This was a gem of a find, one of the best co-op groceries I’ve found across the Northeast. The quality is superb and they have a huge array of vegan food, organic produce, herbs, vitamins, non-alcoholic beer varieties, and just amazing options everywhere you look. The prices are decent as well. I walked in the pouring rain just to get here and it was worth it. People are also very nice.

This place has been one my very favorite places to be in Bangor. I started shopping here 35 years ago when I first moved back to this area. Health food stores should be familiar friendly helpful places where you learn a lot and you are never intimidated by asking the smallest question. That was and still is that place. Thirty - five years ago I had two infants and was looking for organic baby food. One of the owners at the time immediately took me under her wing and made me feel right at home. I was in the store several times a week for the baby food as it was only sold by the individual jars and a bit costly. When she found I was traveling 70 miles round trip 3 times a week with my 2 infants to purchase this food - she immediately arranged for me to purchase it by the Case at a much lower cost. That's the kind of place it is. They have a wide variety of items packaged and in bulk.. The people there are very helpful , even the other customers are. I noticed it is lacking in a variety of plant based milk products but have a wide variety of most all other items, such as produce , juices books ,and of course health food for your pet. Compared to other Health Food stores I think it is reasonably priced in general There his also a small deli located in the far corner of the Store.The Natural Living Center is a place were you cannot help but have a bit of new knowledge and a positive attitude to take with you when you leave. And that's on the House !

The staff were very helpful and the isles are spacious. The stocks were well stacked, visible and easy to find. I enjoyed the healthy meal and special healthy tea from the tea section. I highly recommend the Natural Living Center. Bravo to the staff!

I like getting herbs and granola here. The price for those normally seems low. The price for rice seems high. Sometimes I get some expensive juice. Almost everything in there cost more than the regular grocery store. If you have that much money and want to go all organic I think you'll really like Natural Living Center.They have muesli.

Service has went way down hill the last few years but is now at an all time low. Time to start ordering everything online. We tried, but it's become an uphill battle for for good customer service.

Great store! Their holistic medicine section is very large and staff is always willing to assist in what you are looking for.Produce is organic and they have a great selection of local milk, kefir, yogurt, and cheeses from cow and goat milk.Beer, wine, spices, pasta, home goods. There’s something for everyone!While you’re there, DEFINITELY pick yourself up some ‘The Doanestead Farm’ products. The tallow lip balm is a must have for Maine winters.

I’m a local and I love the staff here so much I had to write this review to tell the truth about the staff after reading inaccurate reviews from evidently negative folks! The staff at the Natural Living Center are incredibly supportive- offering kindness, a welcoming energy and quality information every time I go in to buy food (at least 2x month). I am also more than delighted to pay more for my food because the quality of food is also outstanding and you get rewarded as a regular when you appropriately use their loyalty system/punch card.

The Natural Living Center has a large assortment of health foods, nutritional supplements, organic foods, spices, herbs, teas, grains, and much more! They even have a pet food and eco-friendly cleaning items.I would highly recommend shopping there!

One of the.most surprising stores in Bangor. Set up like a regular groceries store, this little oases has all natural and organic needs covered. From goat cheeses to organic produce in great variety, an amazing nuts and grains refill station, waste defying packaging, homeopathic remedies, supplies for your own brewing/vine making, supplements bit alao all daily needs.covered. it is a foodies dream.especially when you have to be product conscious like gluten intolerant etc. Wow!

Best place in Bangor, easily the greatest grocery store this side of Maine. The staff are kind and very helpful, and they even have a Cafe. The selection of vegetarian and vegan groceries is unlike anything you have seen before. Going to the natural living center is an amazing experience I recommend to anyone and everyone.

Great products - bad service.We shopped here about once a month and always appreciated the bulk section and dry goods in particular but after last visit, we will only go as a last resort.. First, the prices on shelves are almost always INACCURATE, the total is always higher than we expect. We also buy yogurt here, return the jar for deposit each time we go back but this time the cashier said they don't do that... we also bought peppers that were labeled an each price but charged by the lb - which would've been fine except it made them double the cost!!

Went 40 miles for one specific item after I had called ahead. They were out by the time I got there. The cashier was obviously inconvenienced by my request for help, noted by the tone he used with me, and in regards to me when talking with another staff member. I'm glad whatever he had going on, on his cellphone, at the register, was so important. I'll find another place to shop for specialty products and not take another dollar of business through the doors here.

My daughter just moved to Bangor, Maine. First visit; I'm impressed. There are some unique items I haven't seen in my home state. Really happy this store is here for my daughter and her family! I'll certainly be stopping when I'm here visiting, too.

The Natural Living Center is a well-stocked store with many organic items for sale. The prices are in line with other stores selling organic items. One of the treat items I buy for a snack to eat on the way back home is a bag of Organic Date Coconut Rolls; delicious.

Really wanted to like this place but the prices here have gotten insane, if you aren't rich don't shop here!! Everything I found was 3-5$ more then anywhere else. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good but yall need to try to make stuff cheaper maybe start with having less to choose from

Really great selection of local products and goods as well as many major staple items from lager well known earth and health friendly companies. Employees are friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean. It's great to be able to know where your food comes from and a great local store to provide jobs and products to consumers.

Without a doubt, Bangor's best market and a personal must on my list every time I come to down. The bulk spices and foods are without a doubt the most competitively priced in Maine. It's just the best. If you've never been, I cannot recommend this place too much.

We drove for a couple hours to get here and it did not disappoint! On a limited diet, due to health reasons, and really enjoyed the selection they offer! Prices were a little steep on some items, but I think it was overall very fair considering the variety and quality! Wish the cafe could have been open as their food sounded REALLY great! I'm sure it will be back open as soon as they can!

They are the kindest place in Bangor. Has good food of all kinds. The employees show a lot of care in their work. And they are not stressed or stressful like employees at Walmart or Lowe's or any of the big name places. They keep a clean and calm environment. Overall in my opinion they just seem like amazing people.
