They have treated numerous ear infections , diabetes , pancreatitis, seizures as well as providing well care office visits. I take both of my cats to Acadia Vet for regular check-ups etc. and have always been very pleased.The staff members are all professional and, more importantly, kind and patient (both with the boys and with me!) When the unfortunate time came for Lou to have surgery for bladder stones, Dr. Fine and the crew were wonderful throughout the procedure and the follow-up. Lou did not enjoy wearing his cone but more than a year later he is happy and healthy. Thank you to Acadia Vet for taking such good care of our furry friends 🙂

I've been going to this vet for years and have always been happy. This time, I called bc my dog has an ear infection. It took a week to get an appointment and the desk staff were completely unhelpful. When I finally got an appointment and was ten minutes late because I also have a business that takes my time and attention, the staff charged me $50 for being late. There was no mention at the time of booking the appointment that being late would result in such a charge. No warning, no flexibility. Really an unhappy experience there. I will not be going back.

We have been going to Acadia Vet for over 30 years. They take such good care of all of our animals and I have never been disappointed by any care. Most recently I showed up with my two dogs at the wrong appt time (4 hours early) and they made room for us, so we wouldn’t have to return home and come back later. Such amazing customer service. They send us all the necessary reminders to keep up on all my pets needs.

We adopted Sapphire from the SPCA in Trenton about one year ago. She is a huge part of our family! Last fall she started to lose weight and her activity level delined. We took her to The Acadia Veterinary Hospital, where they quickly diagnosed an immunity problem. Every single time my cats or dogs have gotten sick or injured, he’s been able to make space for us to bring them in the same day. Some vets can make you feel rushed or not heard, but Dr Fine has never made us feel like that and always listens to our concerns.

This place. Wow. Poor pup had her first encounter with a porcupine and brought her here. Back home she doesn’t like her vet. She gets all nervous when she goes in, has to be sedated beforehand, etc. She walked in here like she owned the place, and let the staff sedate her without issue so they could pull the quills. I thought she was just nervous of the vet in general, but apparently here they are so dog friendly she just picked it right up.

We were on vacation and one of our pups got sick all of a sudden. We called around to several vets and Acadia was the only one that would see us. Shelby got a very thorough exam from a caring staff and Dr. Fine. He was given meds to make him comfortable because it wasn't good news. Shelby passed in our motorhome that night. We took Shelby back and they took care of his cremation. Dr. Fine called with his condolences which was very thoughtful since we were not his regular patient but just passing through on vacation. I highly recommend this compassionate vet.

Quick intake for my scheduled appt. The vet checked my dog out, paying attention to his past history and recommended a reasonable treatment plan based on that past history....I didn't feel we were starting from square one. Staff was all very friendly and professional.

We have been taking our pup Darwin since he was 10 weeks old (currently ~2y) to Acadia Veterinary Hospital and they have been great! Darwin is our first dog and we have relied on their advice from the start. They are very accommodating, we have called the office many times to just ask questions and made many last minute appointments when Darwin wasn't feeling great. They always schedule ahead for vaccinations so we don't miss any and are flexible in rescheduling when things come up. Even when they faced staff shortages due to the pandemic, they were responsive and communicative. Thanks to the gentle, loving handling of the technicians and the veterinarians in Acadia Veterinary Hospital, Darwin is not scared to go to the vet and loves the attention he gets whenever we visit.

We started using Acadia Vet when we moved to MDI. Our first visit was and emergency when our dog ruptured his spleen and they took us in immediately even though we were not a previous client. They treat our animals as if they are their own and I can not say enough about the entire staff. Everyone I have spoke to either in person or on the phone is always pleasant and professional. Acadia Veterinary Hospital was acquired by VetCor on December 27, 2018. While we have received decent care and have met with very caring staff for the 15 years we have been using Acadia Vets, before and after the acquisition, the current management and some office help lack compassion, ethics and professionalism. Clearly the current manager lacks customer service experience and an understanding of policy in a service industry. While inconvenient and difficult it is understandable, with a labor shortage, that hours are cut back to three days a week. The poor treatment by staff, a lack of responsiveness from management and withholding of a prescription for our cats food is completely unethical and unprincipled. Acadia Vet is no longer the small hometown vet it once was. I hope for the sake of our community and for the staff that does have the care of our pets in the forefront that the difficulties caused by uncaring and ill-equipped management are resolved.
