This Shaw's has the best floral dept! Really tasteful arrangements, good selections of plants, and really fresh and beautiful loose flowers, if you want to make your own arrangement. Also, have always gotten great help if I needed it. Seriously better than a lot of florists in the area.

Homeless.I would say 4 years ago this was a great location to go shopping at but thanks to the support of the Bangor area homeless shelter in Archie and Boyd we have a store where now every time my family comes here my little girl and son have to ask me why there's sharp object things in the bathrooms. This is a great store to go to though if you like to be accosted by homeless people asking you for cigarettes money from marijuana or generally just wanting to be anywhere where you can find a tweaker then this is the prime location especially for the Bangor area tweakers page

I wish I could give 7 or 10 stars. This place is.amazing and impeccable. Clean generous aisles with easily readable massive signs help to feel at home at this super store. The place is extraordinary well set up and offers a variety of food at a high level of quality. Their produce is top notch; still not overpriced. Whether niche needs such as gluten free, organic etc will find an astonishing variety of foods to buy. From kitchen needs to greeting cards flowers a pharmacy and drug store products you will not be disappointed to give Bangors Shaws a try.

To walk into a store without thinking "CAVEAT EMPTOR" is really nice. The store brands are pretty good, the produce isn't too bad and there is a cute little baked goods section. This particular location is situated near the Police Station and the Fire Department so the odds are you might rub elbows with Bangor's service personnel. The self-checkout is one of the highlights of the shopping experience, even though they are really crowded at times. Booze, lotto and money orders are sold here, and I think wiring money is available also. The local transit bus has a stop right in front of the place, if that's your thing. Not bad!

Good for in store shopping but fulfilling delivery orders is lacking. No communication about out of stock items. The items they did not have were not offered to substitute and were the main ingredient I needed. Just avoid delivery if you can.

When I visited Shaw's Supermarket its great grocery store in Maine for my vacation to buy breakfast like apples turnover pastry it's was so good 👍 beautiful tote bag with portland head lighthouse say Shaw's I kept as silverne I visited the beautiful portland head lighthouse one workers and staffs are very friendly to me gave directions to the famous lighthouse. Great store 👏 from Chicago IL to Maine it was great trip. Thanks for the help Shaw's the best gocery store.

The new customer service manger was great she really listened to me when I asked about issues! The old customer manager was not very helpful in the past! Were glad they put another customer service manager at this store! Thank you!

Rewards program is awesome, use it all the time and it actually works on saving money on my shopping trips. Also now have included free items on the app on occasion not needing to have a reward used. App now features healthy choice support. Not sure how I feel about the new rewards changes-we'll see

UPDATE: spoke with store manager, he was very professional and respectful, they are taking steps to remedy the situation. Thank you for listening!Purchased an item and noticed the price that was rang up was different than what was on the shelf. Check out gal looked at us funny, said it wasn't her fault. It was a $0.50 difference of which we said it wasn't necessary she went through the work of doing the refund. Just let somebody know to fix it. No thank you, no smile, no apology rather get out of my face and leave me alone reaction. Hmmm...ok then.

We liked the store, appeared well stocked and organized. I entered the bathroom and it is disgusting! Very dirty, can’t enter the regular stall without rubbing all over the dirty toilet because the door opens so close! Neither stall has door latches that work for privacy and there are no feminine hygiene receptacles! Disgusting!!

The pharmacy is excellent. I was having issues with Walgreens so I moved all scripts to Shaw's and they got everything taken care of for me.I also like their app.

A far better selection than Hannaford and always so clean. The pharmacy is great and super convenient to grab while shopping. There is usually only one line open so the lines are often long but it’s still the best option compared to other local grocery stores

Do NOT use the TO-GO shopping on their app. Every order has had missing items, rotten food and this last trip, they charged my account an extra $47 2 days after the order. Completely DONE. I have called and complained multiple times only to be told the manager will call me back, but I never get a call back. Thankfully their merchant vendor found the overcharge and is refunding my account....but I will not be shopping here again.

