My wife and I ate here for breakfast. We were quickly seated but the waitress took a long time to show up at the table. We were hoping for a quick breakfast but the waitress kept disappearing for extended periods of time. The food was tasty but not notable. I ordered the mushroom, bacon, and cheese omelette while my wife got the breakfast burrito.Nearby activities: Close to downtown bar harborSafety: On a busy room but a safe restaurantWalkability: Walkable from downtown bar harbor. However at the end of the road so out of the wayFood & drinks: Breakfast food and drinks available at the restaurant.

Stopped here for brunch before a whole day of hiking. It was busy, yet we were seated immediately. I have to highlight their house-made hot sauce & biscuit, they were extremely delicious. Eggs cooked to perfection & scrumptious pancakes. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for sustenance before a day of hiking. Servers were attentive & even gave us some recommendations on good trails at Acadia.

Great breakfast! Cozy atmosphere and very friendly servers. I had the raspberry, almond pancakes and my husband had the lobster eggs benedict. I will choose something eggy as well next time. Just because the pancakes were too big of a portion and too sweet for me personally. Also, not too expensive. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bar Harbor!

We went to one of the popular places in Maine for breakfast. It was Thursday morning around 9am and it was already busy, but there was no waiting time. The place has an old-style look, not fancy at all.The food is okay, with a lot of fried options. There are not many healthy options. The staff tries their best to accommodate, but it takes some time to get your order. We waited about 30 minutes for our food.

Came for breakfast the server was friendly and attentive. The menu did not indicate what items were available and which one weren’t (all 3 things my husband tried to order were not available). They also had no hot coffee. These things were frustrating and I would recommend having a winter menu to reduce frustration when trying to order. The cherry on top was this quote from a server “just so you know there’s a nail sticking out under your table, so just be careful.”

Easily one of the best breakfast spots in Bar Harbor! The staff were so welcoming and sweet, and the food was delicious. We tried the breakfast sandwich on a kaiser roll and the smoked trout omelette. Both dishes were really flavorful and cooked well. I also got the Milky Way latte (chocolate and caramel) and it was perfectly balanced - not too sweet! If you try one breakfast place in Bar Harbor - 2 Cats is the place to go!

mugsWe had breakfast on 12/31/23. My wife and I expected something speciaL, and that's what we got. The server, Robyn, was gracious and attentive, refilling our coffee mugs twice without being asked. I had an omelet with mushrooms, Boursin and chives, a combination I strongly recommend. My wife ordered the vegetarian Eggs Benedict, which, she said, was far better than ordinary Both orders came with home fries (freshly made and not greasy) and a large biscuit with butter on the side.

Arrived around 9am on a Monday in October and there was about a 20 min wait. Once seated wait staff was fairly attentive and provided the appropriate amount of service. The auxiliary staff were super friendly and helpful. We ordered the Special Egg Benedict and an order of scrabble eggs. The salmon on the Egg Benedict was somewhat fishy tasting while everything else was adequate. A decent place for breakfast if you’re in the area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here though.Walkability: We were able to walk to this location from our hotel.

Even though the reviews said the service was not great we had a good experience, we were served quickly and the waitress was very nice. The food was so good!! Ordered fresh orange juice and lobster omelet. Man was it good!!! They also give you a lot of food and their biscuit with strawberry butter was so delicious!! Definitely stop here for breakfast.

Overall, the food was good. Between three of us we had plain pancakes, specialty pancakes (the Elvis) and their house made granola with fruit and yogurt. The only miss was the bacon that my daughter got on the side. It was thick cut, which was nice, but a little underdone for her taste. On a very positive note they were extremely dog friendly, within outdoor seating available for well behaved dogs. Our server was good, but kitchen service was slow. We didn’t mind, as it was a. Ice morning for sitting around, but it would have been frustrating if we were in a hurry.

The food itself was decent but the service put a bad taste in my mouth, I probably would have enjoyed it more if we had a different serving experience. I had ordered a sweet tea and our waitress, Maddy, brought me an unsweetened tea. I had attempted to sweeten it with the sugar provided but their cane sugar was not mixing with the tea. I decided to send it back and get a water instead. She made a rude and very vocal remark about us sending it back and then still charged us for it! We will definitely get our breakfast somewhere else next time we're in Bar Harbor.

A very popular breakfast place in Bar Harbor! We tried to go one morning and the wait was too long, so we tried again a couple days later. The decor was cute - it's feels like a cozy house with little cat-themed art everywhere. They're famous for their biscuits, so don't skip those. We enjoyed them with strawberry butter. I also had a flawless mushroom and boursin omelet - not a flake of brown on the eggs. Portions are hefty!

