have almost any kind of chocolate you could imagine. I believe they're also famous for their lobster ice cream but I have never had that. I love going in and getting an assortment of little truffles in a box to nibble throughout my vacation. Loads of flavors. Something for everybody. It's a bit of a cattle hurting feeling the way you have to go in and go clockwise and it feels a little disconnected from the employees who are behind the walls. But hey, if that works for them then cool.

I googled "best salt water taffy near me" and this place popped up!We came here before leaving the island. It brought back memories of walking into a store similar and picking up sweets before going home.Everyone is so nice. The taffy is delicious. I also got cotton candy (not pictured) and it was a favorite as well.The store is small and offers a lot. So 5 stars overall!

Great ice cream from Ben and Bills. The lobster ice cream was just so-so. I think it was the bottom of the barrel. But the chocolate peanut butter cookie dough was on point. The cones are quite big, word of caution.
