This place is awesome. The owner at the front desk was bubbly, personable, and very attentive to the needs of the people that stop by. You can tell he really loves what he does and the enthusiasm is contagious. I found a really nice perfume, small notepad, and a set of pens for myself here. Things are a little on the pricey side, but I don’t mind because it’s supporting a small business and it was worth it in terms of the quality of items I bought. Next time I’m in Bar Harbor, I’ll be sure to stop here again. :-)

The cutest shop ever!!! The owner is so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend stopping in to see what they have. Lots of unique gifts that you wouldn’t find at the typical shops in town. Make this a stop when you’re in town!

This is a must stop shop while in Bar Harbor. The usual t shirts and magnets, you ask? No. Just the opposite. There is a very unique feel and vibe to this store that is like nothing else in the area. There are works by various local artists that are very impressive. If you're looking to pick up a souvenir from your trip and want more than the usual "hey, I was here" mug, this is the place to go. The owners are very personable and will give you the details on the artists that created the pieces. So glad my wife and I stopped in!

I come to bar harbor every year during my vacation to searsport. I came across this shop many years ago when I was on the search for a Lokai bracelet and they were the only shop that had them. Ever since then I've been revisiting this shop time and time again. The owners are such amazingly kind people and always have the best selection of the most one of a kind and unique pieces from art to jewelry you will not find what they have anywhere else. I also love their new location absolutely adorable location and house. I was actually surprised this year by the fact that jolene remembered me after almost 4 years not visiting because of covid. I'd also love to thank her for her smart innovation of bandaid that we made when my finger decided to crack lol. So many years and so many memories can't wait to visit again next year!!

Absolutely worth a stop if you are in Bar Harbor! You will certainly find a unique gift and maybe even leave with a little something for yourself. They make it a point to support artists and their creativity, which is a huge plus! The shop owners are charming and easy to chat with. The new space is spectacular, cant wait to see it when it's done!

What a unique and wonderful store! I tried to go there only once, but somehow wound up there the next day as well. One of a kind items that are truly pieces of art. Nothing else like it is being sold in any of the other Bar Harbor shops. To top it all off, the owners are lovely. Knowledgeable about all the art and artists and seem like genuinely caring people.

They had a lot of really neat stuff curated from local and non-local artists, and they were very knowledgeable about their stock. I really enjoyed the space and what they had to offer, and I'd recommend it to any tourists passing through!

My favorite place by far in Bar Harbor. The owner and his son are always friendly, the shop always has such perfectly curated collections for purchase. It's so perfectly whimsical! There's a bit of something for pretty much everyone.My favorite surprise came last year, when I discovered that they now have traveler's notebooks, refills, and now fountain pens and inks to pair with them!I look forward to stopping in every year!

I can't say enough about the owners and merchandise. We bought three awesome pieces of artwork (to start our collection) and we hung them as soon as we got back from our trip because we were so excited! The owner was filled with information about everything we looked at in the store. It's filled with things for everyone and not just the normal things you find in every store. We will be back and we will shop online. So excited to have found this place!

Not to be missed! Downtown Bar Harbor is lovely all around, but A Little Mad is particularly worth a stop. It’s eclectic, high quality and just a pleasure to stroll around in. We were in the middle of a two week road trip and not expecting to have to travel carefully with art the rest of the way, but that’s exactly what happened. A piece from their display of The Hidden World of Eloise inexplicably made me emotional. A moment later when my husband walked over and had the same reaction, it was clear we needed to have it. The owners were inviting and informative. Their gallery was truly a highlight of our trip.

Please be sure to make this a stop when you are in Bar Harbor. It is a nice store located just inside from the main street. You will find alot of amazing artwork from international artists, jewelry and even lotions and perfumes/colognes. While there my friend and I had a great conversation with the owners Patrick and Jolene.

I saw a sign for this shop and had to check it out based on the name alone. Turned out to be a gem of a place. Such a great variety of things to look at and buy and while I had gone in with the intention of picking up something for family, well I didn't. I splurged on myself instead. While walking through and talking to the owners who were more than personable and fun I saw fountain pen ink and travelers notebooks. Then Patrick showed me a fountain pen and it was on. So unexpected. Best shop I visited and certainly not typical. Love the TWSBI, Patrick!

Me wife and I have been coming to Accadia for a bit now. The past 3 years she and I have come into this little store. The same woman we see happens to be the owner and cool to find out her husband created the astrology cards their through his research. We came across 3 skulls. One rose quartz, pyrite, and lava. We left I felt one was calling to me, so I came back and upon purchasing the Pyrite she said these stones have a way of knowing what we need due to our energy. I wasn't sold until she said what my particular stone meant. We look forward to seeing you again Ma'am with hopes this brings some healing

I contacted the shop to find out what the holiday hrs are followed the instructions by phone message . Nothing for hrs listed on Facebook , or other website , also never got a return phone call . I took a chance drove 2 hrs to the shop , sign in window stayed open at 10, all delivery please drop off at other shop across the plaza . ( have photos of websites and signs in window) Shop never opened, other shop owner stayed they had no way to contact , but receive there packages , then stated, there closed for the season . I was looking for a very specific item they sell for another artist . I shopped there 2 x’s over the summer as well as bring in customers who also made a purchase .. I would have been grateful for a call back that could have led to a good conversation. If I was an artist in her shop I would be a little concerned that my product is not being sold or advertised for future sales ..

Great place to find the unique and strange, last time I was in they seemed to be changing into more of a art shop but I hope they can keep the candy and smaller stuff that makes it such a unique place. Over all worth the stop.
