Huge, well stocked Walmart with friendly staff and amazing skyline views. I visited here to get a few essentials and quickly discovered this store had a great selection of everything. It was so big I needed to ask for help a few times to locate things and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Checkout was quick and easy. Best of all, though, was the view from the spacious parking lot. Great place to get supplies and watch the sunset!

It's a good Walmart as Long as there's no storm coming or food stamp day. They always have a bunch of cashiers working the registers. THEIR PHARMACY IS TOP NOTCH STAFF. They have Super helpful, friendly pharmacy associates. Definitely recommend this Walmart 👌

I have actually never been to this specific Walmart. But I do not recommend. The parking lot has moving poles that jump out randomly in front of your car. Multiple people have experienced this here. Probably best to proceed to the next closest Walmart so you and your car to have the best shopping experience. 1 star

Both Auburn and Oxford Walmarts are easily accessible - however they don't always sell the same products/brands. Also, just bc one location has specific items, doesn't mean the other will carry those same items.

Gas is the best price I've seen in years... I have on occasion timed my fillups to coincide with trips to Auburn (an hour from home) for this reason. It can be chaotic and a longer wait time at various times throughout the day, but it's a controlled chaos that most other patrons understand. As for the actual store, it's always pretty busy but I can't fault them for that. Regarding my visits, the store has been clean, well-stocked and staff are helpful and friendly. Automotive department is amazing!!

I went through self checkout with one arm in a sling. the head cashier had a box of paper bags, I asked if I could get one and even offered to pay for one. I showed her my sling and that I had only one working arm, and she wouldn't give me one or offer any help what so ever.They literally let people live in their parking lots, but wont help a paying customer with one working arm get a bag.I'm done supporting these scumbags.

People who here are not happy, nor are they helpful. All of their employees walk around aimlessly, and none of them know where anything ever is. 🙄 Like it's the first time they've ever been in there . Horrible language barrier is another problem. Ask one simple question and nobody speaks English while looking at you with 7 heads, or you just kicked a puppy.

Store 1868 is a very disappointing place to shop. A lot of the associates are very rude especially the new ones. They don't think they need to do anything but stand around.Self check out Is a joke. Somethings double scan and the people working the self check out seem to not care. They are too busy gossiping about people or making fun others to be paying attention to the customers who need help. They are always out of recycle bags they don't even have paper bags. Someone isn't keeping up with things.

I had an issue with my Straight talk phone. The Tech guy was awesome. Turns out, Straight talk had power outages. He just needed to turn my phone completely off, then back on. My phone reset its self and my internet connection was resolved.

Check dates before buying any food!! Three times in the past 6 months I unknowingly bought old food. Anywhere from 3 - 6 months past expiration. This last time cause me and family members to get very sick and require hospitalization. Do not trust them to rotate stock unfortunately. They also don't answer phones ofc so they will not get better with this issue. Please PSA check your food dates. First time was 'fresh' rotisserie chicken left under lamp for 12 hours, next was pop tarts (shelf stable for months, right?) One full year past expiration. This last time was Sandwich bread on the shelf, bought 01/05/2024, expired last october. Expired 10/19. They will sell product that gets people sick and not care.

Their employees need more training apparently. Their self checkout attendant wants people to do spark orders in the opposite order from the app. This results inaccurate bag counts. Should be fixed immediately.

Very deceptive pricing practices. Had a Christmas tree labeled as marked down to $37.13. When we got to the register however the “Manager” comes over and tells us its the full $99.99. And we could get the display model for the discount. It didn’t say that ANYWHERE on the discount label. And of course I had my kids with me when this happened and couldn’t disappoint them and not get the tree they wanted. Shame on you walmart

I don't usually rate anything, but I am getting legitimately pissed off that there are never any bags to even purchase when I go in. I'm playing Jenga with everything I'm purchasing, and I'm not purchasing all of the items that I would if I just had access to bags, although I will say it's helping my pocket out a bit. I'm probably just going to start going to target.

Like most self respecting people, I avoid Walmart like the plague, always preferring the relative normalcy of a Target store. Unfortunately, "Wally-World" was the only place nearby that carried the specifically sized cooking pot required by my wife. Being impressed by my shopping experiences in Maine since arriving 6 months ago, I was willing to visit our local location. I was greatly mistaken. I now understand that no matter the state, the Walmart experience remains a horrible constant. As if by some eldrich cosmic curse, a miasma of despair leaches from the mega-store's very foundation. The hordes of seemingly confused and dead-eyed clientele lurch about in various stages of undress and questionable hygiene. Not to be out done, the shifty and constantly staring employees are always right around the next aisle, their presence being only slightly less unnerving than carnies. You can do better. Avoid this place. It was stressful and depressing.

The associate in Electronics was available immediately as I had topay for my items there. Also an associate was available at the self checkout for the rest of my items. The Auburn Walmart is always busy but the managers stay on top of activity and keep check out moving smoothly. Hi, this part is an update that I was asked to do. I continue to be very pleased with the Auburn Walmart. There are always friendly associates available if assistance is needed. I do a good 80 percent of my shopping at Walmart. They all continue to be easy peasy places to shop. And WOW, who can say no to a MEGA box of frosted mini wheats?!?

This location has a great variety of items to fulfill your everyday needs, grocery needs, clothing needs, baby needs and entertainment needs. Most of the staff is pleasant to be around, with a few exceptions. Some employees like to hover even though you're a good citizen who doesn't cause mischief. The management is seemingly nonexistent and rarely deals with problems directly. But, I can usually make it in and out of this location rather quickly and when you order ahead, they do a good job of having it ready ahead of time and getting it out to your vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. The store is clean. It can be rather crowded at times, but it's usually not the kind of crowded that tends to be too stressful. Wheelchair accessible. Van parking for wheelchair lifts. Plenty of parking overall. Positive experiences, about 8 of every 10 visits. (80%)

Cheapest prices in Maine. Sometimes a little short of help. I never use those self service checkouts. I like there prices and products very much. Suggestion get more carts you sit and ride on, not enough there in Auburn, ME to take care of so many customers that are disabled.

Went to pick up several prescriptions that according to the recorded message were to be available after 4:00pm the previous day. When I arrived at 1:00pm the following day, I was told they were still in the process of filling the prescriptions. Not a huge problem, but in the future I will call ahead and speak to a live person to be sure my order is ready before making a trip to the store.

Due to some miscommunication at the tire and auto center on Nov. 11, 2023, my patients was pushed to the limit. System problems, a poor reservation system and lack of transparency in tire service pricing all culminated into a very bad experience for me. Unfortunately, Dante (spelling?) received the brunt of my frustration. He handled it very well with exceptional customer service. I was going to walk away from ever using the Walmart tire and auto center but he resolved the problem and has kept me as a customer. I truly hope I did not ruin his day and I hope Walmart appreciates the amazing employee they have. Thank you Dante!

It's Walmart, I wouldn't expect much, really. The staff is grumpy, more than likely because they are overworked and not cared about by ownership and management alike. It's a meat grinder in there. The store is usually clean and since the pandemic, they run out of stuff and some stuff takes a lot of time to stock back up.