Good breakfast, cute place. Many of their breakfast dishes come on biscuits or served with biscuits. Our table didn’t love them. They seemed really dry and like they had been left out. BUT everything else was very tasty. Service was great. We tried a “Catspaw” to go and would order this if I return. It’s like a cinnamon sugar muffin and it was delicious.

Did not stay at the Inn, we went for breakfast. If there was a wait I'd say skip it. I didn't enjoy my breakfast at all, it was cold. All of it. I was so disappointed. My husband and daughters food was hot and they loved it. So, I guess skip the poached eggs/eggs Benedict and you might be alright.

We came here after doing caddilac mountain because we had our pupAnd they were dog friendly outside. Nice pretty large patio area surrounded by lots flowers . Great staff and very attentive. The breakfast was very good my wife’s ordered a breakfast sandwich on homemade bread with “spicy” homefries they weren’t spicy at all but they were good they did have a nice house labeled hot sauce which was very good . I ordered the homemade hash it was delicious. It came with a house made biscuit with strawberry butter so tasty! We didn’t check out inside but it looked like a cool old inn coffee was also good!

Food was good. Service (Maddie) was awful. For whatever reason, she had an attitude anytime we asked her for something.I’ve worked in the service industry for 30 years, so I’m very courteous by nature when asking for something. So I have no idea what her issue was/is, but she probably needs to find a new line of works because working in service is NOT it.The restaurant itself, has an eclectic vibe (which I loved)The garden out front was a nice viewFood was good.Location was great and very convenientPlenty of (metered) parking.Would have been a much nicer experience had we not gotten the waitress we did

Really great place to eat. My girlfriend and I went here for lunch while visiting Acadia National Park. The service was nice, very friendly to us and our dog, which was allowed on the patio :) We got a "cat paw" which is like a cinnamon biscuit muffin thing and it was SO good I cannot believe it isn't more prominent on the menu (you can find it under sides trust me get it). My girlfriend got the summer scramble and loved it. I got the bacon, mushroom, and cheese omelet and I also loved it (you will see on the pic a half slice of cheese on the omelette. Don't worry there was a lot more inside the omlette too!). The highlight of the meal were the cat paw and the biscuit with strawberry butter. Very very delicious. the We both came VERY hungry and left satisfied but not painfully full. Very good portions for big Americans like us lol.

We did not stay at the hotel, but did have breakfast at the restaurant. More details about how much we enjoyed our meal below.Food & drinks: We really enjoyed our stop at 2 cats diner. Decided to go here, which is about 5 mins' drive from the shops/restaurants near the water due to the ease of parking and the appetizing food. There were 3 nice decks (one covered, 2 uncovered) and several smaller rooms inside the restaurant. The food took a little while, but no longer than most diners. Even though it was busy, there was no wait. Fortunately, we came about a week or two before the "season" officially opened. When our food arrived it disappeared quickly as it was delicious and we were quite hungry. Literally some of the best eggs I've had, the pancake was light and fluffy, and the biscuit with strawberry butter was a nice touch. Coffee was fresh and hit the spot. We had 2 adults and a baby in a high chair and they were able to accommodate us easily. Definitely glad we came here as our late breakfast provided us with all the fuel we needed for a several mile walk through Acadia.

The food was good. The pancakes were fluffy but had a very eggy taste. Being a vegetarian I could not eat it because of the taste. But otherwise it was a great place for brunch. The service was ok, the girl who took our order didn't understand English that well. My friend wanted to order a dish which had a side of spicy house fries. So while ordering my friend asked for a substitute for spicy fries, she gave him different options and he chose fresh fruits. But then she said that their fries are not spicy so you can try it. As she said that, my friend decided to go with the basic order with the side of fries instead of fresh fruits. But when the order arrived, we got our dishes along with extra fresh fruits and extra spicy fries. And when we said that it wasn't our order, she came and told us that you ordered it. So out of a good heart we kept the fresh fruits and paid for it.

Excellent breakfast place! Biscuits with the strawberry butter were so soft, crunchy, and flakey all at once! Such a delicate balance. My wife had blueberry pancakes which were made with local blueberries, and I had a bacon and mushroom omelette. Local and organic food! The server was fabulous. Great respite from the rain and fuel for our day of hiking in Acadia. Thank-you! Parking could have been better and kind of wish they had an option for electric vehicles.

The food was creative and tasty, especially the wood smoked trout omelette! The lobster omelette was fantastic as were the pancakes. The waiter greeted us with mugs and a coffee pot which we welcomed. Unfortunately, he never came back for refills, and he never brought the water we asked for, so we had to walk around to another part of the restaurant to find him. Sadly he got one of our orders wrong, so one of us had to wait while everyone else enjoyed their meals. Overall, the food was great but I'm not sure that I would return.
