It's a cool venue, well decorated and clean. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage personal pizza. It was OK. The sauce needed some kind of seasoning. Anything at all, really. The rest of the toppings were good, but the cheese was really greasy.My girlfriend ordered the dagwood and said it was bland. They have extra sauces and red pepper flakes behind the counter. You have to ask for them.It was reasonably fast and inexpensive, but it wouldn't take much to make this food really good.Parking: Parking spots were plentiful, and the lot was mostly empty during what should've been a lunch rush on a SundayKid-friendliness: It seemed like it would be kid friendly. There were no kids there, though.

I don't normally give five stars across the board and normally service probably isn't always consistent but for this particular experience I literally had nothing to complain about.Food was great. I got a bucket of spaghetti with meatballs and sauce with a bag of bread and a two liter of pepsi. The spaghetti is thin spaghetti which is what I like, the sauce is amazing, the bread is pretty good and the order came with a two liter of soda. The price was $28.00 for all that included. It was on special.Service was good. Friendly staff on. Monica the boss on duty was a genuinely nice person, told her what I wanted and she pointed out the deal on spaghetti which saved me money. Went out of her way to be kind, very good service.Atmosphere was fine. We went for lunch so it wasn't super busy, we sat in the dining room which was empty, probably a slow hour but that's okay because it was relaxing and peaceful and enjoyed our food. The dining room was very clean and stocked. The bathroom was exceptionally clean too. No complaints. Parking is usually easy to get into. Plenty of parking spots.It's not as expensive as other places.Overall, 5 stars. ❤️

By far the best steak and cheese sandwich I've had in my short time in Maine. The bread was the most delicious part. The taste of it and the texture were perfect! I was a dine in and started looking for a place to sit. The dining area was not well cleaned. Every table was unkempt like they had a huge rush and just forgot about it. Definitely the first place I would go for a quick take out order!

We got Italian sandwiches. They asked if we wanted pepperoncini peppers on our sandwiches and we said yes. We did comment it was our first time there but they failed to mention it was .99 extra, per sandwich, for the few slices of peppers. That's aggravating. The place is a little dated, but cute. You order at the counter and go pick up when they call your number. The sandwich was okay after I totally rearranged the vegetables so that I could eat it without everything falling out all over me. Not bad, not great.Vegetarian options: Veggie sub, veggie pizza, pasta, salad

I joined the loyalty club today and came in to try the meatball sub as I do pretty much everywhere I go. I am looking for that go-to meatball sub and sadly this one was no better than any other I've had recently. In fact I was disappointed when I looked closely and noticed that the onions and green peppers I asked for where not there. Also the first 2 bites were almost void of any meatball at all, just a small "piece" a what used to be a meatball. Overall it was just average and probably won't order it again. I am willing to try the pizza later this week and hopefully it will win me over or I won't be very loyal. Sorry.

The staff was friendly enough. I ordered 2 sandwiches, I’m not sure why it took so long to make them and it was expensive. The turkey sandwiches I got with “everything on them” was basically a sub roll with one slice of turkey and cheese, three little slivers of pickle and probably a full cup on onions. I mean, we could not believe how much onion was in these sandwiches. Subway is a lot cheaper and I feel they provide a lot more substance and value in their subs. I used to eat at Sams with my family as a kid and and as much as I want to support local businesses the value is just not there to go back. My GF said 2 stars is generous.

Picked up two sandwiches, one with tomato sauce. Placed upside down in the bag we had to fish through tomato sauce to pull these out. They did taste very good though

Sams Italian in Augusta Maine is not as good as years ago. We walked in and it feels over 100° in the restaurant. Ordered the food & had bout 30 min wait. Got our pizzas and there is chuncks of fat on the bacon and pineapple also some bacon on my hamburg (only) pizza. Maybe today is just an off day, I hope so. Also, my stepfathers ziti meatball meal comes w only one flavorless meatball.

Ordered 2 turkey Italian sandwiches, both without tomatoes and added extra pickles to both. Added olives to one. Rather than replace the tomatoes with the extra pickles like most places, I was charged $2 for extra pickles per sandwich, and $1 for the olives. The total was $30 ($5 for the "extra" toppings) for 2 turkey sandwiches. Outrageous. The sandwiches are extremely overpriced for being unreasonably bland. I could make them better myself. Save yourself the disappointment and go to Amato's - They won't charge you for extra toppings and you'll get a delicious sandwich every time.

Good pizza, but the staff seemed to all hate each other. That really slowed down service. When my order was ready, I stood and watched it sit on the counter for several minutes before it made the final 5 foot journey to my hands. The gentleman providing counter service should stop constantly scowling or I fear his face will be stuck like that. Keep him in the dish pit or something for Christ sake.

My go-to place for Italian fare took a turn to mediocre-ville, so I tried Sam's and was immediately reminded of how the sauce makes the pizza ... and what an unexpected and flavorful treat it was. My wife ordered the BLT and was appreciative that the sandwich was made with a good dose of chopped bacon and not limited to two, fatty slices. It was a flavorful experience, all the way around. When you consider that the staff couldn't have been more friendly, and that the food was ready at the time requested (with NO additional waiting, which is what calling in an order is all about), it seems as though we've found a new Italian place. Give these guys a try, and you may just find a new bestee as well - Enjoy!

Edible. Barely. Had the philly cheese steak. Cheap ingredients and mozzarella cheese? Mozz on a Philly? I get it they only want to bother having one cheese on hand. Lame. My two dining companions were also not impressed with their meals. A small pepperoni pizza we ordered to share was the highlight of the meal and was just OK.

We were seated with an attitude, 4 workers and we were just a party of 2! Only people in entire restaurant and when our food that we patiently waited for, it was called out so rudely, when it was clear we never ate here before. Then when I asked for napkins and crushed red hot peppers it was given to me very rudely as if I knew it was self serve. I regret tipping 15%

I went there tonight and bought three spaghetti dinners. They left some things out of my meals. Plus, they do not change their gloves at all. One person kept pulling up his pants and touching face. He would then go to make food without changing his gloves. When I asked for him to change his gloves, the other worker got aggravated with me for even asking. She did ask him to change his gloves. I think with any restraunt you should be changing gloves. Especially if you touch money, pull your pants up, or touch your face.
