Wow! This place is a gardeners dream! Huge selection, arranged in sections so its easy to find what you need. The staff is super helpful and large carts are available to load up on plants. Prices seem to be in line with any big box garden center prices - which is saying something because the quality and selection trumps them all. I will definitely be returning and do all my plant/veggie/shrub/herb/flower/fruit tree shopping here in the future. If you are in the Bangor area, it's worth stopping by. There's also a waterwheel and chickens! A+++

Best place to buy flowers by far! I have been buying flowers from Sprague’s for the past 4 years and have always been satisfied with how long they last and the overall quality. Not only are their flowers better than any big box store, the staff is always super helpful and friendly.

They have pie 🎃 and regular huge pumpkins in different colors. They have a great deal on beautiful Mums buy 2 get 1 free...👌. My daughter bought white pie pumpkin for me to try for pumpkin pie. Got to look for some recipies.

Great place for all of your planting needs.Friendly staff who know plants, and can give tips to caring for them to get the most out of them.Love the jug club. One purchase and you get free refills of their liquid plant food for the season.When I want to buy roses that will last I come to Sprague's.

Jackpot! We're new to the area and looking for hearty lilacs. The shrub, tree, and perennial selection was excellent! I'm sure the annuals were as well, but we didn't browse the greenhouses. We look forward to visiting again!

The tree is nice looking but immediately started dropping needles as soon as we got it home and into water . We have had it for three days now and the floor is covered with needles. Not sure it will still be standing once Christmas arrives. This should not be the case for the amount we paid! Previous years trees from other sellers did not do this!!

They have a great selection, especially of David Austin Roses, Jeepers Creepers ground covers and certain natives compared to other nurseries. Everything is well kept and clean. But wow the prices, not sure how they expect anyone with a large yard to afford to shop there. I always love to check out local garden centres and have been to many all over Maine, and Sprague's is by far the most expensive I have been to, by a lot! I will be sticking with Longfellows as my go-to garden center.As well I was not impressed with the staff, not a single hello but instead annoyance at you being there. Some workers were standing around chatting and blocking the path to plants we wanted to look at and responded very rudely to our polite excuse us.

Yes it's a lovely place well kept and well stocked with some specialty items but twice the price of home Depot so many of their annuals p w for example which is proven winner price is out at almost twice what home Depot has it at. Magnolias that were $70 or between 30 and 50 and home Depot. Yes maybe a little smaller but the greatest selection a cheaper prices at the home Depot

They have so many beautiful trees to choose from here! Every single staff that we interacted with today were incredibly friendly and super helpful. Inside of the nursery they have decorations, poinsettias and so many other wonderful things! This is the second year in a row we have gotten our tree from here and we will continue to do so.

It's worth the drive from Ellsworth to Sprague's Nursery. They have an extremely wide variety of products. The plants are all in good shape and very healthy.They also have a very wide variety of gardening decorations and gift items that are reasonably priced and uniquely attractive.You can also find a variety of soil and mulch that they can deliver too if necessary. A great business!

Sprague's has been our Go to for seedlings, patio and deck plant, fall mums, rose bushes and mother's day plants for many years. We visited last weekend and found not much of anything. In the past when I have spoken to friends and neighbors about Sprague's, I've been told they are high priced and not friendly. I never felt that way until last year. This year was awful! The quality of their plants was bad compared to years past. Prices were higher than usual, and the staff was unbelievably rude and not helpful! We will never go there again. For anything!

My Sister-in-Law and I just did a Make&Take event and we had a great time! We will definitely sign up for more classes and events in the future. We also love their house plant selection and seasonal decor options as well.

Absolutely love Sprague's! They go out of their way to ensure customers have access to such a large variety of plants, including the uncommon tropical house plants. I love everyone who works there, they are all very knowledgeable about the products, diseases, and how to fertilize them! I'm thankful that spragues is in Bangor, even if it hurts my wallet :)

The workers were very helpful and knowledgeable, they even wrapped our plants with plastic so the plants wouldn't lose all kinds of leaves when we transported them. I will recommend them to every gardener and landscaper I come across

Paid 360 for 3 yards of raised bed soil . It has no nutritional value in it all my plants this year are dying . I have had a garden for 10 years plus . Changed soil this year and horrible results. Not happy will buy bags of soil from now on
