Lovely bakery and coffee shop tucked in a house setting in the heart of the bar harbor. Supports a very rustic ambiance and gives very easy and chill vibes. Also, they offer amazing custom cakes with a day or two heads up. In terms of coffee offerings, they keep it simple with a few basic ones and have a couple of different flavors. I like their Pain Au Chocolate with and without the raspberry filling and their blueberry muffin.

The best breakfast sandwich, blueberry scone & fresh brewed iced tea I've ever had!I was lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful afternoon snack at one of the outdoor tables. I ordered the "Western style" egg and cheese with turkey sausage on one of their homemade bagels. It was incredible! I love when a place offers alternatives to pork sausage. They have both vegan and turkey sausage.I had to have something blueberry and noticed that they only had one of their scones left. So I tried that as well... Wow! It was so delicious!!! Their fresh brewed iced tea was seriously good too!We had to take a few more baked goods back to our Airbnb. All of which were yummy. A must stop location when you're visiting Bar Harbor...

The BEST breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! Everything was so fresh. I got egg, provolone cheese, veggie sausage, & tomato on an everything bagel. Heavenly. And I really appreciate the veg meat option! They have lots of vegetarian options actually. Also best espresso in town. I love A Slice of Eden sooo much! :)

Ideal place for quick breakfast. Opens early, which is perfect after sunrise at cadillac mountain. Coffee was delicious and the bagels were divine. Very cute!

I heard about this place and drove an hour and a half to stop in and also see another store on the same street. I bought some muffins, bagels and the best vegetarian or vegan sandwich I have ever had. Will definitely stop in again if I am in the area.To the owners if you make the bread for this sandwich I would definitely come back and buy some.

Stopped for a "To Go" breakfast on our way to Sand Beach. Kiddo loved his plain bagel with egg and bacon it was gone before we even got to the Acadia entrance. I had a roasted garlic bagel with egg, pork sausage and vegan cream cheese. It was good, bagel was slightly doughy, but in general two good breakfast sandwiches. Also had an iced dirty chai and that was delicious.

Yum! Coffee (hot and iced) was amazing. Had bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagels. Bagels were good for the area (but honestly, nothing compares to a NY bagel). Also had a slice of blueberry lavender cake (couldn't taste the lavender) that was delicious. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Overall, a great breakfast!

We ordered a celebration cake from A Slice of Eden for a 50th anniversary party and it was fabulous. After chatting with Charity, we decided two quarter sheet cakes would be perfect for our 60 guests. One half of the cake was chocolate with chocolate raspberry mousse filling and the other was blueberry lemon with maine blueberry custard filling. The whole thing was iced with vanilla buttercream. They did a beautiful job and both cakes were light and delicious. I would definitely order again and can’t recommend them enough.

Came by for a breakfast sandwich before my hike. Got a veggie sausage, egg and cheese on everything bagel. Very good bagel and super fresh. Very filling and fueled me for my adventures.

There are not enough words to express how amazing A Slice of Eden was to me and for our small elopement ceremony. We had a short timeframe to plan our wedding (3-4 months), and it was nearly impossible to even have a baker respond to my inquiries. The owners had replied within 48-72h to my online inquiry and had no issues accommodating my requests - they even had so many options for sizing, filling, cake, icing. I sent a picture of a previous birch tree cake they did, and the final product was above and beyond what I even imagined. The cake was the hit of our small reception dinner (people were lined up to take pictures). Words can’t say thank you enough to the owners and staff who worked so hard to make this part of our wedding PERFECT!!!

Grabbed breakfast and pastries. They were fantastic. Love that this place was open early at 6:00 am. The maple Chai is excellent. I'll be back for more.

The breakfast sandwiches and lattes were delicious and the prices were so reasonable! Cheaper and WAY better than Starbucks. The place was cute and close to the Bar island trail. We had to come back later for dessert!

We got donuts from them for our wedding and they were AMAZING!!!!! They were gone in 2 seconds and all our guests couldn't stop raving about them. They were also so sweet on the phone and the pick up was super easy. Highly recommend!!

Perfect place to stop for a quick bite in Bar Harbor. So nice that they're open in the winter time too! We got the vegetarian and inside out (a bagle grilled cheese) sandwiches. I'm glad we shared because both were delicious. We'll be back here for sure.