So I had a positive review below, but today my husband's been planning to make a specific meal that required 2 lbs of tasso ham. There were 2 full tasso hams and a dried up little end piece. My husband asked if the deli guy if he could start on a new one because he didn't want the end but the deli guy said "no, I can't do that." So my husband said "well I won't buy it then" and the guy said "have a nice day."If this is your policy, bad idea. You lost a sale and he wants to go to hannafords now—and he shops at your store almost every day.I purchased cheese there once and the guy offered me the end for free. That would be a better policy.-------------------------------------Seldom experience people who take pride in their work, but whoever is cooking the wings and that whole section tonight, is doing a great job.

Shaw's is not my favorite supermarket. They occasionally run specials, so I went for one. And I was reminded why I don't go reguarly. ONE register lane open. They force customers to use the self checkout lanes. I hate those. Of course, there weren't any available anyway. Remind me, Shaws, why you try to antagonize customers? Your prices are generally higher than all the other grocers, and you do your best to give the worst service in town. I'll be back again in 4-5 years, if you're still there.

Shaws is much like a Publix in the Southeast. Their pharmacy had the best price using GoodRX for my prescription. I bought some yummy chicken salad in the deli and if I wasn't going to be on the road for a few hours before returning home I would have done a lot more shopping. They are on the higher end price wise but have quality products and selection.

Horrible Floral Delivery. I ordered flowers for a very sick friend. They were delivered to the wrong location. Two days later they were finally delivered to the hospital, but by then they were starting to wilt and my friend had been transferred to another hospital. I tried to get replacements delivered, or at least a refund. First I was told they don’t deliver, then finally said they use Doordash and they would have to make the refund. First, I don’t know how to contact them, and second, if that’s who they hire for deliveries, I feel that they’re at fault. Needless to say, my dear friend didn’t get her flowers and I didn’t get a $30 refund. I will say that the assistant in the floral department was very helpful, although I could never reach the department head.

Much nicer than Hannaford. Store is super clean, easy to navigate and offers a better selection of products. The prices are a little lower too.It's not in the nicest area of Bangor, but don't let that deter you.UpDate : sadly things have gone downhill since I first started shopping here. Now it's always filled with local " homeless", the shelves are not being kept restocked properly and there was a stabbing out side a couple of weeks ago. Not going back.

Neighborhoods favorite grocery store. A wide variety of items, fresh produce, and meat/fish/deli counters. Bakery provides nicer options for cakes than your average grocery store. Bagels are very light if you can get your hands on them each Sunday.

Just did my pickup order with them again last week. Excellent once again! Anyways been 2 employees that bring it out and load. Makes it fast and I'm on my way. Also no real waiting for pickup, i placed order and next day was picking it up, fast here at Shaws for your Grocery pickup service needs, unlike the over a week wait a W chain store at this time...Most everything was in stock, but as expected with any store right now. Love their bags here! Not the flimsy paper that rips easy like other stores, but nice strong form of plastic ones! Love it!

Super good lamb chops! Great price too. I had to get some beef short ribs. They looked great! Three inches tall and wide, like the biggest slab of bacon you ever seen!!! I'll tell ya how they tasted on the outdoor grill!!! 😎

There’s a guy who works here that is a scammer. His name is Ernest Watson and he posts fake items on Facebook marketplace, takes your money, and never sends the item. He accepts your offer in marketplace, then messages you from the non-marketplace thread. I fell for it.This has nothing to do with Shaw’s. But if management at Shaw’s sees this, careful with this untrustworthy scammer.

Nice store overall. Tried the tuna finger sandwiches. Very chincy on the tuna salad. Maybe a tsp or two per sandwich... make sure you pick up a drink with this one.

I go to Shaw's pharmacy for my dogs prescriptions and they are proficient, efficient, and very personable.Much cheaper than filling my dog's meds at the vet office! So glad I discovered this option!
