Amazing! Our meals here (plural!) were the best thing we ate during our trip to Mount Desert Island. HIGHLY recommended. While everything we tried was great, the star of the show is absolutely the lobster tacos. Get those! Simply fantastic and perhaps the most memorable culinary part of our trip to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. The house special lobster roll is also great. Both the house chips and (upgraded) fries are good. Then to finish it off, I'd highly recommend a slice of blueberry pie a la mode from the ice cream boat or an ice cream cone. The atmosphere here is also fantastic. I can't say enough great stuff about this little place and would highly recommend you check it out.Kid-friendliness: VERY kid-friendly

We saw this place on our way in it seems very busy and looks really fun. We stopped the next day and we couldn't be happier.Lobster is delicious, and chips are good. The dining room indoors is small, but the backyard is big. Have heaters if you are there for the foliage season. Also, there are different games to have a good time while waiting for your lobster. Fully recommended fun place for large families.

I had the hot lobster roll, and my partner had the house special roll. They were both delicious, however at current market price our entire meal of these two rolls, an upgrade to French fries for both of us and 2 blueberry lemonades cost $86 after tax but before tip. You would think that’s a steal, however there was not much lobster on the hot dog bun. Very delicious, and great service and atmosphere and dog friendly, however I feel like you’re better off finding another lobster roll place that gives you more meat.

DELICIOUS food. Relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff. We stopped in for a quick bite but ended up ordering much more than planned. Perfect for kids and adults. Plenty of picnic tables under shaded trees and strung bulb lighting. The kids took turns playing corn hole and ring toss while my husband and I listened to music. Highly recommend Bar Harbor Lobster Pound.

Excellent food. The lobster tacos were the best. Great atmosphere in the outside dining area. The drinks could have been kept colder in the outside trough. Definitely would eat here again when back in town. We would have loved some ice cream from the boat but there was no worker to be seen. Bathrooms were very clean and cutest design

Best. Nachos. Ever.We stopped in for lunch on a whim because of the cute ice cream boat outside. I'm so glad we did. The menu had so many tempting options, but settled on the lobster nachos.I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best nachos I've ever eaten. The nacho cheese was infused with lobster bisque, they had SO many chunks of perfectly cooked lobster, and it was topped with this amazing mango salsa.To make our experience better, the atmosphere and staff we're extremely friendly. Such a great place to sit outside, listen to music, and enjoy amazing food. Shout-out to Lora for chatting with us and making us Midwest folks feel at home! Talk about a high class, clean and very cool lobster spot!! Recently remodeled, this place is beautiful! It’s clean, it’s got activities for kids and for adults, and there’s a very well branded gift shop with a LIVE lobster tank.We ate lobster nachos, clam chowder and got some ice cream for the kids and wild blue margaritas for the mamas! ;) tossed some corn hole bags, enjoyed the lights and the woods and every part of this meal was just top notch! I would highly recommend adding Bar Harbor Lobster Pound to your list of can’t miss dining!Great portions, and overall one of the better values we’ve experienced in the area. 5 stars all the way around!Kid-friendliness: Big area to play and ring toss and corn hole bkards

Stopped here on our Bar Harbor trip and it was our favorite restaurant! Food was great, but the staff and atmosphere are what really make it. You can watch them cook/prepare the lobster right in front of you. The staff was all very friendly and interested in answering our questions about lobster. And they have a huge, beautiful outdoor seating area on the edge of the woods with outdoor games, lights and an ice cream shop made out of a boat! We liked it so much we went back again on our last day there. Highly recommend Bar Harbor Lobster Pound!

Love this place! The atmosphere feels like summer camp under the string lights and pines, with picnic benches and corn hole. It’s a great summer atmosphere! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We got a crab cake burger and lobster salad. Their homemade blueberry lemonade was also delicious. The staff was so friendly. We loved how this place was out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Clean, casual and relaxed. Stroller and wheelchair friendly. Their ice cream boat serves up quality ice cream as well! We will be back!Kid-friendliness: Easy to bring a stroller here, and lots of room to roam if needed!

What an amazing place! I’m so glad we stopped for lunch. I had the House Special with homemade chips and the homemade blueberry lemonade. The lobster roll was the best I had so far on our vacation. I loved the homemade chips and lemonade they both were so flavorful. I wish we stopped on our first day not our last day. We had fun playing corn hole and the music was great. All the employees were so friendly especially Emma. She was a lot of fun. If it hadn’t been for hurricane Lee we would have been back. Definitely this will be our first stop next year.

