Used to be I would choose Target over Walmart but for months upon months this Target feels like a cluttered, understaffed warehouse. I can't believe I'm saying this, but avoid this flea market and shop elsewhere.

Hate to put the staff on blast but I was flabbergasted at how awfully messy this store was. I also think this is the first store I’ve ever been to without music playing. Rough, depressing vibes. Management could really step up their game.

I never leave businesses bad reviews but this store has become a safety issue. There are certain items I can only get at target and I used to love this store. But, the last few months it looks like a Goodwill/ yard sale. Tonight I found an elderly woman literally trapped because the clothes all over the floor were tangled in her wheelchair tires and she was hidden from employees behind the stacks of boxes in the isle. She said she’d been stuck there for a while with no help from anyone. Targets reputation as a caring safe space is a joke if a woman in a wheelchair can’t get what she needs without getting trapped.

To fully appreciate the value of this particular retailer, you should have some awareness of the watery, bog-like nature of most of Maine. Here is one of the few places situated above the mire, unlike most of the business on the Stillwater Avenue strip, which are slowly sinking like an obese person in quicksand. The self-checkout is really popular here, and there is some kind of barista. There isn't always a huge selection of produce or dairy products, and this serves as a reminder that the place is not a grocery store. To shop here is to experience busy employees in a cozy atmosphere.

Target in Bangor Maine has been on a huge decline , in the way of service , professionalism, neatness , cleanliness , organization. All of their aisles are plugged full of merchandise and no one there to unbox .. every aisle is blocked off , if not blocked off things are thrown everywhere .. employees are non existent . You used to see staff fronting the aisles , and cleaning their departments, this is non existent . 1 cashier , with lines of people .. it’s been a disaster for months , I first thought it was due to the holidays , however this has not improved sadly . New manager ? Perhaps Target needs to continue their search ! The restrooms are atrocious!! Dirty !!

A wild experience, there were pallets of merch, dirt and garbage everywhere. One person on the entire floor, and one on the cash. Almost amazed by how strange this target is. Felt like the supermarket in the start of apocalypse movies. The only picture I got was of the target dog at the entrance which now serves as an ominous memory that foreshadowed what was to come.Not 1 star because I snagged a target exclusive Lana vinyl.

This Bangor location is a mess. It is hard to get a cart around. The bathroom was also a mess.I witnessed a shorter bald man and a curly haired woman, that seemed to be managers, talking harshly to a person named Josh. The managers used hostile body language with harsh tones. The woman even rolled her eyes at Josh. They were telling the young man (Josh) to quit his job right then and there if he was not happy. In conclusion, the store is a mess and their managers are not accommodating their employees. I am now a former customer.

Store has been a complete and utter unorganized mess for months. Store needs more staff and mainly better management. Trash everywhere and items scattered across the floor. The isles are blocked off with pallets and boxes stacked 8 feet high. I don’t know how this place still gets business, especially considering target is more expensive than other chain retail stores.

I dont know if it's a staffing issue or just shoppers being SO disrespectful, but oh my... I had no words when walking through Target. It was so messy with things all over the floor and garbage all over the store, shopping carts full of random stuff throughout the isles. Shelves were empty, and the clothes were so bad I couldn't even push my cart through. I'm sorry to the staff who are trying to clean up that mess. Wow

Absolute disaster. I’ve just moved back to this area and I can’t believe out of all the Targets I have visited this one is the worst one. The only way to shop here most of the time is to just order for pickup. Good luck finding the items on your list in this chaos. Every day looks like the day after Black Friday years ago.

Used to be the best place to go, clean and full. Now there is stock all over the floor but empty shelves. Self check down and 2 registers open. Walmart doesn't have the same issue so can't blame labor.

What is happening at this location?! The women's section is always an absolute mess. People, why is it so hard to ATTEMPT to put stuff back when you're done looking at it?! Have some class. Also, employees are always stocking shelves when I shop inside and act annoyed when I need to get down the isle. Please step it up at this location, managers. I've been to Targets all over the US and this one is an embarrassment.

The Bangor Target is an absolute mess. I was in there today clothes on the floor, just piled everywhere, no organization at all!!! Toys all on the floor. Someone dropped cases of cat food and left the cans all on the floor. Mardens is more organized than this dump. Will never go back to this surplus store EVER!!!! They definitely are looking for a law suit when someone gets hurt and will be well deserved

I don't know if it's the store being understaffed or the customers being disgusting humans but this Target is the worst I've ever been to. It's messy, and nothing is stocked. I'll drive to Augusta before I visit this location again.

Absolutely disgusting store. I’ve worked retail for 20+ years and this is the worst I’ve ever seen. Clothes thrown everywhere, carts upon carts of random products sitting around, boxes of stock waiting to be put out, empty shelves everywhere, employees doing nothing… cashier slower than cold molasses and the personality of a rock. Do better, Bangor!

The organization and cleanliness of this store has severely deteriorated over the last couple of years. Cloths are never refolded, boxes line every aisle, items are out of place, and no one is picking up empty Dunkin’ cups left on shelves. The clutter is expected with Mardens but the scene does match flea market prices. If you suffer from OCD, stay away.

This store is the messiest, most unkempt Target I have seen in my life. My wife and I travel throughout the US and Target is our go-to store for all of our shopping needs. This store will never be used by us. I was a mid and upper level manager for a multi -national corporation for many years and if any of my operations looked as this store does, my job would have been in serious jeopardy. It's astounding to me that Target allows a store to be this messy.

What a dump. I realize getting help is an issue. But shopping it was noticeably in poor management. Old “fall” flowers that should have been tossed were still on display for sale😆 most aisles looked destroyed or similar to some local chain like Mardens.The Grocery dept! Wow.. completely demolished. Such an embarrassment.Checkout area.. wins it all I watched 2 target employees hanging by the cart area swearing talking about personal garbage. Unbelievable how unprofessional businesses have allowed it to get. Literally hire anyone with a pulse.

Store has been chaotic for months but today was just filthy. There are so many pallets of merchandise in the aisles you cannot get around with a cart. It is dangerous trying to walk around all the mess. Today the already dirty floors where covered with strewn merchandise and shelves nearly empty. Sad to see at a store I have enjoyed.

came to target after having a bad day and went to the dressing room area where an older employee was blantantly rude to me about where my cart was, and with that kind of treatment I didn’t even try anything on and left the store.

Loved the store and the selection. Didn't like how choppy the store is set up. Many walls set up as dividers but you can't see the ceiling signs for that section until you are past the wall.

Honestly, disgust with Bangor locale. The men's room was disgusting. Some sections of the store had rummaged products strewed here and there from people picking through, and boxes laying around on floors too. Employees are hard to find to ask questions with no name badges or easily identifiable way to tell of they are a target employee, aside from a red top... Just feels disorganized af and it hasn't gotten better.