Staff is unfriendly. Their coffee was warm far from hot and when mentioned to them they were rude and they are all miserable towardscustomers something is wrong they become more miserable Towards you. I got Chai myself and it tasted water down and it was a hot chai. Food was also cold by the time we got it but I will say tasted good.

The end of the tourist season and their friendly has been sucked dry. It’s 1:02 pm, 58 minutes before closing time, and the kitchen is closed; tough…no bagel for me. So I try the pastries; the chocolate croissant is bready with a tiny slab of cold, unmelted chocolate…sad. The bear claw tastes a day old. The array of coffee containers, all empty but one…uninspiring. The outside front garden is inviting, a great location to google where a good bakery might be.

Nice bakery with beautiful outdoor seating. Picked up a cake and it was delicious. It's on the main street but further away from very crowded areas so it is wasier to find parking .

The name says it all!Their croissants, bagels and rugelach are up there with the best.Come check out their breakfast sandwiches which are made to order(pretty quickly); they're simple but fresh through and throughThere's some great local Maine coffee served here daily.Expect friendly service here because that's all you'll get.Their seemingly local and well-curated decor only adds to the charm they have here.Fun fact- The town of Bar Harbor was first incorporated in 1796, so the town is only 20 years younger than our country. The original name of the town was Eden, for obvious reasons. Locals still sometimes refer to Bar Harbor as Eden and that's where this little cafe obtained it's name. Sweet, dude!Five stars all day.

I can't praise A Slice of Eden enough! We requested a simple two tier wedding cake and it was stunning! Not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious! We ordered a lemon blueberry cake with buttercream icing. We highly recommend this bakery!

I dunno, man. I just can't get over how little cream cheese they put on my bagel. Bagel was good, though. Had a flavorful iced chai. Great dog-friendly patio!

We enjoyed our coffee and egg sandwiches at this small coffee shop on the way to the whale watch. The whale watch was canceled so we were glad that the breakfast wasn’t a disappointment! I had a bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese sandwich on gluten free bread and my husband got the same on a croissant. The gluten free bread was very good and didn’t fall apart in my hands as some others I’ve tried and they make all their baked goods from scratch. They do make a point to state that they can’t guarantee that all gluten free baked goods are 100% gluten free so it’s important to speak with them if you have an allergy. Seating is limited but there are a few stools inside and two benches outside. Would highly recommend.

We’ve been here for breakfast twice this week (here on vacation). It’s charming! And I so appreciate the vegan options!!! I had a delicious olive bagel both days with vegan cream cheese - and the bagel was outrageously good!!!!! Great Pumpkin Spice Latte as well. Friendly staff, and the customers were kind too, we even had a couple invite us to take half their table when there was nowhere to sit. Highly recommend! ☕️

Ordered a custom cake for a birthday party and it was amazing! The decorations came out exactly like I wanted with the combination of photos that I sent. The flavors of the cake were perfect. Highly recommend!

We had their Pain Au Chocolat pastries as well as a blueberry muffin and lemon bar! I know I shouldn't be surprised as this is the blueberry Hub of the world, but that was the best blueberry muffin I've ever had! The lemon bar was also exquisite and I'm not even a huge fan of lemon. Everything just melts in your mouth!

Went to pick up a wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding. We called the order in weeks ago....and sure enough, they didn't have the order. What establishment doesn't have a WEDDING ORDER on record after calling and ordering? Epic fail..Terrible business. I'd give a zero star if I could

Good bagels and good coffee, and the only place right downtown that’s open early in the season. Very pleasant relaxed atmosphere with comfortable outdoor seating. We walked with our toddler from our hotel to Eden every morning we stayed in Bar Harbor!

Very small coffee shop that serves pastries and sandwiches. The coffee and chai here were good. Very limited seating available inside.

Great place to fuel up for a day in Acadia. We stopped in every day to grab coffee, breakfast and some sandwiches for lunch in the park.Their bread puddings are the best I've ever had. Amazingly creamy, smooth custard base held together by a perfectly moist yet dense body. The cream puff and lemon bar were also incredible.Breakfast sandwiches with homemade bagels and deli sandwiches with homemade ciabatta roubded out the whole experience. On top of all that, the shop itself is super cozy with a dining room full of cool kitchen antiques and artifacts. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.Highly recommend to anyone spending time in Bar Harbor or Acadia.
