This store is clean and smells good. Most thirst shops smell rotten but I was glad that it was refreshing inside the store. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming. I asked one of the worker’s a question and she was very polite and helpful. She gave me more information than I needed so I understood what I wanted. The donation center is quick and easy, you drop your stuff in a cubby and they bring it inside. The hours are till 5pm for weekdays, I don’t remember the weekend. You can call, I’m sure they would be delighted to answer your questions.

I use to go every Saturday it was my day out just for me. Now I only go about once a month and very seldomy I buy anything now that the prices have gonna up .I'm retired so I live on a fixed income, If I'm going to pay those prices I'll buy new which is cheaper in some cases when you find it on sale. I prefer salvation army I get way better deals there I get shirts $3 to 4 instead of 6-10 dollars and color of the week clothingis 50 cents

Seriously this is outrageous, they look up the value of the items and put them on the sales floor to match it, who is gonna buy $40 shoes like seriously, and a $50 board game and a $80 golf club, they said they help people but they don’t with these prices

This place is extremely high priced! Saw an item marked $10 flipped it over and had the home goods price still on it for $7.99! Unreal! Will not come back and don’t think anyone should waste their time or money on this place.

Me and my wife don’t make a lot of money… so when we need clothes on the fly we go to goodwill sometimes. a place that’s supposed to help people but my wife went to return two shirts and was being helped by who she said was the store manager! 1. She had an extremely unpleasant attitude! (If you’re going to work in retail management get better people skills) I’ve worked in retail for almost 10 years and retail management for a few years recently in different capacities. Not once do I treat any of my customers like that. 2. Apparently you can’t return anything with the tag off the item! That is the most idiotic policy for any retail location let alone one that is there to help people who can’t afford clothes all the time as it is! And the prices on some of the item are a bit much as well! This is really not a great place to go if you want great customer service and clothing or other items. I will be reaching out to their headquarters and filing a complaint! Be good, do good and be a good person that’s what matters the most!

Went during the middle of the day and the store was a mess. Half of the clothing items I looked at were either stained or ripped. $10 for a shirt with a giant stain on the front! In their handpicked section they had a disgusting adult baby fetish outfit! Talk about "family friendly" they should be ashamed. Only good thing was that thencashier was polite.

A very disappointing visit. I work with developmentally disabled adults who live independently and on a fixed income. We often shop at Thrift Stores, Yard Sales and Walmart. As they need household items, clothing and linens but cannot afford much.We hadn't been to the Bangor Goodwill in quite a while. I always look for the tag color for the week and let them know what to look for on pricing. Not only did we not find many in that color, yellow, for half off.However I did find basic tshirts for $15, even a stained one for $6. Jeans, over priced, blankets, sheets all over priced. Same with housewares. Needless to say we won't be coming back. We will stick with the Salvation Army when we come to Bangor.

Always find what I need and more!! And yes this one has a bathroom!! The employees are always very friendly and helpful! Also I love the fact that there is an outlet to test electronics before buying!!

Lots of good deals and friendly staff. Everything was really easy to find cause it was labeled so well. My only advice is for the dresses just check them all cause all the sizes are all mixed up

I purchased a dresser fromGoodwill for $70.00 the lady that rang me up told me the night stand went with it qent back in to pick dresser up and they had a $40.00 price tag on the night stand and the employees would not let me take the dresser from the store they said the employees had to well that was ok until they dropped a drawer from the dresser and broke it and wouldn't do anything about it last time shopping this store

We bought a dresser from them today and they woild.nit let us carry it out. As they were carrying it out they broke it. We went in to talk to the manager and he pretty much told us that it sucks but nothing he can do!

It's a nice big Goodwill. In general, Goodwill of Northern New England runs clean, we'll organized stores and this one is no exception. You can find good deals but you have to search. Prices at this particular store tend to be on the high side. They get some unique and quality items. The trick is to find the item you want at a reasonable price.

Enjoyed looking around but I have an issue with pricing. Seems a bit steep... I bought a nice clean lazy boy double recliner for $25, and put back a pair of sneakers that were priced at $40.. scratched CDs for $8. Please rethink the pricing!

