Very good Maine lobster. I’ve tried their dinner combo that comes with muscles, clam chowder, corn, and a dessert. Next time I come, I’d recommend getting the twin lobsters. Maine lobsters are just amazing and sweet. This is a great pit stop if you want to get lobster before head to bar harbor center.Service was great. Spacious with parking Nice view of the waterfront. I would come back here when I visit Maine again.

Nice very casual feeling place, with a friendly vibe. I ordered a whole lobster with coleslaw for the first time, and it was pretty good. Tasted really fresh. Thought it was cute and helpful that they included instructions and a bib to wear as you tore apart your lobster. And the blueberry soda and blueberry cake I got was really good too. Definitely worth dessert and a drink. It was cute and nice to see the staff were really kind about helping me and everyone else who's first time it was with their lobsters. They were very patient and friendly.

The food was great but the atmosphere was definitely the best part of it. The service was very friendly even though we had 4 guys show up late for dinner. They had no problem with doing multiple checks and serving multiple drinks. Everyone loved their food and the blueberry cake was a great finish to it all!! If I'm ever back in Maine I will definitely be visiting here again!Kid-friendliness: There were multiple families with kids and they were all having a good time.Wheelchair accessibility: The deck had a ramp that wheelchairs can access.

Casual atmosphere, friendly service and good food. The lobster bake is messy but fun and yummy. They are well-prepared by providing instructions, a bib, a shell cracker and tiny fork, and a bowl for the shell parts and inedible stuff. The lobster bisque and lobster roll (served cold) were both very good. You get a bit less meat with the roll versus the actual lobster, but much easier to eat!

I highly recommend Bar Harbor Lobster Bakes as a venue for any event or celebration. I chose this location for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding rehearsal dinner. The view overlooking the bay was breathtaking and the lobster dinner was delicious. Heather Tunison, one of the owners and the contact person, promptly answered my emails, no matter how frequent and detailed my questions were! Her servers set up the table decorations which was a huge help. Service was prompt, and the staff was gracious. The evening spent at Bar Harbor Lobster Bakes was everything I hoped it would be. Thank you, Heather, for creating and hosting such a wonderful event and memory!

Fun picnic like atmosphere. We were a large group and the server was excellent. The lobster Mac and cheese had nice flavor but the pasta was mushy, overcooked. The lobster bisque was also very very good but served luke warm. I let it go since we were such a large group, overall I recommend it!

Found this place after a day of hiking etc. places in Bar Harbor were 90+ minutes out - 10 minute drive to food greatness.I will admit, as one looks for crowds at restaurants to judge new places (judge a book by the parking lot cover) Wrong move!Turns out, new ownership June 2022. So I was treated to a wonderful experience I had not imagined.The blueberry pie was the best pie I’ve had as long as I can remember (we are talking decades of pie eating). Had the lobster bake which was simply delicious. The chowder was the perfect kick-off.The place was exceptionally clean, staff friendly and responsive.Capped the night off with Espresso Martini.I will be back … to see you there.

I can easily see why this is one of the local favorites. We went as part of a group from the cruise ship. There were about 45 of us. We were warmly greeted and seated at long tables with a well supplied bar. Lobsters were served with fresh corn on cob, a potato and rolls. The ladies were more than willing to help shell your lobster. The desert was a homemade blueberry cake.

Grand re-opening today. Let’s start off with the view, wow! Overlooking the amazing Frenchman’s bay in Hulls Cove.For fox I had the most awesome citrus/herb grilled chicken sandwich with coleslaw. I also had the roasted corn and contija Salad with a Cilantro Citrus dressing. Staff were welcoming and friendly too. Will be back for sure!

We had several lobster meals. Two of us had lobster rolls and they were good.The The downeast lobster bake was good. Not a huge fan of the muscles but they were okay. The lobster was good with butter. The nachos were tasty.

The view from this restaurant can’t be beat. Beach and waterfront views while eating a traditional Downeast lobster bake. What else could you ask for while on vacation in Bar Harbor? The food was great as was the service. Would definitely recommend it!

This is a simply amazing place in every single way. 5 stars would be an understatement. Every single dish was one of the best variations of the dish I have ever had, and somehow, my group of 5's bill came out relatively cheap for the portions. I got a hot dog, Mac and cheese, and a down East lobster roll. The Mac and cheese was great, the hot dog was the most flavorful I have ever had, and the lobster roll was fresh and delicious. My friend also got the $35 twin lobster dish, which was 2 pounds of lobster! They gave him a bib that made him look 10 years younger, a lobster fork/pick, a claw crusher 3000, and even a guide on how to eat a lobster! There was also a big ol' bowl for the shells. I tried some of it, and it was great! And, I haven't even talked about dessert. We got 2 blueberry pies and a blueberry cake, all a la mode. The pies were amazing, the cake was like coffee cake but with blueberries(delicious), and the ice cream was plentiful and delicious. Also, our waitress was very kind and made sure the meal was great, cracking jokes, loving her job, and giving opinions and information on the food. I would highly recommend every dish, and this is a great place to go.Vegetarian options: They have a black bean burger, but nothing else that I saw.Parking: They have a large parking lot next to the restaurant and plenty of street parking nearby if needed.Kid-friendliness: They have a hot dog, grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, and some huge burgers, but no chicken tenders or sliders.
