High Prices compared to other stove stores. I recently was shopping for a Harman P43 pellet stove and contacted 5 different stores for prices. I found that all of them had the exact same price for the stove but varying prices for installation fees and materials. This location was much higher than the rest for these items. I showed them a quote from a nearby stove shop and they were willing to lower their price to match but I felt annoyed that they felt I was trying to pull one over on them. If I didn't have that qoute Ithey would have charged me almost $500 more than the other store. Needless to say I made my purchase elsewhere. Moral of this experience, always shop for the best price.

The staff at The Heating Lodge were very helpful over with a long-term project - installation of an infrared fireplace in a federal home whose fireplaces were long ago removed. (probably fell down, etc)Shout out to Hope who was so helpful on many occasions - and communicated consistently and politely over the course of the project.

We bought a house with a nice pellet stove but it needed to be cleaned and gone over before we felt comfortable firing it up. The guys from Heating Lodge got our stove into great shape. They thought us how to operate and clean it. They even arrived early (with warning) and worked efficiently. Our dog now has a new favorite spot.

Well, we weren’t buying a stove but visiting some of the staff. ☺️ The store though is in the process of being upgraded and the displays are looking amazing. A great place to shop for gas, wood or pellet stoves! Come on in and find your heat!

This team is the best. I had them do the impossible, which was to come out to an island and install an insert in a very tricky old house. Their attention to detail was impeccable and they got it all done perfectly in one day. They made it look easy and the roof penetration is water tight. I love my Regency i2500 FYI.

We stopped in to get some info and Hope was very helpful. We were able to schedule a time for Devon to come out and take measurements and what not for our quote. He let us know up front that we may not be able to get the pellet insert we wanted until the spring, but by luck there was one left on a shipment that came in the following week. We were able to get on the schedule for about a month out. Tyler came and did the install. Walked us through how to use the stove properly and we couldn’t be happier. They are a great group of people working over there. To see the two owners out in the field also says a lot about them. If you are looking for a stove of any kind give them a call!

Read the reviews before checking them out. So I was skeptical. Figured I’d see for myself. Went into their store and the It took them a little while to get to me, they were extremely busy, but communicated that as soon as they could they would get to me. Eventually someone walked me through all my questions. We ended up purchasing a stove through them and also went ahead and had them install it. The staff came out and from the time they arrived until the time they left they were very easy to work with and did not leave a mess or any damage as I had read in other reviews. So, my take away - I would highly recommend this company and felt they did an outstanding job from start to finish. Would I have liked things sooner, sure. But it’s hard to get anything quick these days. I appreciate your staff and their time.

The sales and service department are fantastic! We LOVE our new three sided glass gas stove. It looks beautiful, we have had multiple comments on it in just a few days time from friends and family. Not only is it an amazing addition to our living room it is also functional and creates ample warmth. Thanks again to the amazing team at The Heating Lodge!

Ableism. Mockery. Derision.Owner: I understand the average sales person doesn’t know how to deal with customers on the spectrum. To her credit, Hope attempted to adjust her communication style once I pointed out the reasons for our miscommunication.I gave your business a one-star review for a different reason: Hope laughed at me twice for not understanding her (once before I told her I had ADD and once after). I do not tolerate any type of ablest mockery, and neither should you.

It is pretty rare that I go out of my way to write a review, but I am pretty frustrated with this company. I have used The Heating Lodge for a few years (they installed my pellet stove and have cleaned it the past few years). The first year was fine, but it seems to be going downhill fast. It is pretty common in my experience with this company that the technicians are either late showing up for a scheduled service or don't show up at all on the date scheduled. This year, specifically, I called The Heating Lodge on October 3rd to schedule a pellet stove cleaning. The earliest I was told that this could be done was Wednesday November 9th. November 9th rolls around and no technician shows to service the pellet stove. No call and no show. Call the company on that date and left a voicemail with my name and number asking when the technician would be here. It is now November 18th and I have yet to be called back.With the: late arrivals, no shows, and other issues, I've had enough.

We purchased a pellet stove earlier this year. The process started by the them showing up for the initial chimney inspection without a ladder or flashlight. Instead, he inspected the chimney by shining his cellphone flashlight up from the bottom. After the stove was installed, we kept having sporadic problems with our thermostat. Anytime we would call the store, we would have to explain the story to the person answering the phone, who would then promise to talk to the manufacturer and call us back. We rarely ever received a call back. After we finally started asking for the same person, he came out to work on the thermostat. After about 3 months total, it was determined that the manufacturer didn't recommend the thermostat we were sold be used for our stove. They agreed to refund us the price of the thermostat but forgot to send out the refund check. After following up, we were promised the check was put in the mail yesterday. I understand that mechanical issues are out of the store's control but the customer service during this process has been horrible. I even expressed my frustrations on the phone to one of the owners to no avail.