Each lobster roll has 4 ounces of lobster meat and has a claw! We tried each of the 3 lobster rolls. The gift shop and indoor dining area are connected. Indoor dining area had 6 tables for 4 people and a table for 5 people. Outdoor dining area has a lot of picnic tables surrounded by a wooded area. There was live music when we were there on Sunday. There is an ice cream boat on the premises! Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

We found this place by accident and so glad we did. The food was great, the staff super friendly - thanks Laura - and the live music was an added bonus. We had the chowder, 2 lobster dinners and blueberry pie ala mode. As a native Long Islander, I’ve grown up eating lobster and these were some of the best I’ve ever had. Super sweet. We plan on going back tonight to end our stay in Maine on a high note.An update….it was so good the first time, we went back and had a second meal. This time we had the lobster rolls. Best we had in Bar Harbor by far. I also want to than Laura for remembering us from the night before and making us feel at home.

What a little gem we found. The experience we had when we stopped at Bar Harbor Lobster Pound was fantastic! The entire setup was spot on and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience while there. It’s also great to find a restaurant like this that is so clean. We ordered the Lobster Dinners and wasn’t disappointed. The homemade chips and coleslaw was exceptional and unexpected. Don’t forget the ice cream while visiting 😎Parking: Nice to have enough parking and not have to pay.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for the kiddos to play and enjoy the outdoors.

Best birthday lunch EVER!! Oh my goodness the House Special Lobster Roll was absolutely amazing. Love the homemade chips, I wonder what kind of seasoning they put on those. Yummm and then, we split the Maine blueberry pie warmed up with the Maine blueberry ice cream. OMG, that was fantastic. They also have great employees. The two guys steaming the lobsters showed us how it’s done and we got to hold a lobster . Thank you all for great birthday memories

BEST LOBSTER ROLL OF MY LIFE!!! The house special with the aioli and fresh squeezed lemon is to die for. Get it and I promise you won’t be disappointed. The fries are seasoned so well you don’t even need ketchup. They have such a fun outdoor seating vibe with corn hole and music playing. We were too full for their ice cream but we will be back!

Great setup, great operation, friendly staff. This place is not downtown, but always had a crowd when passing and drew us in. It was less than 5 minutes from the cottage we were staying in, had ample parking and a smooth system of ordering with table delivery.We ate quite a bit from this menu, drank a lot of beer out of the galvanized tub, hung out at one of the many picnic tables with 4 adults & 1 puppy, and practiced some putts at the disc golf area. There were 2 cornhole setups and an on-site Ice Cream Boat serving local ice cream.This was a great find...Stop in if you're in area and get the lobster nachos!!Parking: Plenty of space even when busy, well lit lot.Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly and lots of activities outside to keep kids busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Some nice ramps out front and looks like ample space inside. The majority of the outdoor space is mulched and may not be suitable for all wheelchairs.

My family and I had a wonderful dinner tonight! We had the lobster and fish tacos; both were incredible!We loved being able to eat while our kids played. The outdoor space was beautiful with string light ambiance. We appreciated it was away from the parking area with our young kids.The gift shop area had wonderful art and products from local farms and artisans.Kid-friendliness: The ice cream boat is so unique and a great attraction!

Wonderful lunch visit after hiking in the park. Lobster tacos and House Special lobster roll were out of this world. To make things better, we had the wild blueberry ice cream for dessert. Atmosphere, service and food were so impeccable we plan to come back for dinner! Amazing food away from the crowds of downtown 10 out of 10 for me!

My partner and I both had lobster rolls, I had the hot regular. He had the house special. Both were very good. However, my preference was the hot regular Rall. They have a wide selection of drinks however, they were not very cold. That was a little disappointing. The price of lobster is what it is. However, I felt that there is a lot of lobster meat on the rules so the price of the role and the amount of lobster was great value. However, the four dollar add-on for coleslaw was a complete rip off. First the coleslaw was not very good and second the cup it was served in, was not much bigger than the butter cup, totally ridiculous price for four dollars for coleslaw. Overall, I would recommend except by the coleslaw and I would return.

Great service with very friendly and helpful staff who welcome you straight in!This is just over a week old but has a lovely ambience with both indoor and outdoor seating and you see the lobsters caught that day as soon as you step in!Their bisque is amazing with a tomato base.I also really liked their lobster tacos with mango salsa and garlic aioli.Finish your experience with an ice cream boat right outside 😁😁

Bar Harbor Lobster Pound offers a full menu of seafood themed offerings with an indoor/outdoor style dining. You order at a window and then they have picnic tables outback surrounded by a few yards games such as the ring on the hook and cornhole. Adjacent to the Lobster Pound is the ice cream boat that serves only ice cream. Food was good and if the day isn't too hot, it's nice to sit outside. Inside you can also purchase some merch and live lobsters to go.

Best Lobster in our trip to Maine, clam chowder was very good. Hamburger & chips excellent. Canned local beer is available.Ice cream compliments the menu, first class.Don’t hesitate to stop for an excellent meal.
