In the good old days the local store was a community cornerstone who could be trusted to know all about their customers and their needs. When you shop at this Hannaford for awhile, you can almost expect to be recognized before you even enter the doorway. The quality of the groceries in this market now rank among the best in Bangor, with excellent produce and fruits, fresh meats, a nifty delicatessen section and everything you might expect from a good grocer. The shopping center that the store is located in has easy, direct access from the highway or other parts of town. Should you enter the shopping center from the south entrance on Broadway that is across from the donut shop watch out for the super-duper pothole in the middle of the road!

Very clean and well laid-out location. The location of the store is also very convenient because since it is in a strip mall there are other places where you can just make one stop and get several errands done. Although it was busy I was able to get in and out quite quickly and the staff was quite friendly.

Good for basics, less variety and stock than other Hannaford stores. Plenty of parking and decent staff. I will say they have the small carts rather than those weird double decker carts and I do live that.

Several years ago, this Hannaford imposed restrictions on approximately 12 of their prime parking spots to To-Go only. They inforced this with a letter on my windshield addressing me as "Valued Customer". Recently they reduced the number of BDN weekend newspapers to only enough copies to satisfy the early Saturday shoppers. Today I learned that they have discontinued ALL the Ortega brand Taco sauces. Valued customer?? Ha!! Not so..

Good store. Lack of cashier's is not fun when its busy , they will literally stand there and watch you wait in the 2 lines open instead of stepping up and separating themselves from all the other useless do it yourself self check out. The parking is sketch as well.

One of the better Hannafords in the area. Produce lacks a good organic section. One big problem, though. No pizza dough or pizza shells. Tortillas on every aisle, but no pizza shells.

A good place to shop. Easily in and out. Be careful on a motorcycle as the parking lot is a nightmare with all the rubber/tar filled cracks. They throw your bike around when turning but other than that it's fine.

Clean and fully stocked store. Employees are friendly and courteous. Self-checkout is available if the lines are too long for you, but they are pretty quick to open more registers. I really like the early opening times so I can get my shopping done before the masses show up.

If you want to go to union Street DON'T. They use to have everything an amazing selection, but now many bare shelves, only find about 50% of what you came for, and if you get and use the just for you coupons they are sure to be out of the product until the coupon expires. I became to frustrated with union Street so tried Broadway and they had full shelves. One item I had been trying to get on union Street for over a week, Broadway had about 16 or more. If you are looking for something you always buy your best bet is Broadway. Definitely worth the further distance when you can actually get what you came for.

Close to home and on the bus route for most people in Bangor, and it only takes about 5 minutes to get there on the public bus. Store is in ok shape and kept kind of clean, but is usually out of stock of necessities, sale items, and most decent stuff to cook healthy homemade meals for The family. Also, I feel like the employees could do a way better job of keeping the store organized, stocked, and clean.

This location offers a lot of choices for produce and bakery. The wine selection is pretty good. The meat section is spread out and can be annoying to get from one side to the other. The checkouts are quick most of the time and I have never had an issue to report to management so no complaints there

Very very expensive. I'm on a low sodium diet so I tried to buy all low sodium items and I bought some cleaning products for my home and when I checked out I thought it was going to be like $100 at least 240 dollars. Now that was a rude awakening food is just so expensive now I don't know what we should do about it . I just wish food prices would go down. They know we have to eat and feed our children the staff and everybody who works yeah is very nice they have a nice crew of people working there. Do you have a great day people. Stay safe and stay warm. Everything will fall into place with this covid 19..

For me and my two teenage boys it's all about the ☆SUSHI, too bad our Hannaford in Newport does not provide that service. I was born in Milo Maine but lived most of my life in S.E. FLA & ALL Publix supermarkets provide a sushi chef with fresh sushi everyday along with an award-winning Bakery all foods made there fresh, not sent in prepackaged along with many other amenities but the Hannaford's supermarkets up here that do have the sushi chefs all remind me of the Publix Supermarkets down south they also have very fresh produce in common as well, keep up the good work & talk to Newport about stepping up their game it would be much appreciated!

Great produce selection and friendly staff. The line for the pharmacy can get ridiculously long, but the pharmacy techs and pharmacists are always extremely helpful. Their gluten-free selection is continuously growing and their fresh meats are good quality.

I would like to know from the store manager why the guys in the meat department are so rude and unfriendly? It’s been this way for years and I’ve said something before. They hate to help you at that meat counter. I spend a lot of money there multiple times a week and you think they could be a little more friendly knowing your helping pay there paychecks!!!!!

My wife and I go grocery shopping here due to the location of our house. Once we go in they do have electric scooters with baskets so I'm able to get around.Their produce is always fresh and their cuts of meat are always on point. If you don't want something prewrapped, their is a fresh cut section as well that will adjust to your liking. Use their rewards program to get certain things unadvertised at low prices and credit where you can help your next food bill.

The organization of items can be unintuitive, and it can be difficult to find a worker on the floor. However, in my experience, the workers are extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are very good and they have many surprisingly good store brand variants.

Many fresh selections from fruits to fish. Well stocked, good lighting and very clean. Plenty of staff throughout store but only cashier engaged in conversation. They have added a self check out area and are currently doing other upgrades.

Kudos to the workers here. They do a great job even when the pressure isn't on them like right now, and they do a good job in this stressful situation as well. Shelves are stocked the best they can be, the store is clean and well maintained, and the workers are super helpful.

This is the store I always go to. The people who work there are super awesome and wonderful. Today I went and I walked outside, I realized I bought the wrong item and just wanted to exchange for the item I did want. The policy has changed which I completely understand because of the virus. You can't return or exchange an item unless it's damaged. That's fine that's not the issue. The issue is the way the teenage girl told me. She had an attitude. I am sorry I was not aware of the policy change, but she could of told me in a nicer tone. Completely rude. I honestly felt like crying because I was being talked down to as if I was a child. I should of gotten a name but I didnt. She might need to be retrained on how to approach customers. Thank you to the other workers who are rocking it out though!! You guys are awesome.

I love shopping at Hannaford, they have very good prices and deals. I of course signed up asap for Hannaford rewards and coupons,they always have the best coupons for you to save money off of groceries, wether it be money off of single items or money off of a basket ( like $10 off a "basket" or transaction of $40 or more etc ). Hannaford is my favorite place to shop for groceries, the selection and prices can't be beat, I always save a lot of money every time I shop there.

Always have a better stocked store than Belfast location. Guy even went out back to get me broccoli when i asked if they were out. Good store.