Very unreliable... If zero Stars was an option that's what I would give them.They came out to fix the control board on my pellet stove. The guy that worked on it was "I believe, stoned"They fixed it and put a sticker on it crooked.2 weeks later it died again. After multiple phone calls and stopping in several times I had had enough. 5 months of not even being contacted back , no phone call or anything. I went to another company out of Oakland that came out two days later and fixed what they messed up. It cost me twice but it was worth it , I never have to go back to the Heating Lodge again.___________________________________Your poor attempt to make amends ,I find entertaining.. you know exactly who I am because you tried to contact me but I chose to ignore you like you ignored me for 5 months. If you're going to fail try to accept that it's your fault and not everybody else's..

The Heating Lodge was installing a wood stove in Aug 2022. Incurred thousands of dollars in damage to my home when they knocked into my chimney with their bucket lift - I have pictures and documents detailing such. They are now denying fault! It's been 2mo and haven't heard back from their insurance company that says "their policy doesn't cover damage to chimneys..."

I had a phenomenal experience with these guys. Although I did not receive a call back as quickly as I would have liked after my initial reach-out and voicemail, I had excellent service from the time they reconnected with me going forward. Scheduling was easy and I was able to get an appointment within a timely manner, even during the busy season. I even called an hour beforehand to change the time that the tech would be there and they were able to accommodate that. Their tech Dan is the primary reason I am giving a 5 star rating. This guy knew his stuff front to back and was able to communicate everything simply to myself who knows little about fireplaces and stoves. He went above and beyond to make sure that I knew exactly how everything worked and walked me through it so that I felt comfortable before he left. On top of being a seasoned guy in this industry, he is very nice and incredibly easy-going to converse with. On top of all this, their rates were good and cheaper than a couple other places I called. Definitely give these guys a call!

I bought an electric fireplace this year through the heating lodge. There are many pros that come with buying through this company: the staff that assists you, the fireplaces you can look at in the store, and how knowledgeable the staff is. I highly recommend purchasing through the heating lodge!

Wow! Unreliable! They came out to see my pellet stove (tall guy with ponytail - think he's the owner). He diagnosed the issues, then said he would be back to me with a quote. One week - called them, its coming. Second week, called them - we'll get it to you. Third week - Oh, the owner was on vacation - he'll get you the quote when he gets back. If I can't trust your work ethic, I can't trust your work. How is this place still in business?

I ordered a stove in October of 2021. It is now July 2022. It is yet to be installed. At the end of December 2021 they received the stove. In April 2022 they were out to install but the wrong parts were ordered. I have not seen or heard from them since. I called them at the start of June 2022 I was told the part was not in yet.

I was told on a Thursday that a tech would be out on my still under warranty stove on Friday between 2 & 3. At 5 o'clock still no service or call to my home. I called on Friday and was told Saturday at 11. I specifically asked if this was guaranteed and was told yes. At 2 o'clock I called and was told it would now be a week out. Loved them when they were McVety's.Edit:Added three more stars. After a conversation with the owner he will come out to repair my stove and I agreed to update my review. The owner, Devin, was personable and maybe we just got off on the wrong foot with employee scheduling.

Called and asked clerk to verify that they had a part, after being assured they did drove 40 miles to find out it was the wrong one! 2 weeks to order it, got it on Amazon 2 day shipping. Thanks for NOTHING!

Service tech visited my home and determined a part was needed for propane fireplace on 12\11\2018. We are still waiting for a call on the cost of the part. We have called twice and was told someone would get back to us. I know the part is available since I located it online. Will be going elsewhere to get my fireplace running again.

If you want soot all over your house, these are the folks for your annual pellet stove cleaning service. After tech left, found a layer of black soot over new leather couch, floors, rugs, walls, pool table, and anything else within 15 feet of stove. Very unhappy. No refund offered, but was offered help cleaning. (After seeing how they cleaned a stove, I didn’t want their assistance cleaning their “cleaning” mess). Days later still removing black soot from couch, rugs, etc. Horrible experience. Ruined items. Wish I would have never called the Heating Lodge.

11/13/18 I had service/maintenance call for my pellet stove. The guy’s came out...went over the stove with a fine tooth comb, and explained everything to me .They were personable, professional and apologetic that their shoes were wet......lol, the next morning I woke with a question about the stove.....called the store, spoke to Greg, also super professional and courteous....I asked my question and was told he would have to call Tyler (technician that serviced stove evening before)...no joke, 5 minutes later Greg responded with message from Tyler. (All was normal)Unbelievable customer service! I will with all certainty be a returning customer to The Heating Lodge.If ANYONE has questioned whether or not to go this route for heating, let me just say, you won’t be disappointed.These guy’s know what they’re doing!

They came on time... But... Cost me more for them to come and they didnt clean the glass or the stove.... They simply vaccuumed it out. I wont use their services again.