Prices are contuine to sore upwards but other then some outrages prices on used things, employee's are making headway with the customers ,they are friendly helpful an seemed to always smile though our questions.. My wife and son primarily shop here. I have gone in and the store is clean, the staff friendly and helpful. They have some interesting things for sale in addition to the usual used and donated items. All items are in generally serviceable condition, they seem to go over the donated items carefully. Considering it is a charitable organization, they provide a good product for those who need to watch their money or want a bargain as well as some decent jobs for people in our area. I would recommend the Bangor Goodwill.

Here's what you might not expect: isles dedicated to good, *new* items. Yes, as in, unused. And I am not just talking about Halloween glow sticks and cheap cotton swabs.This Thrift Store has a wide selection of stuff you would already expect, and that's great, but throughout the year you might find: new high-quality winter coats and accessories, work gloves and boots, expendable kitchen supplies like ziplock bags and aluminum foil, detergents, and many more.It gets even better when you look for something like winter clothes in the early spring: I caught a 70% sale on a woven fluffy hat and thick soft gloves, as well as some nylon stockings and some durable socks!Definitely check out their new item isles: they may be close to the changing rooms and used kitchen supplies, but that location may change. Awesome stuff with Dollar Tree tags or even cheaper!

Maybe I'm missing something? I moved here a couple of months ago and went into this Goodwill for the second time since I've been here. Figured I'd give it another shot. I am a little confused at the steep prices. There is a very low selection of clothing, and most shirts (even tee shirts!) are six dollars. Some of the "higher end" stuff (A UMaine pullover) was ten dollars!! A lot of the clothing is old and worn out, some of the sections are very cluttered as well, so I'm not sure how or why they are keeping their prices so high. I bought a few things, but only the clothing items that were 50% off. For a state that has such a low median income, this store may want to rethink their pricing. The guy who checked me out was friendly, so there's a star.

prices on goods are too high..some higher than new in retail. example is canning jars priced at $2 each. That is over twice the retail price and even 30% higher when it's on color sale.I do like to stop in often however just to poke around. Staff are friendly.

Good selection of merchandise, but so many people go there that it is over-priced and over-shopped. I am at the point that I pretty much only shop the sales at Goodwill. I don't know where all the $ goes, but they raised their prices disproportionately to the economy. On the plus side, the clerks are usually cheerful.

The staff are friendly and Knowledgeable, try to help anyway we can.. Great customers , wonderful product.. Helping a lot of great causes .. And Sunday’s and Monday’s are Dollar days a particular color changes each week and that barb no matter what the price was is $1.00 and but a discount card and you’ll save save save even more , while helping great causes and helping you and your family!

It seems more and more that the goodwill people are entirely lacking in good will. I dropped by to donate some things. The guy stood there and watched me getting my stuff out and waited until I was walking to the store before he said it’s too late in the day for them to take donations. I wouldn’t have bothered me so much but he was just so rude about it.

Browse here regularly. They recently changed the layout of the store, and have a "curated" area. This area is a display that you might find in a store window. However, in my opinion, it cut down the actual area for retail stock.

I was not too impresses at all. This store has recently been reorganizing, less plus size clothing, and their prices even on books has gone up significantly why pay 5 dollars for a book i can get online cheeper. Even their shoes were pricey at 12 dollarsfor a used pair of womens dress shoes.

I agree. Goodwill in Bangor was one of my favorite places to shop. But I have found, in the last few years, that prices are higher, quality is not necessarily improved and the employees seem unhappy. Now I know why. It used to be that you could barter with the clerks for lower prices. Now prices are written in stone. I have seen items that should be in the rag pile selling for $3.00 or more. Heck, you can get the same thing, new, at a department store for as cheap as $5.00 At the other end of the spectrum, furniture prices are way to high, I think. I still stop in once and awhile, but I don't stay long.

Good prices, watch clothes for holes, missing zippers, etc. Some new things available still with tags/packaging. Make sure if you're going to return something that you have the barbs and/or price stickers still in tact or they WILL REFUSE to return the item.
