We were so pleasantly surprised by this pet store! The staff were all very knowledgeable and most importantly ALL of the animals/critters/creatures looked very happy and well taken care of. This place is very out of the way for us, but I would make the special trip again :) Some pet stores can be depressing, especially some of the big chains, but these folks are doing it right!

The owner is very knowledgeable, but the employee Ros is a huge asset to this store as well!!! These two are informative, friendly, efficient and actually ready and happy to help me whenever I walk through the door!! I always get my feeder mice here and can't speak high enough praises!!!

Good products.Only two complaints are that I bought a ferret here and he had pneumonia and infected my other ferret with it and he died consequently. Other complaint is that my husband made some returns because he changed his mind on having a fish tank and I came in the store shortly after he made the return, and the female employee was talking down about him.Other than those two things, cool place.

By far the best pet store in the area. They are so knowledgeable and helpful and they have an incredible selection of fish and supplies. We’ve stocked our nano tanks and our betta community tank with their fish, all are doing really well. We even had to run in once for advice because one of our Peppered Corydoras was injured while spawning, they helped right away, and following their advice our fish is now happy and healthy. Thank you all so much for all of your help and advice, and for being our favorite local store.

No stars honestly. They should be closed for good. They sold me a male and female rat and told me they were both females. I even have paperwork for proof. I am pissed. I am having baby rats.

I Love this store! The owners are Fantastic, He is a Marine Biologist, incredibly intelligent, and always willing to answer your questions. I Stocked my 90 gallon Saltwater exclusively with fish from PetPro, every single fish lived, and I still have to this day. Super healthy Fish, I highly recommend this place, they also have a Store in Ellsworth, Sharon is absolutely great, they have a beautiful Dog Park, and a huge selection of great foods for dogs and cats. Freshwater Fish and Plants, I’m always amazed at how many different freshwater fish they stock, there must be 50 or 60 tanks of all freshwater species. I visit Frequently just to look around, the tanks are always clean, check them out.

Omg got my yoshi and then kiwi and miss Paula parakeets from them N hope was great when got yoshi N the owner is a great guy when he picked the best pair of keets out of 2 pairs..they make 6 babies for me...green ones is miss Paula and kiwi..other one is yoshi...

Store can feel a little overwhelming but the staff are all good. Location is a different story, the mall is run down and a ghost town. This is not the pet store issue though. They have a good selection of fish and accessories.

This is THE ONLY place worth going around here for all your pets, and pet supplies. The staff (especially the owner Alex) is amazing. They're VERY knowledgeable, and take the time to answer any questions you may have. I have spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars here, and have NEVER gotten bad fish, bad equipment, bad attitude, bad customer service, or bad advice. I have 14 tanks, and 98 percent of all my fish have come from PETPRO...I also have a rabbit from there, and buy all my pet supplies (including my parrots supplies) there, and it's not over priced like a lot of other places. Stop by, and you won't be disappointed.

I had fantastic customer service today after I came in with a sample of my water and a troubled tank. The gentleman that works there took the time to thoroughly test my water and point me int right direction to fix my tank (on multiple levels, not just a quick here put this in, good luck and bye). A few hours later and you can already see a difference in my tank and fish. I've been in there a few times in the past few months and they are definitely my go to place now for my fish and dog needs. The lady that's helped me a few times is also outstanding and the young lady I talked to on the phone once was as well! The pigs ears are also the best quality I've seen around and a great price as well!

My center of attention here at Pet Pro in Bangor is always freshwater fish & aquariums. They also have a beautiful selection and a great looking saltwater section as well. They have ALL things needed for aquarium hobbyist! Tanks, gravel, wide variety of H2O treatments & conditioners, heaters, filters & even used/replacement parts & necessities! Popular & top brand names!I would recommend this store to anyone!Price lean a bit toward the heavier side, but their selection is great!Customer service👍 A++ the staff are all extremely friendly & knowledgeable!***THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR***If you are buying live plantsfor your aquarium, be cautious when introducing them into your home aquarium bc plants sometimes carry fungus, parasites or some other funky stuff that can make your fish and/or aquarium sick... It couldn't hurt to "quarantine" your new plants/fish for a couple days before introducing them into the new aquarium. (This has happened to me before and totally ruined my tank = hospital tank for my fish and total tank tear down and start all over from scratch.... Fish 😷 🐟)

Great selection and very knowledgeable staff who are happy to help. We end up there more than twice a week due to our bearded dragon's diet, and much prefer this shop over other local pet shops. The prices are comparable and the stock is typically better kept. Store is clean and organized. Someone is generally available to offer personal assistance if needed within 5 minutes, and will spend as much time answering any questions as you need.

This pet store is probably the best for fish and reptile owners. They have a lot of specialty and nutritional supplements for both types of pets. They have a wide variety of items for furry friends as well.

Alright selection, fairly rude owner in my opinion tries to rush you out the door. Doesn't know what he orders for fish just says try next week no clue what they ordered not very helpful at all. But like said said does have a larger selection of fish then others around.

The staff is so knowledgeable and they took the time to make sure we knew exactly how to care for fish as first-time fish owners. Their advice is clearly based on the best interest of the pet. They have wonderful toys for cats and dogs and they willingly ordered in my special dog food so I could get everything for our pets in one place! I highly recommend this store for all pet needs!!!

Great place to get pet supplies. They have a great assortment of fresh and salt water fish at low prices. They also have Lizards, Snakes, Geckos, Ferrets, Guinea pigs, Rats, Mice, Hamsters, and Birds. Animal tanks and cages are priced nicely also. Good place to being kids and check out some animals. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable.

Figured I would throw a review on here too. Wanted to say, in a time where customer service is all but dead, this place shines. Can’t remember the young fellas name that helped get my tank setup, but I’d have dead fish without his help. Quality customer service, bravo.

Amazing locally owned fish store. Very healthy fish that I've had amazing sucesss growing and breeding. The staff and owner are very knowledgeable and friendly. If they don't a species you want they will do there best to get them. I've enjoyed going to petpro for years and really appreciate the customer service.
